Friday evening we noticed no hot water. Taking a look at the water heater I noticed the pilot light would not stay on when I lit it after holding/releasing the red button. After multiple attempts I resign to admitting there must be a problem. I don't really want to fool around with gas so I would rather call a professional. I call DeHart early Saturday morning and leave a message. Their tech returns my call within 30 minutes as promised - so far very good. My understanding from Internet search is the thermocouple is most common cause of this problem. Tech goes right to saying its going to be the controller, couple hundred of dollars for the part, plus since it is a weekend it's going to be $150/hr with a two hour minimum plus parts. So my guess is ~ $600. I ask about the thermocouple and he says we could try that but his experience says it's going to be the controller. In shell shock, I say I'll call back after discussing with the wife. This figure sends me back to the to Internet to see how hard it is to replace the thermocouple. After looking at a couple of youTube videos I figure I can try to do it and call DeHart back if it does not work. Run down to OSH for the thermocouple for about $8, then have it installed in about 15 minutes. Everything seems to be working now. I am not sure how to grade DeHart. They have a good rep on Angie's List, and the weekend rate may be the going rate. Their guy was prompt in returning my call and was courteous and friendly. So the determining factor was what was his motivation for going straight to the controller - something I can't know. Was he trying to pull one over on me, or was he just wanting to prepare me for the worst? If I need plumbing help again I might give them another shot - but I am not certain of this.

Original pump broke down and they put in new one. I asked him to also replace the sink and piping in garage. All was done as requested and works fine.

I sat at my house waiting for over 2 hours (time I was taking off from work). They give you a 2 hour time frame in which the technician will arrive. I called at the end of that two hours and they said he was on his way. He finally showed up 45 minutes later, sat in his truck for a while in front of my house and then got to work. I can say that the job he did was good, water heater works great. The pipes they used to connect the gas line to the unit were old and rusty. Doesn't really affect the function, but they charged me as if they were new. I agreed to pay them hourly since they were the only company who called me back about the installation. They charge $85/hour. I researched how much it should cost to install the water heater online and in the end they were about $200 over the top of that range. I called them a week later to ask for a detailed bill of services and it turns out they charged me for 7 hours when the tech was only there for about 5. It turns out that I was on the clock when the tech was dispatched to my house, he sat in his truck for about 20 minutes and then when he was finished it took him about 40 minutes to write up my bill, then continued to sit in front of my house for another 20 minutes. All of this sitting around and wasting time I was paying $85 and hour for. Be careful about the hourly pay with this company, it's where they'll get you. Always get an estimate first.

They are professional, they are prompt and they have very nice friendly technicians who come and do they work, and who they offer required information. I have just had a pleasant experience whenever they have come out.

They cleaned it out and it is working. They installed a cleanout. They ran a camera down and showed me what the problem was. They seem to do good work all the time. The person who pretty much comes out every time is Nick. He is the one who services our account so to speak. It is nice to deal with someone who we know. He is always pretty timely. They are a little on the pricey side.

They did a real good job and we had a good experience with them. They are solid. They called pretty much right away and gave us a reduced price, and did a really good job. They split up the cost into payments. They were really reasonable and we were happy with the fact that they split it up into payments, which made it feasible for us; otherwise we weren't going to do it. They were friendly. They had their booties on when they came into the house. They were real clean and wiped down everything. They cleaned the ducts with an agitator and didn't just vacuum clean. We couldn't have got any better luck.

Management came out see and understand the problems that I was exposed to after a new company detected them and was in the process of correcting them.

They did good work but the price seemed quite high.

Mom noticed the problem and lived with it for awhile, but she began worrying about the waste of water. She called on a Monday and they sent someone to fix it on Tuesday.

We have always been real pleased with them. We always call them.

They have not done any projects for me yet. In terms of an estimate, they were very punctual and professional.
