Once the service person FINALLY came to my residence, he didn't seem to know what he was doing as every question I asked him got an answer that seemed made up as to why my equipment wasn't working. Eventually, I had to call a different pool servicing company to fix my problem. I only go into Leslie's as a last resort and I won't get service from them at all. When I do go, I only go to purchase supplies or replacement parts. They are historically understaffed and take a long time to help each customer. They're very nice and they give each customer individual attention, but I always dread the overly-long wait. Additionally, I purchased some replacement parts and was told they would contact me once they arrived in the store. 3 weeks later, when I still hadn't received a phone call, I asked when my replacement parts would be in. They had been sitting there for a couple of weeks but nobody called me. They are very nice people, but extremely unprofessional and disorganized. Unfortunately, I sometimes find myself HAVING to shop there for supplies. . . . but I absolutely will not have them do any service for me.
Description of Work: I needed my pool equipment serviced and scheduled an appointment with Leslie's. But the local store has to schedule it through their headquarters and, as you would expect, there were endless delays in trying to get the person to come out and service my equipment. This is a really inefficient way to schedule services.

This was a complete waste of money, and my husband and I, who have done business with the retail store for five years, are very angry. He came, looked at the pump and said he couldn't fix it, because there are new requirements for pumps and it was illegal for him to repair it. I would have to buy a new one, to the tune of $1500.00! He didn't open it to see what was wrong. One quick look and that was that, until he asked for $107.00! The next day, I had another place look at it. He opened the pump, quickly saw the part that needed replacement. He had a used one in his truck, installed it in one minute, and refused to take a dime! Our pump works great now. If Leslie's Pools had asked on the phone what kind of pump I had, It would have saved me a lot of money. They know they can't repair old pumps anymore. We feel cheated! I AM UPDATING THIS REVIEW TO SAY THAT WE DECIDED TO CALL LESLIE'S POOLS TO COMPLAIN. THEY WERE WONDERFUL! AFTER EXPLAINING THE SITUATION, THE MANAGER OF THE STORE CALLED THE SERVICE CENTER. THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THE BILLING ERROR AND IS REFUNDING OUR MONEY! THEY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER!!! THE SERVICEMAN WAS NEW, AND THEY WILL TALK TO HIM! I DO RECOMMEND LESLIE'S POOLS. THEY ARE FAIR AND HONEST!!! MY RATING IS NOT FOR THE SERVICEMAN; IT IS FOR LESLIE'S POOLS.
