The project went beautifully overall. They weren't able to get the job done in the one day that was anticipated, so Alex scheduled the men to come back the next day instead of rescheduling, stating that he likes to get a job done and not flip back and forth between projects. I appreciated him scheduling the men to return and finish the job. Once the job was complete, I needed the painters to come back to touch up a few areas, and they were happy to do so and did an excellent job.

There were plumbers working simultaneously along with them and they did their job with no hassle. Their pricing was very reasonable. They were punctual and responsive as well. They did a very good and through job.

We are very happy with the result. The house looks great and Alex and his crew did a great job. The other quotes were much higher for the job (our house is around 2000 sq ft. single story with a separate 2 car garage). One quote was almost double. They completed the work on time but a bit higher than the initial estimate. The plants around the house were protected. They cleaned up completely upon finishing the job. Alex was very patient with us as we flip-flopped around choosing the colors. They painted the trim exactly to our specifications.

They were quick and did good work. I was particularly impressed with the color boundaries between rooms, for they were crisp and without blemishes. They were clean and tidy overall. The only surprise is that I had wanted the living room and bedroom walls to be painted in eggshell finish, but they ended up being painted in flat finish. There had been around three weeks between when Alex and I first discussed the project and he gave a detailed bid, and when the actual project was done. On the first day of the job, Alex came and we went over the details again, with the crew that was going to start the prep work there. The finish was the only detail that I did not bring up at that time. I am certain that if I had mentioned it then, they would have used the desired finish of paint. Overall, though, the finish is minor, and I am quite pleased with the work.

Ace Painting did a wonderful job! He laid out key options, dropped off color samples and, best of all, coordinated the paint job with a roofing company. He had his people paint the house after the roofers had removed the old shingles and installed plywood. His crew meticulously prepped the house and bushes and then carefully began what turned out to be an impeccable job. Kudos to Ace Painting!

Alex the estimator showed up on a Saturday precisely at the scheduled time. He listened to our description of the work we wanted, looked over the exterior, and provided an estimate within 30 minutes. He very promptly replied to emails asking for additional information, and dropped off additional color samples we requested. And he needed no deposit before starting the work - just complete payment at the end. The crew of three, led by Carlos, started the work on Tuesday morning, with an estimate that they'd be done by that Saturday. They carefully covered the landscaping along the foundation, cleaned off the old paint on the window sills, masked around all the windows and fittings, then applied two coats of paint on all surfaces. They worked around our schedule to paint the exterior doors, which needed to be open for a couple of hours for painting and drying. When completed they cleaned up neatly, and did a walk-around inspection with us to ensure we were satisfied with the work. They finished on Friday, a day earlier than estimated. There were only a couple of minor problems. A few of our flowers got trampled, which wasn't much of surprise given the close quarters. The workers left a bit of a mess of lunch wrappers in our rear yard during the work (which they cleaned up on the final day). And our satellite TV dish got bumped sometime during the work, so I had to realign it afterward. Overall we were very pleased with the job, and definitely recommend Ace Painting to anyone looking for an exterior paint job.

Alex arrived for the quote on time and provided the quote on the spot, unlike the competition. He helped us with color choices, recommending a different white trim color to better match the vinyl windows, and this proved to be good advice. All paint used was Kelly-Moore, and a custom color mix was required to match the existing color of the soffets and fascia. The job was completed in 4 days, with a crew of 3 for 3 days, and 2 for the last day. Alex's crew is terrific, and they have been with him for a long time. One had been with Ace for 10 years, and another for 6 years. They arrived each day at 8AM, and before leaving each night they cleaned up the work site, and stacked their ladders. At the end of the job, they scrubbed our brick patio down to remove any droplets of paint that had hit the bricks (and there weren’t very many!). They moved all our garden furniture and gardening equipment out of the way at the start of the job, and moved it back when done. It was easy to communicate with Alex, Daniel (the foreman) and the others, and they were top-notch painters. You can tell when you watch a painter go at it with a hand brush. The masking job was superb- with plastic sheet covering being applied over all our windows. No overspray was evident anywhere- including on our plants- just a few drops on the patio, which were washed up. Ours was not an easy house to paint, with a high roof, high chimney, and areas that required putting up a ladder on the roof itself. We have a tile roof, and I required that Alex commit in the contract to replacing any tiles that might be broken while they were on the roof. To my knowledge, none was damaged. Alex is reachable any time on his cell, and is great to work with. After a complete inspection of the job, all I could find requiring a retouch was an area at the edge of one door where the paint likely had come off when the door blew shut before it dried. My wife and I could not be more pleased, and recommend Ace Painting without reservation. His price was significantly better than the competition as well. Thanks, Alex and team!

Alex Yi was determined to make sure I was completely satisfied with the finished product--the exterior painting of my home. He was not worried about how much money he would make on the job. He promised me that I would be satisfied with the finished product. I am completely happy with the way my home looks--his crew really put "lipstick on a pig".

Alex's crew of two did a great job - worked a full day, from 8 am to 5 pm, stopping only for lunch. Pleasant crew to work with and be around. Very neat, clean. The ceiling re-plaster/paint job was not an easy one (in my opinion) and it turned out beautifully. I wanted both the walls and ceiling to match (as closely as possible) the "slip-trowel" textured surface of the other rooms in the home and Dave, the foreman, did an excellent job! Owner Alex was very accommodating, and checked in with the crew and me daily. It was a full 3 day job. I am very pleased and would hire again.

He is an excellent contractor. He had lot of suggestions. Very friendly and kept his promises. Prep work was excellent. He was always available when we wanted his suggestions. He and his crew were very polite, punctual and professional. He was always ready to go the extra mile to please the customer.

Great. Alex returned my call promptly and also kept in touch by email. He gave me a reasonable estimate and had his crew here to do the work at the scheduled time. They did a great job. And they were careful not to let my dog escape, as I asked.

Alex was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He has the capability to provide a written proposal and bid on the spot. We were very clear about our requirements: thorough prep, two coats of paint on all surfaces, more if needed, and the necessity of having the job done on specific dates as we were closing the business for a week. Alex was agreeable to all of this and was flexible. We also wanted him to use a paint the was more money per gallon than he quotes and we agreed to compensate him for this. The crew was pleasant, on time and skilled. Alex manages several crews. He seemed to come by our job site once or twice a day and he was always very responsive by telephone. We had one glitch which was corrected when I discovered it. The crew put one coat of paint on the trim and told me they were finished with job, actually a day earlier than we had anticipated. When I called Alex he instructed them to put on another coat explaining that they "paint to cover" and he had forgotten to tell them to paint two coats. On the other hand, in a couple of the rooms the color we used took 3 and 4 coats to cover and this was done without my requesting it. Alex let me know that he had had to purchase additional paint and I paid him for this. The job came out very nicely and we are quite pleased with it. I have recommended him already.

Overall they did good. Their workers were professional. They did a good job on the ceiling. There was a couple of areas that they could have done better. I thought their price was reasonable for the work we got done. The quality was work good.

We had replaced most of the windows on our old ranch home and needed to paint everything (new window trim, some replaced siding, and the whole house). I chose Alex because of his excellent reputation on Angie's List and his competitive price. Alex was able to accommodate my tight time frame, and powerwashed the house the day after we selected him for the work. The painting took 4 days in total.

Alex Yi came out promptly to give us an estimate and was thorough in explaining what he would do and offering us options. In subsequent email exchanges he further clarified some issues and answered our questions. His crew arrived promptly as scheduled and was professional throughout. The job took 2 days as promised and Alex visited frequently to insure everything was satisfactory. They cleaned up thoroughly, to include repairing a trellis that broke through no fault of theirs. When I called the following Thursday about a small area that needed retouching Alex sent someone on Saturday to take care of it.

Alex was punctual, arriving to see the house in the morning, went back to his truck, and several minutes late came back with a printed estimate. It was refreshing to see a contractor so high-tech oriented. He was easy to reach via cell phone and email, and was patient in answering my questions. Although he did not stay on site, his foreman was pretty good. It was a 4-day job. First day, one guy came to clean and power-wash the house; 2nd day, 3 guys came to scrape the old paint, and do the prep job; they sprayed on the 3rd day, and rolled on the 4th. The workers were polite. When Alex came in to walk through the job with me, I showed him a few spots requiring some touch-up; he promptly sent the foreman back in the afternoon to take care of them, and also took away the side panels they removed. Overall, I am very satisfied with the job they did. The house looks new!

From call to completion was less than two weeks. They come out and clean on the first day, then dry for a day and then three days of painting. The crew keeps the site clean and is professional. Alex is very easy to work with (and in fact made some excellent suggestions on the paint to help the finish last longer). All in all exactly what you want from a contractor, quality work done at a fair price completely hassle-free.

I first met him first for an estimate. He kept asking "are you sure" because we were painting our home very vibrant colors. He and his crew did such a great job. Everything looks great. His crew was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.

His crew are neat, quick and skillful painters. They finished when they said they would. They also cleaned up and moved furniture back.
