Ed's Handyman Service

He was there on time. He did what he was supposed to do. He was just very friendly and very professional. I have no complaints about him.

It went well. They were prompt and very friendly. They explained in detail what they were going to do and even gave some money saving ideas.

Ed gave the quote for 3 must-dos, including paint touch up, painting interior doors, replacing patio sliding door handle, and a few misc small repairs. He requested an up front deposit of $200 when giving the quote on a Sun, and promised the job would be complete by Wed or Thur the following week. The check was cashed out on Tue but nothing happened until a week later when I finally got ahold of him. He said he had family emergencies and I had to wait till the 2nd week after the meeting. I waited. The job dragged for 2 full weeks until I drove up there to meet him for final closure. The paint touch up effect was worse than before. He couldn't repair or replace the broken patio door lock without even telling me before I met him at the end. Yet he asked for more material money on top of demanding full payment of the quote! The reason was material cost was way more than he initially estimated, and he couldn't find the patio door handle but I still needed to pay. It was very frustrating and I was so tired at the end. I paid him in full though he didn't provide full services as he quoted, let alone satisfactory, and I lost precious 3 weeks. This was a very sad and bad experience for me.

I wasn't too happy with him. He came by, looked at cleverly what I had for him and gave me an estimate. When he came back it was totally a different story like you know he said it was worth only for this he is a professional and he should know how much it cost. For every job he has done I have to get another guy to do it. I would not recommend him to anybody.

Ed collected extra pay for the job, saying it was for more work than was agreed upon. We don't have a written contract, but we did have a verbal agreement. He did the work well, the payment and charge was completely off from our original agreement. He took other jobs while he was completing our jobs.

LOVE Ed! I bought a dishwasher from Home Depot, but they wouldn't install it since my old dishwasher was hardwired. I called Ed and he took out my old dishwasher, installed a new electrical outlet, attached the new plug to the new dishwasher, then installed my dishwasher. I am SO pleased with his work. Ed was honest, efficient and professional. He also didn't try to gauge me with fees. I will be calling him back to look at tiling my bathroom and putting in electrical outlets in my garage! He's amazing and you won't be sorry you hired him.

This has been our best experience with an independent contractor to date. He was honest and professional. Ed gave us an estimate and showed up the next day to complete the work as scheduled. The work completed was above and beyond what expected with the quality and craftsmanship. We will definitely continue using Ed's Handyman Service in the future for all of our home repair and improvement projects.

Ed repaired the leaky shower faucet by replacing the Delta single handle shower faucet cartridge. He knows what he is doing and is very honest. I was impressed that he came in and did the job right and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I will be using his services in the future for all my Handyman needs.

He is very straightforward with his costs. He charges by the hour. He will give me a quote for anything that he is not sure about. He was last here for 4 hours. He does all kinds of little things. He was the cheapest and he was very straightforward with his pricing. The sink doesn't leak and we didn't get electrocuted when we used the light switch so the quality of his work was good. He has a website and he responded through email and we had a phone conversation. We set up a schedule and he called before he came and showed up at the time we agreed upon. He also does work for my rental so I already have something else lined up for him.
