CRYSTAL CLEAR QUALITY HOME IMPROVEMENT

Crystal Clear Quality Home Improvement of Modesto recently installed a patio covering over the back deck. It included an outdoor ceiling fan. We are very pleased with the completed project. It was installed professionally, looks beautiful, and I personally feel as though it has made that outside deck area appear larger. The owner and his assistant worked continuously from the moment they arrived to completion. When the initial proposal was made, the owner's daughter, who was writing up the contract, made very helpful suggestions as to what would look the best, what kind of fan I should purchase, etc. I would highly recommend this company to others.

The owner and estimator does not like to keep set appts. and shows up when it is convenient for him not for the buyer. The windows that were shown to me before the install looked good, however what they installed are very poorly constructed and look like factory seconds. Most of all the screens were also damaged. When we contacted the owner after I inspected everything he showed up at an earlier time than we had agreed upon, so I was not home and not able to do a complete "walk- around" inspection with him and was only able to describe my issues over the phone. The owner's response to us is that we need to call the warranty people and work all the issues out with them. I have called repeatedly to let him (Crystal Clear) know that I want to deal with him, not a third party. He has not returned any of my calls. I contracted with Crystal Clear, and I paid Crystal Clear - I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH A THIRD PARTY. They also won't honor any of their own coupons once you have placed an order with them. Make sure you do a thorough inspection before you pay them - they go straight to the bank and cash your check, so you have no recourse. I am stuck with really crappy looking windows that I paid $2500. for. When they removed my bathroom window they damaged/pulled out several tiles and without giving us the opportunity to correctly repair them, the installer hammered them back into place and use a ton of caulking to attempt to hide it. The tiles look horrible they are not flush with the other tiles. The installer also dropped a screw into my garbage disposal and either was unaware of it or just didn't care to take the time to remove it. Needless to say, my disposal needed repair after grinding a screw in it.

We got several quotes to replace our windows, and Crystal Clear's presentation was by far the best--Jerry really knows his product and answered all our questions seriously and knowledgeably. The quote wasn't the cheapest we received, but we felt confident the quality would be good. The installation had a couple of hiccups--the factory had sent a couple of windows in the wrong size, which had to be sent back, and installing the replacement garden window was more challenging than they had expected. However, they handled it all very professionally, and we are extremely satisfied with the quality of their work.
