Description of Work: Adrian was one of three contractors from Angies list to come out to measure our house and give an estimate on a kitchen remodel and bathroom addition. He was one of the two contractors that never bothered to give me a quote or call us back (seven weeks ago). I called and left a message and sent an email, but still no response. guess the job was to small/ big?

 + 0 moreAside from the random rain showers that were hitting us around that time, everything went smoothly. We were able to fix a misunderstanding fairly easily in regards to where our exterior light sockets were to be located. However a quick phone call cleared up the miscommunication. They stucco'd the addition in an afternoon and patched up all the holes on the older portion of the house on the following day.
Description of Work: Adrian Construction came out and gave us an estimate. They repaired some wood work along our sloped roof. They stucco'd an addition to our house. They patched up a large quantity of holes on the older stucco to match.

 + 4 moreHe began the project with demolition and started with the lower level. He gave us a quote and found a few things like the stairs inside the home needing to be brought up to code. He fixed the stairs and they look great! He removed old carpet and tile flooring in the process. He had also painted the complete exterior which I will write a separate review for. He always keeps us updated and we fully trust him in our home away from home. He is prompt, keeps his appointments and very enjoyable to work with him. We will continue to have him work our our rental homes, our home and our home away from home. You will not be disappointed.
Description of Work: Our second home needed a new sliding glass door and four windows that he installed. The stairs inside the home needed to be brought up to code and he rebuilt them. He fixed nail holes in various walls and retextured the walls before painting them and putting in new baseboards. He installed laminate flooring in two bedrooms, the family room and living room. He is a very busy contractor but still managed to keep the job going and make our home more beautiful. He moved all the furniture, wall hangings etc. We have been very happy with his services.

 + 3 moreDonovan was very creative in the remodel of both the bathrooms. He was always on time and worked so nicely with us by helping us pick out all the fixtures and had such creative ideas. We love the stainless sink that sits on the vanity. This house is all cinder lock walls interior and exterior walls. The shower is also cinder lock and he figured out how to install tile over the cinder block on the entire shower and half way up the walls in the bathroom. He painted the kitchen walls and installed tile in the kitchen. Helped us pick out the tile and colors to compliment each other. He also painted the walls in the living room and painted the existing wood cabinets to compliment the room. He put laminate flooring in the living room. He is so easy to work with, kept us informed. Was honest and always called to let us know about things that he was working on. He is professional and seems to truly take pride in a job well done. I would highly recommend him for any job I need done.
Description of Work: He painted cinder block interior walls of one of our rental homes. He installed tile in the kitchen..he installed laminate flooring in the living room. He tiled a shower and put a lovely rock floor in the shower. Designed the tile on the cinder block walls half way up the walls. Installed a vanity and cool sink on the vanity. It is absolutely stunning. More beautiful than I would have imagined. He also remodeled the other bathroom very creatively.

He did quality work and performed it well. He helped us choose our cabinets, flooring, counter tops and vanity. He stayed very close to his quote and talked through any changes that may have occurred. He took out a wall to make it one large great room.
Description of Work: Did a complete remodel of one of our rental homes. Completely gutted the home and retextured all walls, painted interior walls, all new flooring, new kitchen cabinets and installed new appliances. New light fixtures, counter tops, new vanity, tub, and tile in bathroom. Did a fabulous job. It is beautiful. He always kept in contact and tried to save us money when he could.

 + 7 moreThis project was a complete do-over of a handicapped shower that had been originally established in 1990 and had suffered repeated damage through the years due to disabled son's lack of mobility and balance. It also entailed repairing damaged walls and floor. My son Rick picked out the tile for both areas and Donovan consulted both of us on every decision that was made with a sensitivity to limitations in the process. Could not have picked a better contractor for our project and highly recommend and commend him as a true professional.
Description of Work: Removed old ceramic tile shower and re-tiled .Installed new shower pan--built in corner shelves and replaced safety grab bars. Removed sub flooring that had been damaged-replaced with new sub-flooring. removed toilet and replaced old linoleum with new ceramic tile-replaced and resealed toilet. Patched walls where they had been damaged and repainted all surfaces. Re-built damaged walls and tiled area to prevent future damage. Re-grouted existing tile counter top. Installed a new interior door with safety stop. Installed new ceiling vent motor and fan. Had large mirror repaired and sealed to prevent future damage-rehung mirror.

 + 1 moreAdrian Construction sent a worker to do the above electrical and handyman jobs who was extremely skilled, efficient and personable. He completed the work in about 3 and 1/2 hours, including a trip to Lowe's for the closet fixture, which exactly matched the broken one. I have used this company before, and their workers are masters of all trades, including Donovan Adrian himself, the owner. I can usually schedule an appointment with him for the following week, although Donovan can be quite busy on major remodeling jobs. Given the the cost these days in California of being licensed, bonded, insured, and carrying workers comp, I'm satisfied with the cost. Also, if I were to have called a licensed electrician to do the lights, I think the price would have been a lot more, since electricians are liable for fires if their work is not done properly. All in all, I recommend Adrian Construction for handyman jobs up to larger projects we have done, including plumbing and replacement of outdoor patio tiles.
Description of Work: Replaced old front porch light with new one I supplied; replaced 4-foot broken fluorescent fixture in bedroom closet; adjusted fire door between kitchen and garage that was becoming hard to close, putting in longer screws to align door properly and adjusting self-closing hinge; cleared clogged sink drain in bathroom; regrouted some counter tiles in master bath and second bathroom.

 + 17 moreWe were amazed at how quickly everything was done. Donovan completed the demo in one day & had the front of the house including the siding done in the first week. I don't know that I have ever heard of construction going as smoothly as ours did. What Donovan had planned on 8-10 weeks took a little over 6 weeks. My favorite part was Donovan coming in every day or two to go over the project & what he planned for the next day to the next week. It kept us informed & able to plan our lives around this construction. We did have one hiccup that I caused when I ordered a sink that didn't fit. Donovan had some ideas to make it work but in the end we decided we would just replace the sink with another one that fit better. It looks great & did not cause us any delays. We are so pleased with the quality of work that we have decided to use Adrian Construction again to redo our laundry room.
Description of Work: We had a small galley style kitchen with a breakfast area & pantry. Adrian Construction moved the kitchen from one side of the area to the breakfast area adding a breakfast bar, removing 3 window & replacing them with one larger window. We also closed the 2 pocket doors that led from the entrance into the kitchen and from the kitchen into the dining room. Adrian Construction also moved the front of our house out 3-4 feet to make the kitchen larger. He installed granite counter tops, Shaker style cabinets including 2 corner cabinets that have Lazy Susan's in them. Our kitchen more than doubled in counter space, cabinet space & floor space. He also added 6 can lights in the kitchen area, 8 can lights in the dining area that originally was the kitchen & family room. We had him install a fan & another tube skylight in the new dining area. The back splash is a mosaic tile that Donovan Adrian helped us decide on. We have new laminate flooring that complements the hardwood floors in the rest of the house. When we first discussed closing the pocket doors I had suggested an arch from our living room into the new kitchen/dining area. After looking at the opening during construction, Donovan's carpenter suggested leaving the opening as a square rather than arched since we had no other arches. It looks wonderful & keeps both living areas together with still being separate. We also had "old world" texturing done in the kitchen/dining room it gives a richness to those rooms.

There were a few areas where the deck paint wasn't thick enough, but they checked their work the following day and did the appropriate touch-up without being asked. I absolutely will use them for any work I need done in the future. Totally professional in all respects

 + 6 moreHis attention to detail is horrible. I had a gap between my new bathtub and new drywall. New light fixture he installed was not hung correctly. My new pocket door had a chunk in it where the cut to install the hardware. Also the new frame for the pocket door had chunks missing out of it as well. Subbed out the electrical without my authorization. Over all it was a terrible experience and I will never use this company again.
Description of Work: Had one bathroom split into one and a half. Remove tile, drywall, framing and electrical.

 + 2 moreWhen I called Adrian Construction, I spoke with Donovan, the owner, who met me at the property , on time, assessed the repairs and provided a written quote as promised. He and his crew arrived when they were supposed to and worked diligently to complete the repairs which took a couple of days. Donovan and his crews were professional, accommodating and great to work with. Donovan himself was responsive and communicative regarding the status of repairs, next steps, materials, and the minor change requests I had during the cycle. Very easy and comfortable to work with, nice job on the repairs from rough to finish.
Description of Work: I contracted Adrian Construction to perform some remedial repairs to one of my rental properties. The repairs included removal and replacement of an exterior door, removal and replacement of approximately 32' of baseboard and some drywall.

All work was completed with no mess! He conducted all his work with professionalism and good communication. His attention to detail is top notch. I've have used him on other properties for tile work, Sheetrock repair, and fencing. All turned out great with no hassles.We look forward to him coming back to replace our windows!
