Using phrases such as "above and beyond" and "going the extra mile" to describe Steve's level of service I think sells him short. We had Steve recommended to us by a friend and colleague, and having been gone from the OC area for 10+ years, we needed some pretty heavy-handed guidance on the entire transaction, as we were doing a concurrent close with our previous property and we needed everything to be managed just-so. We also needed to find a house quickly, and Steve ended up orchestrating everything with the seller and the lender in a fast-paced 21-day escrow. He took us out to look at homes over 4 separate occasions, accommodating our schedules and always coming prepared and organized to a day of house-hunting. He's professional, has a great sense of humor and is whip-smart about OC and all its great enclaves, offerings and quirks. He knows all the neighborhoods and has a great means for keeping track of the things we liked and disliked along the way so that we could more easily hone in on the good stuff as we went along. He often stayed up late the nights before going out to make sure he'd locked down the next day's itinerary and was always punctual, friendly and on top of the details. Throughout the transaction, Steve stayed positive where it was possible for us to have started freaking out with the tight turn-around, and he was also extremely responsive -- sometimes calling or texting me back 4x or 5x per day -- and carefully guided (and sometimes pushed, as-necessary) us through everything from the inspection process to the funding of the loan. As opposed to our previous experience with a real estate agent, we felt truly represented by Steve, and that he was ever compromising our interest in the transaction. We knew wholeheartedly that he had our best interest in mind, always. This seems like it should be the standard, but after having had a bad experience in the past, we were very happy having Steve squarely on our team. He also offered us great connections, including a referral on a lender, home inspector and a pool inspector, which all turned out really well -- we'd use them all again given the opportunity. We'd use Steve again in a heartbeat and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone searching in the OC area for a new home or in selling their current property.
