Delcid Roofing

Roberto came over to put 3 tarps on my roof due to a leaky roof on a rainy day. He came over and was prompt and saved the day. $1800. Expensive but it was emergency and he did it in the rain. Very respectable. Fast forward to today... I had to hire someone else in palmdale that my warranty company told me to hire to get my roof partially covered. This is where i have a problem. My issue with Roberto is he doesn't have any integrity. As a background, I bought a home from a house flipper that painted an old roof with fresh black paint. This literally tricked everyone including home and roof inspector. However, when I asked him to make a comment that the roof was painted so I can bring this issue up with the inspection company, he said "no i dont want to get involved if you are not paying me to redo the roof. They will ask me questions. Not worth it." A CA licensed roofer should always protect the public. I paid him handsomely $1800 to put three tarps down and so I am also his customer. He should just state the truth and not coward out. Yet money makes all his decisions. And fear. I have text message exchanges with him to reveal all this and will report all to CSLB because he is the type of licensed roofer that CSLB does not want, those that only care about money and not about the public. Btw, his quote for my roof was 23k for 30 squares, significantly higher than the one that I hired. He then says he would match any roofer. Go figure.

Delcid Roofing was very professional. They did a good job replacing the roof of my house, porch and patio with high quality of workmanship. They performed beyond their scope of work. They cleaned up all debris at the end of each workday and completed the job in a timely manner. They were patient and quick to respond to all of my questions and concerns which is commendable considering I had a lot of questions and concerns. Most importantly, they were very fair and transparent about the process from the beginning to the end. Roberto, the owner, was very kind...although it was not in the original scope of work, he painted all of the existing fascia board of my house to match the same color of the fascia boards that had to be replaced due to dry rot, due to safety concerns taped up a loose pipe that extended from my water heater to the roof, and provided very helpful referrals and suggestions for other home improvement projects that I was doing (e.g. patio, gutters, concrete pavers).

I was frustrated learning that most roofing companies do not do repairs under $3000. After getting big quotes from roofing companies from the first page of Angie's list, I called Delcid who was still an A company but not on the first page. The owner gave me an appointment the following day. Very professional and knowledgeable, he explained why that roof intersection was not done correctly. His quote was much less than the estimates of the big companies I had called. The other companies had said they have to replace the whole valley. Roberto Delcid said that he would open only so much of the valley until he sees where the leak came from. Today the job was done. He also did maintenance on the roof: nailing flashings, sealing the pipes. They left everything clean.

This company was a pleasure to work with--from the bid process to the completion of the job. The crew is extremely hard working; arriving early to the job and staying until around 5 pm every day. The owner is responsive and knowledgable. We were pleased with the work done and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

I was recommended to Roberto DeCid through a friend and he was quick to respond to my call. The price was really reasonable and the job was completed on time. Roberto was very professional, punctual and kept me informed throughout the project. I will be using him on other roofing jobs. Great guy! A+!!!

The 20 year shingles on my single story home were so worn that I was concerned about potential leakage so I gathered quotes from several roofers listed as and quot;Aand quot; on Angie's list. Although Delcid is located only a few miles from my home, they were not in the first page of and quot;Aand quot; roofers in my Angie's search. All the quotes were exceptionally high and some were telling me I would need to rent a crane to lift my roof A/C condensor and others said I would need to strip the roof. My neighbor suggested Delcid since they did his roof and the home behind him (which is how he discovered them). They quoted me (30-year Timberline dimensional shingles) the very next day, were significantly less expensive, did not try to upsell me, and started the day after I signed the quote. They brought out a large crew and did extensive preparation to smooth out the first roofing level. They then finished the entire job by the next day. The roof looks great and you can't tell that we have a second layer unless you look closely. No leaks, no bubbles, no issues. I do not write reviews often, but I am thrilled and will definitely recommend Delcid to my other neighbors. I wish I could do more to thank them but it will be another 20-30 years before I will need them again.

If you need a new roof or roof repairs I recommend you speak to Roberto of Delcid roofing. These fine folks have done two roofing jobs for me. A shingle roof (approximately 2010) and a flat roof (in January 2013). In both cases the work was excellent, lowest bid, and hassle free. They didn't’t even charge for the extra work done as the project proceeded. Roberto even gives you a call afterwards to make sure you are satisfied and promises to repair if a problem develops. ( It never does). Having had many roofing contractors (house built in approximately 1960) I recognize excellence and that would be Delcid Roofing.

From the beginning to the end, it was a very positive experience. Roberto kept his word and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend him.

It looks beautiful. There are no leaks. He said "If there are any problems I'll come over and fix it no problem" and I believe him. They were thousands less than anyone else. I didn't chose by price I chose by what Roberto told me. They did additional fixings for nothing.
