The initial date they came out was 5/17/2013. The technician repaired the hot water valve as he was supposed to do. However, he insisted there was a drip coming from the cold water valve as well but told me he needed to order a part. I never heard from them or my home warranty company and since there was no drip coming from the master shower I just let it go. 6 weeks later, end of June, 2013, I receive a phone call from my home warranty company stating that A Plus Plumbing had the part in and would be calling me to schedule an appt. I asked my home warranty what the part was for and let them know there was no leak or water dripping from the shower anymore. Nevertheless, they said A Plus Plumbing told them they needed to replace the part so they had to go by what the technician said. On July 1,2013 the technician came to repair the cold water valve. Upon taking apart the cold water valve, he informed me that the part did not fit so he would have to come back. I asked when he would be back and he told me the next day or 2 days at the most. He said it was a part he could purchase at Home Depot. After he left, I noticed that now I had a major leak coming from my shower. The water was continuously dripping, almost running. I called A Plus Plumbing in the morning to complain about it and have them schedule the technician to come back out ASAP. The lady (Gina) on the phone dismissed it saying not to worry, Larry was one of their best technicians and he would take care of it. On July 3rd, the technician came out again and I greeted him at the door telling him he had caused a leak now and was glad he was there to fix it. Within 5 minutes of working on the cold water valve, he told me once again the part did not fit, he was having a hard time taking something apart and he would have to go to his car and call his boss to see what the next step would be and would come right back to tell me what they were going to do next. I waited a few minutes and looked through the window to see the technician DRIVING OFF... like a thief would do. I went upstairs to the master shower and noticed that the drip was still there.. actually water running. I called the home warranty to complain about the technician driving off. The called A Plus Plumbing and Ralph told them that they needed access to the back of the master shower as it was impossible to repair the drip as the the fixtures, stems were so corroded. They did not call to apologize to me or anything for driving off without saying anything. (Remember, I started out with no drip on the cold water valve and didn't have a leak until the technician came out on July 1st . The Home Warranty company sent out another company to repair the master shower and see what the problem was. As it turned out, the technician from A Plus Plumbing used a very small washer... didn't fit the ones our shower needed and used a smaller screw to put it together. Since both the washer and screw were not the proper small... way too small, it caused the shower to drip through the faucet but NOT ONLY THAT it caused the water to leak behind the walls which ultimately caused damage to the family room ceiling. The 2nd plumbing company encountered absolutely no struggle to repair the drip and said didn't know why A Plus Plumbing was claiming that they needed to open up the wall from behind the shower in order to fix it (as Ralph called in to the home warranty company). The problem was fixed within 15 minutes. I have secondary damages to my house to the tune of $1,660 just to start (have not opened up the walls yet) now since they were too lazy to use the correct size washer and screw. Had the Home warranty company not send out for a second opinion ~ A Plus plumbing would have open up my walls through the closet (that is what Ralph said they had to do) in order to make the repair they manufactured. Thank goodness I have proof in a full report from leak detection company hired by AAA, done a week before calling Fidelity Home warranty to repair the hot water valve and A Plus Plumbing coming in. I had no drips/leaks in the cold water valve. NOT ONLY DO they admit to the the mistake to my Home Warranty, Ralph does not want to use his insurance company to repair the water damage in the ceiling, buckle in a wall and a crack that the water made in the ceiling. He told the Home warranty he doesn't want to pay the deductible so he wants to assess the damage by coming and then he will hire out to make the necessary repairs. ARe you kidding me? Why would I let a company who didn't want to pay the extra .20 cents to purchase a washer that fits and instead put a tiny little washer that allowed the water to go leak behind the walls. And he thinks I should trust his judgement. The company has made not attempt to send out their insurance company. We are not having to file a claim through our insurance company and AAA will in turn retrieve the $$ they spend for the repairs and our deductible by contacting their insurance company directly. They informed us they just found out their insurance company. Crazy!! NOT PROFESSIONAL, DO NOT HAVE ANY ACCOUNTABILITY OR REMORSE FOR THE DAMAGE THEY HAVE CREATED. Home warranty company said all he wanted to do was repair the stain by touching up the drywall and paint. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Description of Work: Home owner's insurance sent out a leak detection company to rule out any leaks in the house and outside the house after one of the pool equipment pipe had a leak in it. Upon completion, the leak detection company submitted a report stating that there were no leaks in the house ~ except a drip in the hot water valve in the master shower. They informed us we needed a new washer as the it wouldn't shut off. I called the HOME WARRANTY COMPANY who sent out A Plus Plumbing to repair the problem. Caused secondary damages... so far the estimate for the damages is $1,660 and possibly more after they open up the walls to check if water is still in the walls.

Well, the repair lasted about 10 weeks, and then the handle and cartridge again were broken, such that the handle now spun all the way around. Made a call back to the home warranty company and they said I?d have to pay another service fee to have A-Plus Plumbing come out again. I didn?t feel I should be subjected to another service fee to fix the same problem! As it was their poor workmanship, I called direct to A-Plus to ask them to repair the handle again. After several phone calls and discussions with a Jeanne, Jennifer and Angie, they decided it wasn?t their problem, unless I wanted to pay another service fee. I clearly explained that it was never properly repaired the first time, due to their poor workmanship. Their response was it lasted for almost 90 days, so it was not their fault!!! Ughhh.... no A?s for customer service from A-Plus Plumbing?. unless you only need your repair to last for 90 days?....
Description of Work: About 3 months ago, the bath knob that controls the bath/shower water flow had become loose and could not be tightened to the internal cartridge valve. A call to our home warranty company resulted in a quick referral and response from A-Plus Plumbing. The plumber was able to arrive the next business day and look at the problem. He informed us the cartridge needed to be replaced, which he did in about 15 minutes. He then tried to reattach the original handle but could not achieve a tight fit. After a few minutes he managed to get a marginal fit of the handle which still wobbled as you turned it left or right. When I questioned the plumber on this loose fit, he said it was just loose from wear, but it would be fine.

I was directed to A-Plus through our home warranty company. After making our original claim, A-Plus called the next day to schedule an appointment. I thought things were going great. My aunt was at my house when Patrick the plumber was there. Patrick was supposed to call me so I could hear what the suggested repairs were directly. He never did. Now is has been two weeks of me trying to reach him. I have called A-Plus more than 5 times. Most of the time no one answers. When I did get an answer, I was directed to email Patrick at irishbastard2004@*****.com. I should have known by the email address that this was not a professional operation. I also was given Miles number, his supervisor. Miles has also not called me back. We are suggesting a different plumber from First American, out warranty company.
Description of Work: Had a leak from our second floor bathtub going through ceiling below.

He is very professional. He has never tried to sell us anything we didn't need. We had two faucets that could barely turn. He repaired the faucets instead of having the owner replace the faucets and he only charged for the service charge. I have recommended them to lots of people. He is not going to cheat you. He is really honest and he does really good work. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I have used A-Plus Plumbing & Rooter for about 25 years. Ralph Dohle is my plumber. I used them about a week ago to fix the faucet in the master bathroom.

Set appointment with Gina on 5/5/2012 for 5/8/2012 between 10am and 2pm. I arranged to have someone available to open up the property. Service person arrived at the property and left a card. I phoned A Plus Plumbing, spoke to Gina, asked why no phone call was placed, she said a phone call was placed, I informed her that it was not. She then said it wasn't requested. At this point she put me on speaker phone. We started to schedule another appointment, I told her that I was twenty minutes away and couldn't make the time she suggested. We scheduled for the next Monday between 9am-1pm. She asked me if I wanted a phone call twenty minutes before, I said "No", I would like a phone call when they arrive. At that point, the phone call went silent, I could hear her pick up again and say something, couldn't make out what it was, phone call was disconnected. I called back repeatedly to confirm the time set, no one picked up the phone. A Plus Plumbing was assigned be a home warranty company. A few minutes later, a different plumbing company called and said that the service call was reassigned to them by the home warranty company. Bottom line, very rude interaction throughout. No courtesy and no consideration of my time and others. Would not use them again. They need to rethink who they have on the phone representing their company.
Description of Work: No service performed.

These minor jobs went well. Andy arrived within the specified time. My shock came after he went out to the truck to write up the invoice. The total was for more than $240. He subtracted $50 for the kitchen sink "as a courtesy", but had I known the toilet flap and installation would cost $75, I would NEVER have asked him to do this simple job. In the future, I'll be sure to ask for quotes for each individual detail.
Description of Work: Andy rootered the tub, bathroom sink, and replaced the flapper to toilet. I thought I was paying the quoted price of $122.50 for the hour, and therefore asked him to rooter the kitchen sink as well.

I called A Plus Plumbing on short notice to complete a routine inspection as part of a new house purchase inspection. The plumber arrived 2 hours early (which did not sit well with the seller), but he waited patiently for me to arrive and to begin work. He was very careful to show me the problem areas and even redid some work in order to video tape one section of the drain (at no extra cost).
Description of Work: Video inspection of sewer line and two exterior drains.

I couldn't be home for the call, but we had used this company before, so I was fine with my wife taking the call. The plumber was very knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. He did use up a lot of our old rags (one of these toilets was a real mess ), but left the place pretty clean. I don't know if we could have gotten the job done for less or not -- when it comes to the business end of a toilet, I'll pay whatever they ask! We called them on a weekend, and they came out on Tuesday.
Description of Work: Reset one toilet that was tilting back and forth, replaced wax ring on the other. The tilting toilet needed it's flange replaced, as it was rusted. Both toilets got new wax rings and are sealed up nice and tight now. I hope that now my family will be more careful about climbing on, pushing on, etc... the toilets!

EVENTUALLY IT WAS OK AFTER THEY FOUND WHERE THE LEAK WAS. THEY JACK HAMMERED AN AREA THAT DIDN'T HAVE TO BE JACK-HAMMERED. THEY LIKED TO CHAT AND TELL STORIES. THEY WERE PROBABLY OVERLY FRIENDLY FOR WHAT I WANTED.
Description of Work: THEY DID AN ELECTRONIC SLAB LEAK DETECTION AND FIXED IT.
