+ -1 moreI scheduled the 8 AM - 10 AM window, but the day of the appointment, I learned that Coit had 11 AM - 1 PM in their books. I waited. When the technician was ready to leave, he said that I would have to buy my own vent filter to replace the dirty one, so he couldn't replace it. No one had told me that. A clean filter seems like an important part of having clean air, so you'd think someone would mention it. When I asked if he could come back to install it, he couldn't tell me. I spoke to Coit, who spoke to him, but he still couldn't tell me when he could come back to install the filter. I can't tell how well the cleaning was done, but I hope the quality was better than the part of the experience that I witnessed.

+ -1 moreThey did what they came to do. There is just no way that I can say that it is an invaluable service. Is my floor cleaner, yes. Was it worth what they charged, No ... not at all. Especially since they didn't move any appliance (refrigerator) and when they left there were puddles under the washer, dryer, stove and refrigerator that they never wiped up. The puddles were dirty water that was left behind by the machinery.
Description of Work: I had called Coit based on a discount coupon found in the newspaper and their numerous ads on TV. I asked them to clean one of our bathrooms which is VERY Small. This included the floor and the shower. We had tried everything else to get rid of this mystery spot and figured we couldn't lose. I was never told by the person who answered the phone that there was a $150 minimum. They quoted me $135 to do JUST the bathroom but would have to charge $150 if I didn't want other work done. I agreed to do our kitchen floor as well. I have a galley kitchen which is long and narrow. They also did the adjacent dining room which was more dusty than anything. All of these rooms are relatively small. They also didn't measure anything using a tape measure ... they counted square feet by "walking off the area." Now my bill is up to over $325.00. This is just ridiculous. You are applying water (my water by the way) and a cleaning solvent to the floor and scrubbing it with a scrub brush on a long pole. You are not re-doing my floor. The value for the service is just not there. I have a Hoover Floormate which could have done just as well and for a lot less money. The only reason I agreed to the xtra work was so I wouldn't have to pay $150 for JUST the bathroom. The guys who came to do the work were nice enough but I feel as if it is their job to sell you on doing more. When they left there were puddles of dirty water under my raised cabinets that I had to mop up. There are still spots on the grout. The corners of all the rooms are still dirty as well. Oh .. and they never asked if I had animals and my cat escaped. I didn't know they were going to leave my front door open. So considering that they are using my water (gallons and gallons of it) and turned on every light and fan in my house ..... I have a feeling that this bill will total well over $400 in the long run. I probably could have put in a new floor for that amount of money. Would I use them again, no. The coupon was 40% off. Can you imagine what the bill would have been without it? Ouch. It would have been cheaper to hire a cleanng service to come out for the day. Oh ... and my Hoover Floor Mate at least leaves the place smelling good. :-)

+ -1 moreThe first time they showed up, their was only one person and he said the job was too large for him and that Colt would need to send a 2 person team. When they came out the next time, they had a 2 person team with a truck mounted duct cleaning system. I felt that they did an excellent job and because they had to come out a second time they reduced my cost by $50 to $350.
Description of Work: They cleaned the air ducts in my house. I have a 2 story house with 2 systems and 12 ducts.

+ 0 moreWhenever I called them, 2 men in a truck come out at the earliest. They move all the furniture, clean the carpet and place the furniture back. They also cleaned the drapes for me, in the past. They are good with removing all types of stains, especially with pets stain. I have been using their services for 20 odd years and will continue to use the same in future.

+ -1 moreThe worst experience ever. Charged for Scotchguarding Carpets...I tested with some water after...absorded immediately into the rug. I know it wasn't done because I've used service to scotchguard many upholstery items and rugs before. They have several people working in the same office, but they lead you to believe there are multiple locations...there is only one located in MONROVIA and they have switchboard that takes calls and schedules appointments. They cancelled and mis-scheduled many appointments...took days to get them there. They are now sending me past due invoices and threatening collections for DRAPERY CLEANING...I don't have ANY window treatments in my entire house. No curtains or drapes. They will not reconcile this invoice. They also had to come back to clean the sofa because they did such a bad time the first time...it came totally clean during the second visit. Their price quotes are laughable...changes on a dime and depending on who you speak to. SAVE YOURSELF...call someone else.

+ -1 moreThe estimate was free. They were alright. He was a nice guy, but they were very late. They called and said they were going to be there a little bit later and they were even later than that. The person who came out seemed to be knowledgeable and pleasant. It was in the evening and I don't think he left our house until 8. As far as the person and the estimate they gave us, that was fine.

+ -1 morei was told of the appointment the day before.. a voicemail said that the Coit people would show up between 8-11 the next day. no one confirmed or asked if this appointment was ok. with us. we decided to keep the appointment. two men came to the home and asked if i wanted to show them where the vents were located or if i wanted them to just go on their own and count.. i went with them. after they counted the vents (took about 3 minutes) one of the men proceed to give me an estimate that was outrageous, even with the 35% off they offer on Angie's list. we had gotten a previous estimate (no discounts) and were thinking they would come in close.. if they had, we would have used them because of their rating on Angie's list. after i told them that their bid was unacceptable, and that i had a previous bid for much less, the gentleman that wrote out the bid said if i had a bid from a professional company of the same standing as Coit, they would match their quote. i felt this was very unprofessional and told them so.. why not just give me a fair bid from the beginning?

I used them once before 2 years ago and when I went online to check their ratings, it reconfirmed my feelings from the first visit. I would not have had them do my drapes if I hadn't seen the reviews. The price was very competitive but they were a little iffy getting back to me about scheduling things.
Description of Work: Coit cleaned the carpeting in 5 bedrooms, the bonus room, 3 halls, and 15 stairs. They also cleaned the drapes and they cleaned the marble.

+ -1 moreI was very unhappy with them. They did such poor work that I had to call somebody else to do the work again. They just sent one person. He did not pre vacuum or pre treat. He did not move any furniture either. When I asked them they said they don’t do that. I have used them in the past and I know they do move the furniture. They sent a person back after I complained, but I just wanted my money back.

+ -1 moreThe add had read 35% off service, an additional 5% if I mentioned I had also heard this add on the radio. My husband went over what was needed regarding cleaning the couches when the tech arrived. We have a cream colored couch and a brown couch. The cream color couch had nunmerous areas that needed to be cleaned. At no time did the tech mention he may not be able to get the spots out. My husband did not check after they were done and I came home and looked at the couch, not one of the dirty areas had been removed. I had had this couch cleaned in the past, so I know these stains could have been removed. The tech never mentioned a word to my husband that he was unable to clean these spots. Honesty, it looked no different than before the couch was cleaned. Not only that, the price was way too high. $240 to clean 2 couches and a chair And, note, this was with a 40% discount! I was extremley disappointed and will never use them again.

+ -1 moreGot the estimate on Thursday, March 26th and set the appointment for the air duct cleaning to be done the following Tuesday, March 31st. Appointed time of arrival was at 8:30am-9:00am. They arrived at about 8:40am. Ruben was my estimate rep and also one of the technicians that did the air duct cleaning; the other was Joe. When they arrived, they both got to work right away. They had also informed me and my family that the machines would make a large amount of noise while the cleaning was being done. Both of them started sealing the vents in the master bedroom, then attached their industrial box vacuum to start. While Ruben was cleaning each air duct in the master, Joe moved on to the other upstairs rooms to seal off the vents. Later in each of the other rooms, Joe would air jet the air ducts and Ruben would brush and wipe clean the ventilation covers. They had a very efficient system down, so the cleaning process had completed faster than I had anticipated. I had a few questions about the cleaning process and both Ruben and Joe took the time to explain things to me very clearly in between rooms. They cleaned all 28 of my air ducts and ventilation covers and collected all the blue plastic seals they had used for the sealing of the vents prior upon completion. Lastly, they applied a protectant by the use of a handheld fog producing machine through the air ducts and told me to leave the fan on throughout the air system for 10 minutes. I agreed to cut the check for payment of service after the service was completed.
Description of Work: Cleaned 28 air ducts throughout my home, cleaned the 28 ventilation covers, and fogged all the air ducts with a lemony microbio protectant.

+ -1 moreThe tech came within the appointed time and got right to cleaning the upstairs rooms, then two flights of stairs. He later applied a protectant on the carpeted areas. We also had asked him if he could clean one of our rugs and he did that also. He came, he conquered, he packed away his equipment, and I cut him a check upon completion of the service. Arrived at about 4pm and left at about 6pm.
Description of Work: Cleaned and added protectant (Guard) to carpeted areas in 4 bedrooms and 2 flights of stairs (15 steps each).
