Horrible. The job was not done correctly. They still have to come out and fix what was supposed to be done the first time.

The work that was completed was as stated in the original contract that was signed 3.11.2022. We have been in contact and informed you that the weather has not been permitting to allow us to safely perform work on the tile material roof.

Johnny was EXTREMELY responsive and aware of the time sensitivity. He kept his promises. As of yet, it hasn't rained to verify no more leaking, but he backed his work for 2 years.
Description of Work: I had an emergency tile roof leak that resulted in water damage to an exterior wall and bedroom flooring. Needed them to fix the leak so could move forward in restoration, and it was in the time frame right before Christmas.

This company might very well be the best roofer in town. My review is not about his work as a roofer. No money was exchanged between the two of us. We scheduled an appointment for an estimate. He did not show up, after we blocked out the entire morning for him. No phone call, nothing. So, I called him. He apologized and asked to reschedule, and I obliged for a new appointment a week later. Again, he did not show up. I called and he said he had something come up. It would of been nice if he would of called me and let me know that he could not make it, but he did not. Boned us twice. Again, he might be the best roofer in the universe. But to not show up to TWO appointments, I am glad I did not hire him to repair my roof. Very unreliable, and cost me a lot of time and money by just not showing up.

We just got a new roof. The original roof of wood shake shingles was 35+ years old, and looking very shabby. Every time there was a wind, we’d find shingles or pieces of shingles in our yard. We got estimates and “interviewed” several roofing contractors from Angie’s list. The reps from all the companies were nice and knowledgeable, but John Richey stood out. He was professional, thorough, took us around the house, and explained his estimate. He was the real contractor, not a well-versed salesperson. No pressure. We received bids from $12,000 to $20,000. John’s bid was around the middle, but was very clear and inclusive. All the others gave a base estimate, but had other “if we find dry rot,” or “if we do” whatever, there’d be extra charges, so the final amount was not established. John pointed out the dry rot, and the repair was included in his price. With wood shingles, the entire roof had to be re-sheeted, also included in the price, Most of the gutters had to be replaced, price included. Installation of adequate, up to code vents, new flashing, resetting two skylights, all included. He explained CA Title 24 requirements, and the only “options” we had to choose were compliance through the type of shingle, or adding additional insulation. We chose the insulation, and it was included in the price. They took care of all city paperwork, permits, and inspections. With all that, his bid was still below the midpoint of all we received, and we knew the exact amount of the project when he left the house. The crew that came to do the job was outstanding. Garrett, the supervisor, and the crew showed up on time everyday, worked hard and efficiently, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Deliveries were coordinated so no time was lost. They even removed two old dish antennas and took them away with the rest of the debris. We have a large, two-story house, and the job was completed in four days. When they were done and left, all we found was one wayward nail in the yard. We have a former contractor and city building inspector in the family, and he was impressed. They were a great company to work with and are we very pleased with everything they did.

It didn't, but they will stay on my list.
Description of Work: Trying to get someone to come out and estimate a gutter replacement. Young lady who answered was very courteous and professional and informed me that they sub out the gutter install. They only handle cleaning themselves. She is putting me in contact with the sub.

They did the job remotely as this is our second house in CA and we are in IL now. They kept us up to date and quoted exactly what they charged. Very helpful and even helped with setting up an additional security camera, running the wire across the length of the roof so I didn't have to crawl in the attic. Job came out great per the neighbors and the pictures they sent. Would use them again if we need to.
Description of Work: Tore off old cedar shingles, resheathed, replaced fireplace rotting section, new shingles, added attic insulation, new gutters and lots of help with color choices.
