Currently developing plans to complete a project abandoned by a former nightmare contractor. His positive nature gives reassurance that our project can be completed to a professional level which we have hoped for.

We did extensive research on the types of materials we wanted in the remodel and requested bids from three contractors. Worked with the 3 contractors to insure that all 3 were bidding on the same materials and scope of the project. Once we had that it was much easier to determine the value of each bid and allowed us to negotiate for the services provided. Based on our pre-work we selected Jon Thomas Young to complete the work. We also worked with the granite supplier Artistic Edge to secure our granite color selection and installation. We were able to do the project with 3 slabs which was less material than originally suggested. What we found as the best way to approach the project was to have the material allowances built into the bid but we actually purchased the materials ourselves. We were able to use our contractors discounts for the tile, backsplash and granite. We ordered all the sinks, faucets, and garbage disposal on line and saved a lot of money plus had a larger selection than what was available at our local Home Depot or Lowes.
