Aqua Care

Called them the week before and they quickly responded and set up an appointment. Raul came out with gave us an estimate free of charge for the work and began work that same week. It was so painless, quick, easy and affordable. We have kept their info handy and referred them to friends as well. They cleaned an existing filter and installed a brand new variable-speed pump, which saves us $$ on electricity, not to mention the rebate we received from the City of L.A. for using an energy efficient model. It was a great experience.

Called Irit to set up an appointment for my hot tub to be set up and discuss maintenance. I requested the tub to be done sometime that week, since I was off from work. She said she needed to look at her schedule, since I caught her while she was on the go and she requested that I text her my information. She responded stating "will get back to you soon" via text. That was two weeks ago. Very disappointing.

Irit and her company had previously worked on our pool and did a good job. She remembered me when I called her. Seemed happy to be able to provide pool maintenance for us. Told me she would stop by to look at our pool and give me a call back within a couple of days. Never called back. I left 2 more messages on her voicemail. Irit never responded. Not even the courtesy of "we can't do the job right now." Very disappointed.

Aqua Care does an excellent job servicing our spa on a weekly basis. They are extremely professional,courteous, kind, and punctual. Moreover, when we have had questions or concerns about the operation of our spa, they have always responded immediately and resolved the issue. As an additional bonus, they have never used our questions to give us a service that we did not need. Aqua Care is extremely honest about how they do their business. As an added bonus, they are really nice people and fun to talk to!

I could NOT BE HAPPIER! I chose Aqua Care because the designer, Irit, was interested in helping me invision the finished product. I had little idea what I wanted, but am a perfectionist. I made several changes as the project proceeded. She is the creative genious. Raul is the technical genius. His crews are awesome. Each crew had their job to do and worked hard, fast, and cut no corners. Steven was a master of several trades and a genius in his own right. He is also a perfectionist! I'm retired and watched quite a bit of this project. Sometimes they knew I was watching, sometimes not! Always the perfectionists though. That says a lot... And a VERY happy crew. Raul and his crew did all kinds of things that I would never have missed. Everything had to be just right to meet his standards. I'm a do-it-yourselfer, and he was very informative and taught me a great deal, happily. In all, I think my pool and patio are the best and prettiest I've ever seen! I love Aqua Care!

Irit and Raul were absolutely fantastic! I would highly recommend Aqua Care to anyone who wants to remodel their pool or have any work done that is within the scope of the work that they perform. Not only did the end result appear perfect and of the highest quality, but I couldn't have imagined a smoother or better process. Their expertise in every area truly made a difficult pool remodel seem simple. I did not know any pool contractors, so I contacted numerous pool contractors (at least six) from different sources. I finally contacted Aqua Care because they were highly rated on Angie's List and I liked what the reviews had to say. I also was impressed with Aqua Care's responsiveness, which was a rare treat among the pool companies I had contacted. Once the job began, I was very impressed that Raul oversaw everything. That is, he didn't just visit occasionally the way many contractors do, but he was onsite every day, all day long. His understanding of all-things-pool inspired the greatest of confidence in him and those he oversaw. The teams and workers that arrived at the work site (laborers, masons, plasterers, etc.), were also wonderful. They worked quietly and systematically the entire day, every day, and they weren?t green about what they were doing? everyone knew what they were doing and had done plenty of jobs before. Everyone had an excellent attitude, tremendous skill, and admirable work ethic. There was not a single ?slacker.? I was also impressed at how clean everything was left in my backyard at the end of every day. When a pile of debris was created (concrete or coping from my old pool), it quietly disappeared before the end of the day as if it never existed-- and the grounds were swept and hosed and left cleaner than before. But most of all, after about a month working every day with Raul or Irit (or both), my impression of them is that they are truly genuine and wonderful people. As different as their personalities are, they are both the type of people with whom one just wants to associate. They have integrity and seem to be completely dedicated to making their customers happy. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending Raul and Irit, a.k.a., Aqua Care, to work on anyone?s pool remodel. If I ever move and have another opportunity to hire a pool contractor, they will be the FIRST, and probably ONLY, people I will call. He came and told me good options to take care of my pool in a cheaper way. Overall he is a decent gentleman .

Cleaning and maintenance of spa/hot tub. Very friendly, professional and competent. Just what we were looking for. We now have them on a monthly agreement.

Raul and Irit and their crews did a fine job of removing the old plaster and tile from our small, exceedingly dirty 9,000 gallon pool, retiling the water line and the raised bond beam, installing new plaster and installing a new pump. But before I get to the details, a word or two about how important it is that one should first be clear on what kind of a pool repair they really need. In our case, for example, we got four estimates. Two were in the $7,000 range and two were in the $12,000 range. They all had good reviews on Angie's List. So one's initial reaction might be to ignore the higher bids and concentrate on the lower ones. But we learned that, instead, one needs to decide what repair one wants. The two lower bids were to 1) re-plaster the pool, 2) re-tile the pool, and 3) repair (rather than replace) the pump. The two higher bids also included 4) changing the single drain at the bottom of the pool to a split drain *, 5) applying epoxy over cracks between the pool and the coping at the water line, 6) new lights and covers, 6) a new variable-speed pump (which qualifies for a $500 rebate); and 7) five day start-up procedure to insure good condition of new plaster. *(I'm not sure the modification to a split drain is required for a private pool in Los Angeles but it is certainly recommended as people have drowned as a result of the single drain design) For some owners, it might be that the three actions of the two low bidders would be sufficient but they should certainly be aware that no further work will be done and that they will be ok with that. In our case, we decided the additional action items were definitely needed so we discarded the two lower bids. We then selected Aqua Care because we felt that Raul and Irit offered a unique service - Raul watched over the actual work on the pool and Irit made good suggestions concerning the design - e.g., selection of the tile colors and overall design. It turned out to be a good decision as the final result was quite remarkable. Not only was the design beautiful but the workmanship was outstanding.

Aqua Care was here when they said they would be. There employees were professional at each of their jobs, i.e. tile setters did tile work and plasterers did the plastering. They were very good at cleaning up after themselves and hauling away any and all debris.

We had been losing a lot of water in our pool and could not locate the source of the leak. Although it took several phone calls to get someone from Aqua Care to return our inquiries, once we were in communication they sent someone and had fixed the problem within 24 hours. This was one of those lucky instances where the problem was minor and it cost a relative pittance of $85 to patch up an opening between our pool and one of the skimmers on the side. They were friendly, prompt, and courteous ? and did not recommend a much more expensive permanent repair. In fact they went out of their way to outline how we could avoid this problem and fix it ourselves in the future. Great service.

Aqua care did every thing they said they would do on time on budget! Delight with the results and would use them again if I have a need.

I cannot say enough good stuff about Irit and Raul. On the initial appointment date they showed up on time and helped me sort though the ideas I had for the pool area. I shared that I was not good at visualizing, so we looked at book samples that Irit had with her. They measured everything and then sent me an estimate, which was very competitive with other estimated we had received. We ultimately selected Aqua Care based on all of the reviews we read on Angie's List, and I have to say that we were not disappointed!! Irit LISTENED to my thoughts about our area, and then gave useful feedback, pointing out things I had not even considered as options before speaking with her. I also appreciated their hands-on approach, stopping by frequently to check on the work that was being done, validating choices before ordering materials, and keeping us informed about next steps. In total, from beginning to end (once the project started), it took about 3 weeks. We are extremely pleased with the quality of work, the professionalism, and above all else -- the new pool we have!! We would not hesitate to recommend Aqua Care to friends and family, and would definitely give them the highest rating possible.

I went with this service provider since there were many great reviews on Angie's List. I was quoted a monthly price, which was suited my needs. The service that was provided was fine, but my first month's bill was not. I understand that there are additional costs to cleaning a pool, but these costs should be mentioned beforehand, especially if it's the first month's bill. I find it very deceptive to give a monthly price and to find out that the bill is over double the price. After speaking to Irit, she seems to think she nothing was wrong and additional costs for cleaning is common knowledge. From all my vendor experiences, I find this very unacceptable and has broken my initial trust for them. If they can deceive me on the first month's charges, what can they do later? I will not be using their services anymore.

They came as promised and did a fine job. They cleaned up afterward and took their time explaining everything. They even gave my husband advice because he does not know what he is doing. He insists on doing everything himself and Aqua Care gave him clear instructions on a number of items. The office staff is good too.

Nothing - they never returned my call.

From the start, it was good. AquaCare was one of four providers from whom I sought a bid to resurface my 50 foot long pool and jacuzzi. They provided a bid within a few days including the additional cost if I changed out the water line tiles and some of the coping stones. Before I had even selected them, they even went to the extent of finding a supplier that could most closely match my existing limestone coping for the four pieces that were slightly cracked (I decided not to do this though; nor did I replace my tiles as they are in very good condition as Irit and Raul also confirmed). In addition, Irit showed me the various alternative Stonescape (a competitor to Pebbletec) surfaces (regular versus mini pebbles and the various color options). I went with the mini pebbles in Tahoe Blue. The process took a week (draining the pool, chipping out the old plaster, plastering, and refilling the pool). I also opted to have AquaCare maintain the pool for the next several weeks. The pools looks terrific. They were neat and tidy when finishing their work for the day. I especially appreciated Irit's eye to detail. She quickly observed the yard and made some comments about the health of trees and design concepts (she is also a landscaper) which I very much appreciated. In regards to price, AquaCare was in the middle. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Were impossible to get on the phone, went weeks without ever calling back, and each time I chased them down they apologized, said they had been too busy, and promised future appointments. They finally came to the house, but then said they lost their notes on the house call, and would need to come back out. They missed appointments, and never followed up with an estimate despite me chasing them up multiple times. I gave up in the end.

April 11 called & made an appointment for April 15. Irit showed up on time. All seemed to go well. She was professional. She told me i would receive an Estimate by the beginning of the following week. 3 weeks later i called (knowing i wouldn't use someone who cant be bothered to get an estimate in on time), but i was curious to know her reason for not following through. She said they had been very busy and promised i would have an estimate in a week. That was 2 weeks ago. Still no estimate.

This company was great! They were working on a HUGE job in Studio City (I'm in Sunland/Shadow Hills Area approx 15 miles away) and all I wanted was my "little" 2 person spa fixed. They came by on their way back from the job site at 7pm at night, assessed what was broken, drained the hot tub, took out the pump (I believe), opened that up to make sure that this was "actually the problem" to be fixed... This was a major issue I had with another company a year ago, they had to come out 3x to fix it and never really got it right! And charged me each time for the incorrect diagnosis.So I was very concerned that the parts that were broken were assessed correctly. I didn't even have to ask to "make sure" he was correct, he opened it up and grabbed his flashlight and showed me what the problem was!!! Then they ordered the part the next day, and when it didn't come in when they had hoped they called/text and I was informed every step of the way of the status! When they got the part, I couldn't be there be at the house so we set up a way for them to come and fix it without my being there! Came home to a fabulous working hot tub.... Great people I would use them again for sure!!! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER

They were OK, but it took her over three weeks to get back to me. She was late to come to my house. She was fine when she was there, but, like I said it took her at least three weeks to get the estimate back to me, and by that time I'd already made a decision on who I was using. Her estimate was kind of high.

I am extreamliy pleased with the final results and look forward to staying in touch for future work as the plants grow.

Aqua Care came out and took my time to give me an estimate but they never called or sent me an email. They wasted my time.
