Aqua Care

At this point I am not sure what solution we are going to go forward with but I feel that if I work with Aqua Care that I will have the process and the pros and cons clearly communicated to me and I have found is out (through trial and error) that that is of uttmost importance in getting the results that youre expecting.

They are really great. There is nothing that I dislike about them. I am very satisfied with them. I have no complaints at all. They come out on time and they do what they are supposed to do. They know their work and they are perfect. Their price is fair.

My experience with this contractor was both good and bad. The service was good, but they had made a mess up and they never came back to fix it. They were quick and affordable for the most part and they did a good job. But they were supposed to come back but they never did. I kept trying to contact him and he never responded.

We think they're great. We'd give them a really good review and they had been terrific. They have consistent quality service, they're responsive to all of our requests and needs. He's been helpful with every aspect of the pool equipment and he's a really sweet guy and always accessible. Their prices are reasonable.

Aqua Care is too far away from where we live.

They were somewhat overpriced and we don't feel comfortable with them so we end up going to another company.

They never did the work. I've never had an experience like this with anybody. The equipment needed to be repaired. It needed to have new tile, re-plastered, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Eric and Raul were the ones who came out. They were the nicest people and seemed like they were very knowledgeable. We explained that we wanted to have the work done before the summer. They said fine and basically that they would get back to us within a couple of weeks. They never delivered. I'm not out or any money, but they kept promising and promising. They never did it and kept coming up with excuses. They wouldn't return our phone calls and we never got it done. They really are nice people, but it was six weeks after I've talked to them that I finally got a phone call from Eric asking if I still wanted to go forward with the project, but we were way past the dates and everything. He said that he'll have everything for me and we could get started. He also said that they were just a small business and give them two more weeks. We like to keep our business local and in the area, so I said okay because I had waited so long and I've wasted so much time already. Again, there was no contact and I tried waiting even two weeks past the time he gave, so it finally occurred to me that I've been screwed over once more. We had missed the whole season, so we took the business to someone else that was fabulous. I think Aqua Care is probably great for cleaning your pool and doing minor little repairs, but I don't know why they think they can do big jobs when they obviously can't. He tried to expand the services out and asked if we were going to have the landscaping done because they would do that too. He asked that we don't contact anyone else, talked about the degree he had, what he could do for me, and that it could all be wrapped into one project. I held off contacting other contracts and all he had to do was just call me back to say that they can't do it, but instead they never returned our calls. It was horrible. We always try to keep with small businesses in our area and I tried so hard, but they didn't try.

I talked with several pool vendors, all seems professional and I eventually selected Aqua care for three reasons. one they are close to my house, two, I like Raul's personality, three, Irit has a quick plan to match the pool to house style (no other vendor mentioned). I made the right decision. Irit is sharp with many great ideas and very persuasive (not bad type), This pushed me over budget and I believe the money was well spent looking back. Make sure you spent time with Irit/Raul and go over all the options so as to use your money at features most valuable to you. (too many good stuff there). Raul is very nice and knowledgeable from first sight. I learned many knowledge talking with him here and there. Raul do thing the right way even with extra effort, he do not cut corner. Irit and Raul are very accurate on project schedule (payment schedule as well). I am very happy so far.

They gave me the right information. The estimate was a little bit more detailed. They showed some of the parts they would be using. It was a good estimate.

Raul worked very hard with his assistant to clean and refill the spa. In the process, he determined that the a pump was shot and a new one was ordered. Raul then installed the new pump. Later on he found a leak and added some liquid substance that plugged the leak.

Aqua Care came out for an estimate about a month ago. The estimate was for $50,000. The experience was fantastic. I really like them as a company. I like the honestly. I felt like they were not just salesman. They wanted to give you a good job.

Found great reviews for this company on Angie's List. Wanted pool repairs done before the pool season starts. E-mailed the provider using a link on this site on 3/22/2013. No response in 5 days. Called the provider during business hours on 3/27 using the number listed on this site, got straight to voice mail, and left a message. No response to this date (4/5). Finally we decided not to wait for them and picked another company to do the work. We do not appreciate the delay they have caused us by being non-responsive.

After the first contact they asked if I was ready the same day to replace the pump, that was to soon for us and they were very accommodating about scheduling. We asked a lot of questions about what variable speed means, why is it more energy efficient, does this pump qualify for the City of Los Angeles rebate program, warranty info, programing, etc. They answered everything beyond our expectations are are very knowledgeable in what they do.

We found them on Angie's List after my husband became fed up with servicing the pool himself. They maintain our pool and help us with any needed repairs...pump, pool sweep, light, etc. I always feel they have fair pricing and do very competent work.

Irit provided a lot of very helpful information and suggestions. Seems to really know just about everything regarding swimming pools.

Raul knows what he is doing and means what he says. Finally a real pro.

Through Angies List, I found Aqua Care to take care of my pool and electircal/plumbing issues related to the pool. They have been taking care of the pool for about a year and have done an excellent job with monthly maintenance and repairs, including repairing damage done by previous pool maintenance companies. Aqua Care also does landscaping work, because of their excellent work with pool related issues I hired them to trim and clean several overgrown pine trees surrounding the back patio The pine trees are at least 50 years old and stand 75 feet (or more), they had not been trimmed in over five years and were overgrown, large, thick and messy Raul and Irit of Aqua Care had three or more men worikng in around and up those massive trees cutting, trimming and shaping for three days. The trees grow up from a hilliside and in the backyard facing the Rose Bowl. The trees were trimmed and shaped to the very tip top which seems impossible due to their height. They are now absolutely beautiful. Aqua Care cleaned and removed everything leaving nothing behind, spick and span. I have received many compliments from family and friends who are astonished at the difference and how beautifully the trees were cleaned, trimmed and shaped. The cost to have the job done was about the same as others charged in the past with very poor results. I highly recommend Raul and Irit and Aqua Care in Pasadena for pool and landscaping needs. They are trust worthy and honest people who answer your phone calls, show up on time even in bad weahter, they are knowledgeable excellent workers and good people.

Going well thus far. Awaiting a quote on redoing the pool plaster.

Aqua Care was very good. Angie's list is the first one that I look for stuff.

They were alright. I liked their patience, decision making, working with us and their ability to start right away. We had some markings come up on the wall of the pool after it cured. I guess it happens, but there is quite a bit of it. The price was competitive. With regard to quality, they did a good job.

Smooth project. One of the better contractors I have hired since moving into our new house.

It went extremely well. They were punctual, efficient and we got everything we expected (and probably a little more). We had such terrible experiences with other contractors for our house, so we were quite gunshy. But they were a pleasure to work with. Upfront and honest. They gave us several options to fit our budget and made plenty of useful suggestions. I love Irit - who advised us so well on the different design options (from the color of the water to the tile colors). I would definitely work with Aqua Care again! In fact,we hired them for our regular pool maintenance after the project was complete and we still use them to this day.

Our experience with Aqua Care (Erit and Raul) was outstanding from our first meeting to completion. They removed the plaster and tile repaired the lights added an auto-refill, replastered with mini pebbles and retiled leaving the existing brick coping intact in perfect condition They and their crew did a beautiful job cleaning up each day. I was very impressed with the owners(Erit and Raul) knowledge and helpful spirit, ,They kept us informed during the entire process and worked quickly and efficiently for a great price. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Don'ts: should have gotten more information prior to install about the details of how our pool would operate with a Jandy variable pump as to run our waterfall requires the variable pump to run at a less cost-savings speed compared to just circulating through the pool and bypassing the spa, but overall I am still happy with the more expensive pump as after rebate there is still a cost savings compared to a single speed as we can program the system not to have the water feature when we are out of town. I am a very detailed person and very picky about how I want things to operate Do: hire this company as they are super-responsive and extremely pleasant to work with, and Raul is very knowledgeable about how pools run (plumbing, circulation, etc.) and how pool equipment works.

The service repair was friendly, honest and gave us an excellent expertise, We don't have problems with our pool anymore
