Fantastic Service with a schedule that was well understood and kept. Pricing was very good compared to other offers. They were very knowledgeable and responsive. They spent a lot of extra time repairing unforseen issues.They were very pleasant and I enjoyed working with them. My pool is in great shape and it was worth every penny.

They said they didn’t like to work with people who cut corners and I do it. Their bid was very high and even the basic plastering was very high. They were very good with responsiveness and I may consider them in the future.

We only obtained one bid for this work as we liked Irit and Raul very much when we met with them. Also, Aqua Care had numerous excellent reviews on the list. They started the work the day we left for a three week trip to Italy and a two week cruise back to the States. It was finished, except for minor things, the day before we returned. We walked out to the back yard and saw this wonderful redo of the patio and pool. Thus, we cannot say how it went since we were not there, except to say that the work was done timely and very well. We presume that the work went well. The only real unexpected problem was the gas line, and we had agreed before we left as to any relatively minor price increases because of such unexpected issues. We have seen pictures from during the construction and are happy that we were not there to see it personally. The pool and patio area were transformed from plain and unexciting to beautiful and inviting.

Service was very professional and completed on time and on budget. These folks gave us a complete proposal with options and provided sound advice along the way. These folks know what they are doing.

I called Aqua Care for an estimate to replace all my pool equipment. A woman named Irit picked up after her answering machine went off and I began to discuss my need for a new heater , pump, filter, etc. She agreed to come out later that day, called me on my cell phone when she was on her way, and after arriving I showed her my pool and equipment area. I reiterated my need for all new pool equipment including a 400K BTU heater so my wife and I can enjoy the pool in the fall months and the evenings when we get back from work. However I found Irit to be overbearing and intent on selling me pool equipment (i.e. a solar heater which would have been inadequate for fall evenings) instead of allowing me to speak and share my needs and ideas. She promised to get back to me later in the week with an estimate when she left. Three weeks passed and no call or contact. I subsequently found another pool company who gave me an estimate for the project (about $7500) and they did a great job. Bottom Line: I would not waste my time with Aqua Care. They are not a professional company and they do not conduct themselves in a business like manner. The home answering machine for their business should have been a dead giveaway. Irit, the person who promised the estimate, not only did not get back to me but also does not seem like the person you would like to collaborate with or handle your 30K pool remodel. Based on the other reviews on Angie's List she does seem great at writing excuses for her lack of business professionalism. If she was not interested in the project a call would have sufficed instead of wasting my time waiting for her response. Is that the sort of rapport you want from a company as you hand them a 15K deposit check? Aqua Care -Doesn't Care. UPDATE TO COMPANY'S RESPONSE: As I mentioned in my original review Aqua Care "cares" most about how they will be perceived on Angie's List and excels at trying to dismiss any negative reviews in an attempt to mislead potential customers with bogus excuses. " We do run behind on our proposals some times." So does that mean three weeks with no phone call or contact? If you have too much work to handle then don't take on new clients and waste my time. No contact is unprofessional. Period. Business Lesson #1: This response should have been an apology. "Sorry for making the right suggestions to the wrong client. (Solar system) Our company do not install solar systems. We still offer it for energy conservation." We are a very green household. I contacted three other pool equipment companies and NONE of them thought a solar system would have been adequte for our needs. Business Lesson #2: Don't attack you clients. Listen to their needs and admit that your initial suggestion could have been wrong. I can just imagine the endless excuses one would get in the middle of a huge pool project. That is why I have taken the time to update this review for other Angies's List members who really need good and accurate information when deciding on a contractor. I have completed over a dozen projects this year alone and have found great service providers here. Aqua Care is not one of them though they are diligent in trying to convince people otherwise.

The main objective of our project was to replaster and retile our elderly pool. From estimate to results, my husband and I were very pleased with the overall experience we had with Aqua Care, co-owned by Irit and Raul. Irit came to our home to look at the pool and discuss our wants and needs. She pointed out some additional items that needed to be done, e.g., splitting the drain in order to comply with current codes. She made other suggestions, but did not push anything unless it was a code or safety issue. She sketched and measured our irregularly shaped pool, using a measuring wheel. She explained all the steps of the process. Within a day, she presented us a detailed, written estimate. (At this point, we were already impressed by Irit?s professionalism. In contrast, we had requested estimates from three other contractors. Two of them did estimates over the phone, asking us for the pool measurements. They said they didn?t need to see the pool in person in order to do an estimate! Another contractor came to see the pool and measured it by ?walking it off.? He didn?t mention any of the code issues.) Once we decided to go ahead with Aqua Care, Irit was able to schedule the work for the following week. Before the work started, she brought us many tile samples from which to choose, which is when my spouse and I discovered we were not exactly ?on the same page.? Irit mediated by having us go through a process of eliminating the tiles either one of us didn?t like. We narrowed it down to two tiles ? the one he preferred, and the one I preferred. Irit patiently waited a few days for us to decide. We did pick one, but then she found us a new tile that she thought would appeal more to both of us. That was the one that ended up being our choice. The work proceeded very smoothly, with Raul directing the crew (he is also hands-on). He had a very efficient 3-day process: Day 1 they chipped out the old plaster, Day 2 they did the tile work, and other work such as the drain splitting and light installation, and Day 3 they did the plastering. At the end of each work day, the crew did a thorough clean-up. Once the pool was filled with water, we also had them do the pool start-up process, which took approximately five days. Because we were so happy with the results (and the process), we decided to use Aqua Care for our weekly service. So far, that has been going very well.

They were prompt, straight-talkers and they kept their word. They were reasonably priced and the finished product is excellent.

The job was fantastic! They were very prompt, professional and thorough. Not only did they meet our expectations, we feel they went above and beyond. We are extremely happy with our new pool. It looks great!

We wanted to heat our swimming pool, so I called Aqua Care to come out and give us an estimate. Irit came to the house and was very helpful in identifying what needed to be done; she knew what she was talking about and suggested a few things like relocating the equipment out of sight, replacing our ancient pool skimmer, and other cosmetic ideas. She said out filter and pool pump, while old, we're working just fine and didn't need to be replaced. She gave us a reasonable quote and timeline of the work that needed to be done. When it came time for the installation, the workers were fast and diligent. They had to dig up about 25 feet of pavers to re-run the pool lines in a deep trench and connect the new heater to our existing gas line. When the work was complete, it was like a new pool area. They replaced the pavers just the way they were and even added new pavers where needed. Everything was underground, logically placed, and squeaky clean. To this day, having Aqua Care install our pool heater has been one of our most rewarding experiences.

I found Aqua Care on Angie's list and based on their positive feedback decided to give them a call. We're interested in having a pool installed in our backyard along with replacing the driveway and some landscaping. Irit came over on 8/22/11. I found her to be very pleasant and knowledgeable throughout the consultation. She listened to my ideas and shared some of her ideas as well. I liked her and got a good vibe. We began discussing fees for a plan (approx. $3000, 1/2 of which would go back into the project should we choose Aqua Care). Fine. Since they don't have a website, my response was for her to email me some photos of her work and previous jobs so that I could make a determination if I wanted to pay the $3,000 and proceed with Aqua Care. A week goes by, no email. Finally a phone call from Irit about 10 days after our consultation asking if I got her email. I responded that I hadn't and asked if she wanted me to verify that she had the correct email address. No, she said she'd just try again. A few more days go by, no email. Get a message on my voicemail asking did I receive her email. So I call and leave her a message that I STILL had not received her email, & repeated my email address for her again. A few days go by, I get another message from Irit stating that she had omitted a number off my email address on the previous email attempts. She will email me now. Still nothing! More days go by, another phone call...did I get the email. This time my husband tells her maybe her files are too big and to try sending the photos individually. Well, no emails again so I guess that didn't work either. The last conversation I had with Irit was a week ago on September 2nd. She said that since she had so much trouble with the emails, she would just pop by and leave the photos in my mailbox at my home. Fine...whatever. At this point I'm no longer interested, but out of courtesy & curiosity, I said I'd be happy to look at them. But wait, here's the kicker...she said she'd be leaving town in a few days and if I could get back to her with my thoughts on it ASAP (like before she goes out of town). So basically, after 2 weeks of going back and forth with the "mystery email", she wanted to rush ME to get back to HER before she went on vacation! Oh, and by the way...it's Sept. 8th and I still have not received ANYTHING from Aqua Care (email OR mailbox). I sincerely hope that improvements in communication with possible clients will improve based on this experience.

The first said they were interested in quoting on our pool project and then gave no good advice or reasonable quotes and were very hard to connect with.

They were very helpful but we ended up not doing the work. They were reasonable, knowledgeable and friendly. They brought samples which was very helpful.

I received a competitive and comparable bid for pool plastering from a company that actually started the job of moving the pool equipment, but I was so impressed with the attention to detail and the hand-holding provided by Irit that I decided to use Aqua Care instead. Irit or Raul were on site during every step of the process and were always available and responsive when I had questions or concerns. They always kept their commitments and the workmanship was excellent. The results have far exceed my expectations. I would recommend this company without reservation and without hesitation. In fact, I have since engaged them to provide my routine pool maintenance.

I was very worried about finding a reputable contractor to re-plaster and re-tile my swimming pool and spa. After failing to find a personal recommendation from family and friends I decided to give Angie’s List a try. This is where I found Aqua Care. They were a local contractor with many positive reviews. From my very first phone call I was impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism. I made an appointment for a consultation and Irit came out to my home and spent two hours with me discussing the different materials available for my project. I was impressed with her knowledge and didn’t feel she was trying to sway me in any direction or up-sell me any products or services I hadn’t counted on. After receiving a detailed estimate I decided to proceed with the project and Aqua Care. The work proceeded on time and on schedule. Raul was present each day making sure that all work was done right and everything progressed smoothly. After getting permits from the city, we found out they had some requirements we hadn’t counted on. One of our gates was opening in the wrong direction and would need to be changed before the inspector could sign-off. No problem, Irit made a phone call and had a fencing contractor come out the next day to make the change. We decided to add a new heater also so Irit sent me a Change Order and Raul took care of the purchase and installation without any delays. Our project easily passed the city’s inspection Our pool and spa are now completed and ready for us to enjoy. They look beautiful and the whole experience was a positive one. I would highly recommend Aqua Care for a worry-free experience.

We moved in to our house in February and were eager to try out the spa. However, the pool/spa heater was not working. Aqua Care was the 2nd company to come out and evaluate our pool heater. The first company told us that the heater cannot be fixed and we needed to replace it - around $2,000. Then Raul from Aqua Care came and told us that our heater is a workhorse of the industry, it just needed a bit of cleaning and maintenance to get it working again. It took him a couple of hours and the heater has been working great since then, and it only cost us $200.

Within one day of my inquiry call, Irit (design) and Raul (pool builder) from Aqua Care met me at my home on May 23 at the scheduled appointment time to discuss the prospective project. I had some ideas how I wanted to renovate an old, tired pool and surrounds adjacent to a natural treed hillside to look and feel like a natural pond. I hadn't found any similar designs in many online pool photo galleries. I also wanted the pool upgraded to incorporate more modern functional amenities, like autofill and drainage. Irit and Raul took my vision and returned in less than a week with a photo and some materials samples that really let me know they got it. They presented a scope of work and proposed budget that was detailed, comprehensive and reasonable. The identified tradeoffs, elements that needed to be done together initially, and things that could be deferred until a later time. It sounded right. My only reservation was whether or not it could be completed by July 1. Irit has a great sense of style and many times went the extra mile to get just the right color, texture and feel. At her suggestion, I did the decks/patios in stained, stamped concrete with custom made concrete boulders. I had real reservations about the boulders, fearing a Disney Thunder Mountain look. Turned out that that was my favorite part of the design. Boulders look realistic in shape, color and positioning. (There was never any resistance or extra charge for my wanting stain colors or rock selection redone when it wasn't just right.) What was originally scoped as more uniform river rock trim became a custom, realistic sculpture with individual selected and embedded rocks. Advice to use a micro pebble tec plaster was well worth the expense. All in all, design was an easy process; multiple options presented, good advice and no pressure. The actual demo and build process was the best I have experienced. Raul was very practical and clearly highly experienced with pools. Work proceeded quickly and efficiently with excellent coordination among stages and contractors/subcontractors. Work site was left in a neat and orderly manner daily - concrete, tile, plastering, electric, etc. Entire job took less than 3 weeks. Post completion punch list items were handled cheerfully and efficiently. Telephone calls were answered immediately and communication was friendly, professional and effective. We did not have one point of contention or miscommunication the entire time. Payment was never stressful; all payments were timed to work completion milestones. There were no requests for payments other than as specified in the contract. Extras (additional lights, new pool lights, larger transformer, additional steps, larger patio) were easily discussed, clear, quoted in advance and reasonably priced. As promised, the project was completed by June 15, well in advance of the July 1 deadline. My new pool and surrounds have been transformed into something amazingly beautiful. Both the process and the outcome were unbeatable. I would definitely use Aqua Care again and recommend them without a single reservation or complaint. The only reason I gave them a "B" for price is because their estimate was not the lowest and the total project cost was not inexpensive; but their work quality was at the highest level, so I'd say it was a good value.

The Crew was extremely professional, also with clean up and hauling away of the construction debris. The work was done in a very efficient manner. I can highly recommend Aqua Care, Iritis very accommodating and helpful, a joy to work with.

They were very good. They called to confirm and were on time with everything. They had all the samples with them and did a good job. I would consider using them again in the future.

I was frustrated with my current pool guy. He was not able to figure out why my filter was not working properly, and months went by and every week, it was another story of what else could be wrong with the pool. My pool was in terrible condition and needed a brand new switch board, among other things like a major cleaning. I went on to Angie's list when I threw in the towel with my old pool guy, and called Aqua Care. They were very fast and responsive, more than fair on the pricing, clear communicators, and did an excellent job! Our house is a high end property, photographed in magazines and used as a filming location and Aqua Care does a high end job. I would recommend to anyone.

They returned my phone call quickly and were easy to get in touch with. We spoke on Saturday evening and they were here on time on Monday morning. The work went quickly and I am very happy with the result. I was only charged for a service visit since, for them, it was not a difficult installation. Personable and professional, capable and clean. I will use them again -- in fact may have them build me a real pool.

We were in escrow on a house with a large old pool with a bad leak. We needed not only someone with the expertise to locate the leak, but also provide a detailed breakdown on how to repair it. Irit and Raul showed up right on time, and did the most systematic, comprehensive and informative assessment we could have hoped for. They spent a good 45 minutes really going over the entire pool; both structurally and mechanically. They gave us cost options and a solid time-frame for the work. Unfortunately, we decided not to buy the house, but we will ABSOLUTELY be doing business with Aqua Care in the near future. We can not recommend them highly enough.

Aquacare came to my house in order to take measurements for the gas line and also to advise me on the type of heater that would be best for my pool. They were able to give me a quote for the job the same day. .I had some doubts about doing the gas line by them thinking it would be better to be done by my plumber but at the end, they did a great job. The gas line was a very big job because it needed to go under the house, to dig a 30 feet trench for parts of it with many curves. That was almost half of the price installation. It took 3 days to install and plug everything together. The heater is running great and I ll be able to use my pool almost all year long from now. It is the second time I have to involve Aquacare in a big project and it was as great experience as the first time. I would recommend Aquacare for anyone needing Pool/SPA work. Thank you again Irit and Raul.

The plaster in my pool was in bad shape, had developed black algae, was losing water and needed to be replastered. I had contacted two contractors in late 2010 who gave me estimates but I put off the project for a few months, partly because I hadn't been that impressed with either of them. I found Aqua Care on Angie's List and received an immediate response from Irit. She came, inspected the pool thoroughly and discussed various options. The following day she brought Raul who discovered the skimmer was cracked causing my water loss. He also found out why my Kreepy Krawly hadn't been working and fixed it. Aqua Care's proposal was much higher than I had initially expected to pay for pool plastering, however Irit and Raul were very professional and pointed out the necessity of the new plumbing and skimmer. The previous contractors had shown very little interest beyond simple plastering. The work was done quickly and professionally and Irit kept me posted on progress virtually daily. I was especially impressed with how Raul managed to redo the plumbing which involved tearing up some of the concrete and brickwork leading to the pool. The skimmer was round instead of square but Raul was able to cut the bricks so they curved around the skimmer. You would never know the work was not original. Upon completion of the pool start-up Raul cleaned the filter, found the backwash valve was leaking and replaced the gasket. Irit and Raul make a great team and are very professional. They take pride in their work and want their clients to be completely satisfied. Except for the fact that they won't be able to perform my weekly pool service because it's out of their service area, I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend them.

A very, very simple fix was also made which allowed for the first time since I was in the house for the "bubbler" to mix air with the spa jets, really providing the agitation of the water. I can't believe two previous servicers missed that, nor could I believe the chemical damage from the improper handling. Many thanks to the good folks at Aquacare for thoroughly professional service and the reassurance that things now are done right. I have contracted with them to maintain the spa and moving ahead with confidence.

Aqua Care is a highly professional company, who did exceptional work at a fair price. They made sure that all work was performed to our satisfaction and have stood 100% behind everything that they have done for us. They are easy to communicate with and informed us of what to expect during each step of the process. Raul, Irit and their staff are a pleasure to work with. In fact we have been so pleased with their professionalism and responsiveness that we got rid of our previous pool cleaning service and have hired Aqua Care to perform our weekly pool service.
