COLLINS JANITORIAL SERVICE

His answering machine was not connected. I had to call 3 times. I persisted based on a previous customer report. I finally reached David Collins and made an appointment. On the day of appointment he called to tell me he had a cleaning accident and we agreed to reschedule and he would call me back on Friday. I did not hear from him and called him on Monday. We scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. He did not show up. When I tried to call him he had overlaid 2 messages on answer machine greeting so it was hard to hear any message, but left 2 messages. I finally reached David 2 hours after time he was supposed to show up (In the meantime I had cancelled my AM appointment and my tenant was waiting also). When I finally reached him he said he decided he was not going to do the job because he had worked for me before (he had apparently gotten me mixed up with a previous customer as this was the first time I used him and was also the first resource I decided to use from Angie's List). This is a very small business, which is not run very professionally. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this business.

David came to give me an estimate and make sure he could actually clean the floor. He came with his associate the next day. The job he thought would take an hour took 3 1/2. They had to go over many areas three and four times, applying stripper, letting it set, then using the machine on it, AND sometimes getting down on hands and knees and scrubbing by hand. Even though the job was much more difficult than he had anticipated, he never got discouraged, angry, or grouchy. He and his associate laughed and joked and looked hard for areas that were not perfectly clean. Then when I was satisfied, they left. They even scrubbed off the back porch because they had left footprints on it. Then a few days later, he called to be sure I was happy. He said if I had noticed any areas they had missed, he'd come back and fix them.
