Geek Squad - Best Buy

Purchase experience was fair & I am very happy with the washing machine. The delivery did not go so well. The 1st attempt to receive my washer was reasonably on time but was noted to be defective ( to the credit of this 1st driver--installer) A new delivery date was set for Sat. Nov. 14th to be delivered between 3pm & 5pm. The driver did not show up until 7:45pm & the main person doing the assembly & instillation did not seem very sure of what he was doing. I had to tell them which way to turn the machine to get it up my 5 stairs as they were about to demolish the front door of the washer doing it their way. After getting the washer inside my laundry room, they tried to get the drawer into the base (pedastil) & finally realized they had bolted the pedastil on backwards. After fixing that, I helped them level the machine using my leveler (they did not have one). After they left approx 10pm, I noticed they had not replugged in my dryer which had to be plugged into same socket & I could'nt reach back ther & do it myself. Once again I had to make arrangements for a 2 hour time window for them to come back, move the heavy washer & plug in my dryer. I had read on the web from other buyers that Best Buy did a good delivery job--I did not feel these people were professional at all & wasted alot of my time.

They have to come to my home 3 times and do a partial job.

We came into the store based on an add in the paper. The first salesman we met seemed to know more about computers and MP3 players, etc. but soon recognized the need to refer us to the ''appliance guy''. We waited a short while as he finished helping another customer and got right down to business. He understood what we were looking for and was a great help. Compared to the kind of service we had experienced at many of his competitor's stores, this was refreshing. He knew his product and didn't try to pull any smoke or mirrors. Not many people are interested in large freezers these days, and you tend to be ignored in many stores. We were not pressured to buy the warranty and didn't pay to have the freezer delivered, but when we returned with a friend's pickup, it was ready and waiting for us, and they helped us load it.
