I set the appointment and he came as he stated and took one look and said he could not perform the work because it was outdoors.

The technician was a little late for the appointment but he did a great job. He was very polite, friendly and got the job done within about an hour.

I bought this deal because i thought it was a fair price. I contacted the business several times before a date and time were set. The chimney sweep (I forget his name) called to tell me his arrival time. When he arrived, he looked over the job and told me that I have 2 flues, and the coupon was for only 1 flue, so I would need to pay another $65. This caught me off-guard, so I told him to go ahead. As I thought about it, I decided that this seemed unfair and I would ask for a reduced rate. The man was finished in about 15 minutes, and when I asked about reducing the rate since he was already here, etc., he said he could not do this. I went ahead and wrote a check for $65, but the more I thought about this, the angrier I got. To top it off, when I went in the living room to check the work, all the furniture had been moved and not put back. I really feel that this was a bad experience, and the reason I joined Angie's List was to keep from having things like this happen. I really feel Sky Blue should issue me some sort of refund.

This is one of the worst contractor experiences I have had. These guys were a no show TWICE. On both occasions I waited for them for a few hours, tried calling them. On second occasion, the person who picks up the phone "Alex" told me that he tried texting his tech but did not know what happened. He did not even bother apologizing, forget about trying to fix matters. They dont value your time and I would never try working with them.

The vent cover was repaired we parts that seemed to work, but not the exact ones meant for the vent. The vent cleaning was perfect.

Appointment set for 0800 to 1200 on 10/22. Call was to be made on same day to confirm. No call from vendor by 0815, so I called and talked to Alex who said someone would be back to me shortly with an arrival time. No call was received by 1245 so we left to run some errands. Their tech called about 1300 and left message that he was on his way, but we were gone by that time. Alex called about 1315 and left message that tech was at door. We received the message when we returned about 1415.

He was very efficient cleaning and inspecting the chimney. We just wanted the flute fixed but he didn't have the parts. He did let us know where we can get the parts at. He informed us what to watch for since our chimney is getting older and has had a lot of fires. Was in and out within 25 minutes.

He was good. He came on time, and did a good job cleaning the air ducts. He also cleaned out my fireplace.

Did very well. Was prepared, came in surveyed the fireplace, understood the size and inspected the flute. We out to get the required tools (including an extra battery). Laid out dropcloth to protect the surrounding, laid out his tools in a good work flow fashion. Obvious he's done this before rather than dropping his tools and wasting time looking for things. We just bought the house so had no idea what was up in the chimney. He went through the flute a few of times until no more soot was falling, then proceed to clean-up. Left the area in really good condition.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and they were great, I have no complaints. They did what I wanted them to do, they were quick, efficient, and they left everything the way it was before they started the work.

Alex showed up on time and got right to work. Got it done quickly! Alex found a bird's nest and a LARGE backup of dust and debris. Kept working at it until the vent was completely clear. This is going to save us much more in energy than what we paid. Extremely happy with the work and will definitely call Alex and Sky Blue back!

The Service Provider missed appointments and later denied cleaning service saying he can do if I will do additional tile polishing which will cost me 600 dollars extra.

Quick and simple. Had an extra fee but was worth it for the peace of mind. Went well, but were 7 hours past the time window. However, he did call to notify me.

I paid $69.00 for the dryer and $65.00 for the chimney. Alex did a great job, explaining what he was doing and why, explained results of inspection. Cleaned up after job was done and took care not to scratch wood floors while working. Thanks Alex.

Our fireplace needed inspected more than it needed to be cleaned. It is a gas fireplace which we rarely use, but at times we burn those "manufactured" logs without turning the gas on. I noticed the inside of the fireplace walls appeared to have white water marks and the gas pipe, as well as the rack were rusty. Alex arrived within the 2 hour timeframe given. He even called ahead to let me know he would be arriving in 20 minutes. He actually arrived in 10. He inspected the fireplace and chimney and cleaned inside the fireplace. He advised that he saw no cracks in the fireplace, when I asked him if it needed to be sealed on the outside. He said moisture could have been coming from the logs and that we should feel safe using the gas instead of putting logs in there. It will burn cleaner too. He advised me to call our plumber to have the rusty section of the gas pipe replaced. He was knowledgeable in his field and friendly and courteous too. He was also careful not to get soot everywhere. I would use his service again and would also recommend to a friend or neighbor.

They were very prompt, courteous and professional. The head of the team explained to me all mechanisms to complete the repair. There was a little issue, the plug was damaged. However they were able to clean up around the area. As long as they were able to communicate with me it was perfect. Their communication was clear and precise. Their price was very reasonable.
