In the end we did not use Aussie Landscape however, I was so impressed with Barry I felt it necessary to write a review. Barry is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When I had him come by to do an estimate he was on time, very knowledgeable about what our landscape issues were, and offered valuable suggestions on how to do the project. His honesty about our particular landscape problem was very much appreciated. I would recommend Barry to anyone who wants a no nonsense, easy going and professional person to do the job.

Excellent - this is the 4th time I have used Barry. He is hardworking, honest, punctual, does great work. I could go on and on. He goes above and beyond. I am so glad I found him on Angies list.

Barry did a great job. He very attentive and makes suggestions that are helpful. He is punctual and and does what he says he is going to do.

Barry was a pleasure to work with. He was able to meet with me on very short notice for a review of the work I needed done and provided a very reasonable estimate. On the agreed upon date for the work to be done, Barry arrived on time and proceeded to perform the requested services by himself in less than a day. The quality of his work was excellent. He also spent some time with me answering questions I had on planting options for the side yard. I would not hesitate to use Aussie Landscape again.

This is the kind of professional you want working at your home. It made me believe in Angie's list which I had never used before. He took his time, made the right assessment and completed the work as requested at a fair price. Couldn't ask for anything more.

He was punctual, and I very much enjoyed working with him. He was very professional and knew exactly what was needed. I will call him again when I have any need for sprinkler repair. He was very flexible and accommodating of my schedule. I thought he was very fair in his price; he spent a lot of time working to be sure the system was working correctly.

We recommend Barry Steele of Aussie Landscape highly! He responded to our first phone call, set a date and was promptly there when he said he would be. He estimated a week for completion but, was finished a day early. He does impeccable work and conscientious to every detail. He is an extremely hard worker: dug the footings himself, poured the concrete, set the posts, etc. by himself. He left our yard completely clean and zero damage to existing plants and surrounding area. Our new fence looks fabulous! Thanks Barry!

Barry was professional as always. He was punctual and went about his work without bothering me. He removed all debris and cleaned up after himself. Gave me a crash course in taking care of the plants to keep them healthy. I will definitely have him back should I need additional landscaping or wood working at my home.

Never heard from provider so we never even considered him.

It went great. Barry arrived on time and worked very hard for the entire time he was here. He did not mind that some of the projects were rather menial and was happy to perform whatever tasks I requested. My larger plants in containers finally found their homes in the ground. I was pleased with him.

August of 2012 I contacted Barry Steele and he came out immediately and gave me an estimate for the work I wanted done. He is very knowledgeable and willing to share ideas and has an excellent understanding and feeling for the spaces and people he is working with. Oh, and he is also punctual, tidy and a complete gentleman. I had the usual gardening service over the last 25 years who basically mowed, edged and fertilized on occasion. Luckily the majority of my yard was populated with succulents which did not need much attention and occasionally I would break off the really overgrown ones and let them start over. My fences which were put up in 1973 when the house was built were being held up by the overgrown ivy from my neighbors backyard below me and three extension chords that were wrapped around poles on the side fence which had been blown down several years ago in a wind storm and tied up by my neighbor. The drain in my back yard was completely filled with dirt so had been removed several years ago. At the same time a portion of the backyard sprinkler system was also removed as it was leaking. Neither of these were ever replaced so in a heavy rain the water would cover about half of my patio. oh, yes, my lawn slopes down from the property line towards the back of the house. Barry took care of all of these problems and more. He removed the old fences and installed new ones; hauled away 16 railroad ties and replaced them with a 2 layer block wall around the perimeter of the back and side yard; installed new sprinklers connecting to the existing system; installed drains from back downspout across back of the house, down the side under the front lawn and a curb core under the sidewalk so water could drain to the street; removed a concrete slab and electrical from old above-ground jacuzzi tub; replaced and relocated old sprinkler heads in front yard and installed new drip system in flower bed in front of house; removed all plants from planter along back fence (been there since 1973) as well as removed stumps from two palm trees that were cut down in 2007 (approx 3 feet in diameter each). Several months later Barry came back and installed 4 new sprinkler vales and new shut-off valve. This month he returned to put in a small planter off my patio in a shaded area that will not grow grass. He picked out the plants that would be hardy and not require a lot of attention(or bother my allergies) and put a walkway through the planter so I could easily water the plants. He sodded two areas in the yard that were devoid of grass. Barry has given me instructions and directions on the care and maintenance of my yard and I hope to do him proud and maintain it as best I can . I thoroughly enjoy working with Barry and cannot wait until we collaborate on the plants to go along the back fence so I can see what ideas he has. I also have a new gardener.

Barry is wonderful. My sprinkler system wasn't working. Apparently I had a broken valve. The system is over 10 years old and has seen better days. My landscape lighting hasn't worked in years--quite a mess. I had a rat chew through one of the wires in the garage. I got a couple of estimates and I decided to go with Barry because he was honest and advised me on doing what was necessary and made sense. Barry was on time and did a fantastic job. He also gave me advise on how to water my landscape properly. I was so happy with his work that I had him come back in December to install my new lighting. Everything works beautifully. I will be having Barry come back to do the softscape in my front and backyard. Barry is so super nice and kind! You can tell he loves what he does and he cares. He is someone who takes great pride in his work and does what is in your best interest. thank you Angie's List for helping me find Barry.

They are very professional. They are good company. I would highly recommend them. They are pretty good. They were on time.

Aussie Landscape arrived on time both for the estimate and scheduled time for the service. He trimmed both fruit trees as requested in a timely fashion. He did an excellent job. Both trees were in dire need of professional trimming to get the trees back from a sprawling mess. After his trimming both trees looked beautiful.

The owner showed up on time and began trimming right away. He and his partner were very meticulous and careful not to let any tree limbs or branches fall into neighbors yard. They were friendly, courteous, and made sure the bushes came out at the same height. When they were finished, the owner showed me how he cleared around the drains in the yard, and how to flush out the dirt that had accumulated inside of them. He was also very helpful in recommending how much to water the front and back yard.

We had about 6 trees pruned on our property, we handled arrangements from San Diego and our home is in Lake Forest, CA. Barry contacted us promptly after we left a message and after playing phone tag for a few days, he did a drive by the house, we discuss pricing and confirmed the date. His pricing was competitive and on the scheduled day he pruned the trees, when he was finished, we arrived on site and he was amiable to our requests for some minor additional cuts. We were very happy with his service, him personally and when in the future we will call upon him again. We would recommend him highly for both the quality of the service he provides and his competitive pricing.

Barry at Aussie Landscaping was extremely friendly, punctual, fast-working, and considerate. He is very easy to communicate with and has great opinions on various issues regarding landscaping. His estimate was one of the lower ones, though I would have easily paid a little more for his services. He is very educated about landscaping and plants, and his work is phenomenal. Thanks Barry! I will hire you again!
