Description of Work: Mr. Brock, a very nice man, tried his best to build from raw materials a vertical murphy bed. I took the material to him in August 2014 and said I needed by November 2014. It was completed in December 2014. Unfortunately, the bed is not furniture quality. There are several thing that need to be redone. Finished stain is not even with lots of runs which will require removal and re-stain. The bed mechanism requires precise placement. The bed front sags when closed. The bed will need to be dismantled and corrected. Several areas of the bed edging was not trimmed out as required with the tape. This will need to be redone along with replacing one piece of board that is the wrong size. Original price was $600.00. I called Mr. Brock and we renegotiate the price to $250.00. I have $1000.00 in material and the cost of $250.00 labor to make this bed. Still a much better price than buying it assembled. |I would use Mr. Brock again but would make sure to evaluate the scope of his experience and then decide on if he can do the job. Very nice man.

Description of Work: We had used this provider in the past - always good work and at good price, was very pleased with him. The last time we used him he did have some family problems and his helper was having to work more hours at his other job - furniture store that was closing. My only complaint was there was very little communication for several months between Brock and myself.
