COIT Cleaning and Restoration of Los Angeles

They were good and fast. Gave the best price estimate and did a fine job. They were a little messy -- not intentional. One of the pieces of tape came off the vent so they blew the contents into the livingroom. I didn't notice it happened until after they left (it wasn't much). I was able to clean it up with the Swiffer. They were professional, respectful and prompt. All in all, a very good experience.

I AM DISGUSTED WITH THE SERVICE I HAVE RECENTLY RECEIVED FROM COIT. I AM A PREVIOUS CUSTOMER OF COIT. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM ANTHONY FROM COIT OFFERING ME A 40% DISCOUNT AND I SCHEDULED SERVICE. THEY GAVE ME A 2 HOUR WINDOW ON 11/11. THEY CALLED WITHIN THE WINDOW TO SAY THAT THE TECHNICIAN WOULD BE 45 MINUTES LATE. WE SAID - OK WE WOULD WAIT. 1 HOUR LATER WE CALLED AND SAID WE COULDN'T WAIT ANYMORE AND COULD WE RESCHEDULE TO A TIME WHERE WE HAVE A GUARANTEED WINDOW - WE WERE TOTALLY FLEXIBLE WHEN THAT WOULD BE...WE JUST WANTED SOMEONE TO BE THERE. WE WERE RESCHEDULED TO 11/13 AND GIVEN A GUARANTEED SPOT FROM 10-12. AT 11:57, THERE WAS NO ONE THERE SO WE CALLED. WE SPOKE W/ LORETTA WHO SAID THE DRIVER WAS THERE. WHEN WE SAID THEY WERE NOT THERE, SHE SAID, WELL THEY ARE PARKING. WE SAID, THEY DIDN'T MAKE IT W/IN THE WINDOW. SHE ARGUED THAT THEY WERE THERE, QUICKLY SAID IN AN ANGRY VOICE, 'FINE, WE'LL RESCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW' AND HUNG UP. I CALLED BACK AND SPOKE WITH LORETTA WHO WAS WHOLLY UNAPOLOGETIC FOR WHAT WE HAD EXPERIENCED OVER THE 5 HOURS OVER 2 DAYS WE HAD SAT AT HOME WAITING FOR COIT TO COME. SHE WOULD NOT APOLOGIZE. WHEN WE ASKED TO SPEAK WITH HER MANAGER, SHE SAID THAT VINCE WAS BUSY AND WOULD CALL US BACK. IN THE MEAN TIME, I GOT ANOTHER CALL FROM 'ANTHONY' ASKING ME TO SCHEDULE SERVICE AND OFFERING ME A DISCOUNT. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I THINK THE WORST PART OF ALL IS HOW NON-CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED THE PEOPLE I SPOKE WITH WERE. INSTEAD OF TRYING TO KEEP ME AS A CUSTOMER AND SHOWING SOME EMPATHY FOR THE EXPERIENCE WE JUST HAD, THEY ARGUED WITH ME...IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!!! IN THIS ECONOMY - I CAN'T IMAGINE YOU SHOULD BE TURNING OFF CUSTOMERS!!! THEY HAVE A 100% SERVICE GUARANTEE...I AM 100% UNSATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE. TRUST ME - I WILL BE TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS HOW UNPROFESSIONAL, NON-CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED, AND UNRELIABLE COIT IS. WE WILL NEVER BE USING COIT AGAIN.

The quality of the work and the professionalism of the worker were fully acceptable. My issue is as regards the costs. The entire time spent was about 2.5 hours. 1.5 or more hours were devoted to the cleaning of the tile floors and shower tile. The charge for that was $439.00. That works out to more than $200.00 per hour. The charge to grout around the two tub areas was $160.00. This is simply a bead of grout at the joint of the tub and tile. This seems excessive. The carpet cleaning took maybe 45 minutes and the costs were $285.00. Again, something in excess of $200.00 per hour. I asked Coit to reconsider the billing. They did not respond. I disputed the charge through my credit card company but Coit refused to respond to my credit card company. My credit card company eventually credited the full amount back to me. Coit then billed me again. They now refused to respond to my complaints and threaten collection. I complained to the BBB and they deny receiving my or my credit card company s correspondence and are again threatening collection. A very unethical company. While I appreciate your work, the costs are excessive.

They did good job cleaning the carpet. Employee on phone and person who did cleaning were profession and polite. I had to move furniture around for them to do cleaning.

They did a lousy job cleaning our rugs. Our hallway was getting sort of dingy so we had them clean it. It's worse now than when before they came to clean it. As the rugs dried we could see stains still. We are going to have to have it done again, but certainly not by Coit. They did come on time. We would not use them again.

Arrived on time, gave quote within ball park of other quotes, and proceeded to do the work.

I should have sent the guys home. They acted like they didn't know what they were doing from the get-go or they didn't care. We specifically told them about the legs on the couch. We told them to be careful, as the couch was very old. They didn't put anything underneath that was sturdy enough. They put little pieces under the feet, and they weren't large enough, so when we checked the next day, the water had run over the metal legs and leaked red onto all of the carpet. They totally ruined the carpet and we had to tear it up. They offered to give the money back, but we had to take up the entire carpet and put hard wood floor down. Now they won't return our calls. The administrative staff agreed the carpet was ruined. The first manager was not helpful. Janet tried to help us, but there has been no follow through. Their offer of $200.00 was not acceptable, since we had to take out 50 square feet of carpet.

Customer service transferred me to William and left him a voicemail. It's been over a week and he still hasn't returned the phone call. Called again and customer service will not give an estimate over the phone, although it is a vacant unit and I have measured the square footage. I have used Coit many times before and never had to deal with something like this. Advised them that they will lose my business, but they didn't seem to give a damn. Too many other comparable companies out there for this attitude.

They were very good. The carpets looked very clean. The also cleaned the upholstery.

They were very reasonable and did a good job. If my puppy had cooperated, they would not have had to come back. I appreciate that they don't try to sell me a ton of other services.

I was not very satisfied. I don't think it was cleaned very well. I have Berber carpet and normally it is cleaned very easily. There were a few spots that did not get done and it left streaks. He seemed to be distracted.

We called on Friday afternoon. They called back a couple hours later to say that they would be out the next day between 2 and 4 p.m. One person arrived within the window promised, prepared an estimate, promptly started work, got it done in a reasonable time, moved the furniture in the family room back into place once he was done. He didnt try to sell me a bunch of extras and the price quoted was within the range I expected based on other reviews on Angies List.

We called the COIT toll-free number from an Angies List coupon. The two operators (names not clear on the invoice) arrived within the first half of the two hour window. They cleaned a cloth-covered couch and the carpet in the living room. They were concerned that the couch dye might run, and tested it first, which pleased about me. There was a small portion of carpet that we had bleached accidentally, and they asked us about that. There was also a stain that we were not aware of (it had been under a chair) This stain was not removed by their process. They didnt mention it, and wrote no guarantee on all stain removal on the invoice. I didnt expect that all stains could be removed, so I am not concerned about it not being removed, but it would have been better to tell me as soon as they found it. From my observation it was clear that the work was done thoroughly and diligently.

They did a terrible job. It lasted about 20 minutes and then the stains came back as soon as they were done and everything was dry. I was very disappointed and I would never use them again or recommend them to other people at all. Their quality of work is poor and that they dont stand behind it.

They did an excellent job and I was very impressed with the quality of the work. They were on time, friendly, and they answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend them.

They were a little pricey, but they do quality work. We've used them in the past and they always show up on time and we have never had any problems with them. I like that they moved the furniture and put it back exactly the way it was.

Tried to charge $197 to clean sofa and chair while claiming it included 35% discount. We bargained to $150.00 (I've never paid more than $110) Also, dome light on ceiling fan broke while he worked (he didn't inform me, I found him cleaning up glass.) He said it was lucky he didn't get hurt and claimed he didn't hit it with the large hose with metal attachment he was using. I never had a problem with the fan before. Since he tried to charge me so much and didn't tell me immediately that it was broken, I didn't trust him but was going to let it go. I only had 20 dollar bills so when I gave him $160 he said he didn't have change and I just wanted to be done with it so I let it go. When he was cleaning up I tried to turn the fan light on by pulling the chain and it wouldn't turn on correctly; as if it were stuck. I got really irritated and told him I thought he broke it since there was something wrong. He continually denied it. Finally, he gave me $20 back so we wouldn't call the office.

I used Coit for carpet cleaning back when I had wall to wall carpeting, and I was happy with their work. This time I called them for cleaning area rugs. They were very courteous on the phone and set up a pick up time, which they confirmed a day before. Then they just didnt show up. A day later they called to confirm a completely different pick up time, one that we had never discussed and was not a possibility for me. They young woman I spoke with at that time was unaware of the previous mix up in the schedule. She also seemed to want to schedule me for tile and grout cleaning, instead of area rugs. I didnt reschedule with Coit because I felt uneasy letting them carry off my somewhat valuable rugs for cleaning. If they were cleaning rugs in my home I might have been more willing to give them a second chance.

Coit did an excellent job, arrived on time, was very friendly and reasonably priced.

Excellent. Prompt to the minute for the appointment to give an estimate and again when time to clean the carpet - the set up was very professional, a giant hose sent all the fluids from the cleaning to a large tank in the truck. The carpet was sparkling clean afterwards with all the bad stains removed.

It was excellent. They were quick, efficient, extremely nice. They picked up things when they left.

Ive scheduled 3 appointments for an estimate on carpet repair and cleaning and have been stood up each time. Not once did anyone call to cancel or reschedule. A very bad experience overall.

Came within the time window. Fair price for work done.

I HAVE VERY OLD LOW GRADE CARPET AND I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR WORK BECAUSE IT LOOKED BRAND NEW AFTER THE CLEANING. I HAVE USED THEM TWO TIMES AND HAVE BEEN EQUALLY IMPRESSED EACH TIME.
