Alex Yi was incredibly accommodating. Due to a sudden economic disaster, he graciously lowered his original cost estimate. I would have gladly paid the original estimate (which I thought was fair) but I didn't have the money! His crew was very neat - covered everything carefully and so on. Alex was very meticulous in checking on their work daily and checking the dryness of the plaster in the room to make sure it was completely dry before application of primer and then custom mixed paint. The entire job took less than three days of actual work, with time in between to let plaster, then paint, dry before proceeding. The lead painter did an outstanding job of hand-slip-troweling (texturizing?) the walls to match the hallway. Apparently this threatment is not done much any more, but they were happy to accommodate my request. This type of wall treatment (when you don't want smooth walls) is far superior to what contractors are now doing in newly constructed homes. The crew and Alex Yi, the owner, were super and I recommend them.I will definitely hire Ace Painting again when the time (and budget) restrains allow!

Alex and his crew were wonderful!! Alex was very responsive and professional. His crew was always on time and were very hard workers. They were also very respectful of the home and cleaned up after themselves daily. We love the job that they did...our house looks so great!!

Alex showed up on time for an estimate. He presented it to me on the spot. He has a printer in his truck. This was the second time this year that I've used his company, so I knew his work and hired him on the spot. I had to leave town for the week, when I returned the job had been completed. Beautifully done, no mess. Very satisfied.

Excellent from start to finish. I looked up Ace Painting from Angie's List and contacted them. Alex responded promptly with an appointment for providing an estimate. The initial walk through was a breeze and Alex had a typed up proposal for us in 10 minutes. We selected Ace Painting for four reasons: - Availability - Price - Number of recommendations on Angie's list - Alex's willingness to be flexible and accommodate our requirements The overall process was also very smooth. Alex's crew arrived on time and they moved everything in the house and covered everything before starting the job. They also moved things back into place after the job was completed. They did a very thorough job covering every corner meticulously. We are happy with the work and would Alex & his crew to any one. We would also consider them again if we had another job at our place.

The work was done on schedule. The crew arrived at the right time and very less intervention was needed. The crew responded well to requests.

Alex was very responsive; he came and gave us an estimate 2 days after our call. He thoroughly explained the plan and gave us a written estimate. We wanted the same colors as we already had; he knew what those were. They started the work within a week, a day earlier than planned. After power washing one afternoon, they completed the job in the next 2 days, staying late the last day to finish the job. Alex came to check on it each day, and his workers were very courteous in making it easier for us to enter and exit the house while the windows and doors were covered with plastic. After they finished, I noticed small areas of white around the glass in the burgundy front door. Alex came that day to look at it, and it was corrected the next morning.

Within a couple of hours of sending an e-mail to inquire as to whether Mr. Yi serviced my area, he had left a voice message and responded to the e-mail. The next morning, Mr. Yi arrived promptly to provide an estimate for the job. I have never experienced his high level of quality of customer service. He deliverered and kept every commitment that was made. After I had selected the three (3) colors, he suggested another option instead of continuing with the job. This was very much appreciated and I could not be more pleased with the finished product. The house looks beautiful!

Alex was very professional and helpful with some color recommendations. Price was comparable to others but the coupon was very helpful. Team arrived promptly and Chava & Daniel & the others worked really hard with wonderful attention to detail. They quickly took care of a couple little items to finish off that I hadn't initially noticed. The experience was exactly what I wish all contractor work would be like--smooth, reasonable, hassle-free.

The paint looks superb, they patched any holes in the walls (from previous trim and paintings) and they will be back to do some additional accent painting. WILL use again and would recommend them without hesitation. Excellent price, quality and professionalism. Thank you!

When we decided we were going to repaint our house, we checked Angie's List for recommendations. We called Alex Yi at Ace Painting, due to all the favorable reports his firm had received. He came out promptly and gave us an estimate for the work, which was within the budget we had in mind. They began work within a few days of when we agreed to the price, and they completed the work within the time schedule they had indicated. We were surprised at how much preparation they do prior to painting -- preparation took more than a full day. But the benefits of all that preparation (washing, scraping, sanding, covering) clearly paid off in the final appearance of our house. Due to their attention to details, it looks even better than we were expecting it to. We were very satisfied, both with the process and the end result.

Alex showed up right on time to provide an estimate. He actually printed out a copy from his truck before he left. We have a 65 year old brick house with a seperate garage. Over the years the paint breaks down and the brick starts to allow some condensation to penetrate through. We needed a quality paint job to to reseal the brick. We also had the front fence painted as well to match the trim. They sanded and scraped all the old paint off. They then pressure washed everything. They tied off and covered the larger plants resting against the house using tarps where necessary. They patched and sealed all holes and cracks, prior to priming. They masked off all doors and windows and then painted the body and trim (two coats). They even pulled down the house number sign, painted it along with the numbers. We walked around the house and if I had any concerns they addressed them immediately. They did a thorough clean up and finished on time.

I got requested quotes from 4 painters. One never resonded, the two others took about a week to set an appointment and several more days to issue the quote. Ace responded then next day, set an appointment, arrived on schedule and left a quote prepared on a laptop in my driveway in about 30 minutes following the visit. Alex was very polite and professional. When the other quotes came in one was about the same and the other was 40% higher. Both others were recommeded by satisfied friends and all on had on Ace was the write ups on Angie's list. Ace had about 12 very good reviews on Angies list. Alex gave me a discount becasue of the Angie's list referral. I did some homework on the quality of the paint from kelly moore and told Alex that I wanted to use Pemium and not industrial professional. He said that is all they used. His painters showed up at 8 AM sharp, they cleaned up when they left and were very nice guys that work very hard all day. I was druring the heat wave and they never slowed down. I would highly recommend Ace to any of my friends. Alex is very professional. By the way the other painters never took the time to call back after submitting the quote. Alex waited about 4 days and did a follow up. I asked him to wait a couple more weeks while we finalized the color choice and he was dilligent about following up two weeks later when i told him I would be ready

I sent an email requesting a bid after finding the company with good ratings on the Angie's list website. Ace (Alex) responded via phone literally within minutes (he must be using a Blackberry) and we arranged to meet the following morning. Alex arrived on time; I showed him the room, pointed out areas that were in need of repair, e.g. a damaged wall area where a too-high wattage light bulb had been used sometime in the distant past, and explained that I had to have the job completed in a single day since it was the only bathroom in the house. Alex commented that he also noticed other areas that needed additional work, discussed how he thought it best if they remove the linen cabinet doors/drawers for painting, and confirmed that the job could be completed in one day. He gave me a paint sample card, and since I already knew that I wanted the cabinet and ceiling to match the bathroom door (Kelly Moore Swiss Coffee), Alex suggested that I might want to stay with the least intense color options illustrated by the sample card. Alex then went out to his car, and returned 15 minutes later with a typed up bid proposal, on letterhead no less, listing the prep work, painting commit, cleanup etc which as covered by the bid. I contacted Alex a week later and told him that I wanted to move forward with the project. We agreed on a day for the following week, and Alex asked that I contact him no later than two days before the project with my color choice for the walls (plenty of time). Tony from Ace showed up at 8:30 as scheduled. He was very polite and conscientious. In fact when he saw that I was not wearing shoes in the house, he immediately removed his! (Eventually drop cloths were put down, so the shoes went back on). Tony got right to work removing the cabinet doors/drawers and painted them in my garage. Alex came by for a few minutes later that morning, he showed me that the doors and drawers were actually already completed – Tony had set up a heater/fan in the garage to accelerate the drying. At around 3 pm Tony let me know that he was done and asked that I review the job. Its at this point that an otherwise flawless proceeding broke down. The aforementioned damaged wall from the too-high wattage light bulb was freshly painted, but it had not been repaired/resurfaced in any way. I was quite upset; Tony indicated that he thought the wall was too badly damaged and could not be restored. I basically responded that one of the few reasons I hired a professional was to repair that damage – otherwise I could (and have) paint a bathroom on my own. By the way, the bid specifically stated “Resurface any damaged area”, so I didn’t think I was out of line with my request. Tony said he would find a way to fix it; he spent another hour working to re-create (with caulk) a smooth surface which he also painted. When he finished, the damage was substantially better than it had been on first review, and although it still did not meet my original expectations, I didn’t press the point further. Tony cleaned up thoroughly and I thanked him for his efforts. The net of all this is that if the damaged wall area was un-repairable, then I wish I had been told that up-front and not been surprised at the end of the job. Further, while I would contact Ace again for future bids, I would make very certain that we had a crystal clear understanding of the submitted bid detail vs my expectations

Excellent. On time, clean and tidy, did a touch up when requested.

He was very nice when he came over. He gave me an estimate and just tried to remember what work needed to be done. I made sure to write down what I wanted even though he didn't. When he came to do the work he had forgotten some things that needed to be done. His men failed to paint the baseboards, or trim, so I had them come back to repaint it. None of his workers spoke English. So, I left post-its for them on the things that needed to be painted. They accidentally dropped paint on my rug which I didn't notice until they left. I wasn't too pleased with the job that they did. They also failed to paint the inside of my front door. They were just a little bit careless lets put it that way. The painting was good but I unfortunately needed them to come back to paint what they missed the first time around. I bought all of the paint that they used so the price that they charged me was just for the labor. I really wish that they gave me a written down estimate. I didn't like how they failed stick to the schedule that I laid out for them. I had to stay home when they came and it messed up my personal schedule. I also didn't appreciate that they washed out their brushes in my kitchen sink. They didn't clean up too well after themselves when they were done. They were just sloppy. However, I felt like they were pretty responsive when I initially called them for the project.

Alex came out and did an estimate a couple of days after I called Ace. He was professional and clearly understood what I wanted right away. He scheduled the work for the next week, and was excellent about communicating when he and his workers would arrive via phone call and email. He came out with three workers on the day of the work. They did a very good job of masking and protecting the surrounding pavement and plants. They worked quickly and were very polite. I am very satisfied with the results. This job was excellent in all respects. I only wish all tradesmen were as efficient and no hasssle, no drama. Highly recommended.

Alex came out to give us a quote. Ace wasn't the cheapest, but we chose Ace based on their Angie's List comments. One of the painters came out to powerwash our house on a Saturday. This person was a little late, but when I called Alex to ask where he/she was, he immediately found out why he/she wasn't there and called me back. The powerwash went quick. A team of 3 painters came out on Monday AM. They were punctual and very thorough about prepping - taping off, dropcloths, and sanding. They worked fast and clean. I had chosen two similar colors for the base and trim, so one of the painters, painted a sample spot to allow me to view it. I immediately determined the colors were too close, and they allowed me to change the trim color at the last minute. I had to pay for the paint that had already been purchased, but it was worth the $60 charge. The painters finished the first day without problems, and they were prompt the next morning. They did a great job the next day - finishing early between 3-4p. Alex came out promptly to give me my invoice, collect my check and check the work of his crew.

Ace was very responsive to initial contact, Alex came for estimate promptly and provided a professional paper bid on the spot - I found it very easy to explain exactly what I wanted and the bid reflected everything clearly and exactly, w/ thorough itemization (big plus for me). When I accepted the bid I was able to schedule an almost immediate start, w/ the work performed on days that fit my schedule, another big plus. The actual work was performed by a crew of 3 painters - they were waiting and ready each day before the scheduled time, had everything they needed, worked very quickly and efficiently, and caused absolutely no mess or damage - I was very impressed w/ their level of professionalism. The work was completed in exactly the time promised and I paid exactly the amount estimated - this was the highest bid I received but I had a good feeling about Ace after the estimate and I'm glad I went w/ them - the work is essentially flawless and I experienced zero stress or aggravation - worth a few extra bucks.

The job went very well, Alex the owner was very professional and flexible. The job lasted 2 days, on the night of the 1st day we realized the remaining rooms were not going to be ready the following morning, we called Alexa late that night and he agreed to start at noon the next day to allow us to get the rooms ready. He was very competitive in his pricing also.

I called Ace Painting on the 9th of July and Alex Yi came to my house to give me a proposal on the 10 of July. Alex was very polite young man and listen to what colors and paint manufacture I wished to use. We did a walk around of the house, he then went out to his truck and printed out the proposal with discounts for senior citizen of $60.00 and one from Angie's List of 10%. I was told it would be 2 weeks before he could start work due to other contracts. One of his workers came by on the 18th of July and power washed the whole house, did a great job. The paint crew of three came by on the 20th of july, covered all walkways and patio with tarps. They then masked off all windows and frames and started work prepping the house for paint, filling, priming and sanding. They then painted two coats of paint to the main part of house and removed masking from windows. The next day they returned and painted all of the trim. After that they removed all the rubbish, replaced that which had been removed for painting. They left leaving one happy homeowner!

I contacted 3 companies from Angie's List and got 3 estimates for the job. Ace Painting was the lowest estimate and they also had the most ratings and the highest ratings so it was an easy decision. The job was completed on time and on budget. The crew was very professional and punctual. We were extremely happy with the result and would not hesitate to recommend Ace Painting for exterior paint work. We are also considering using them for some interior work as well.

We are very satisfied and happy with the work performed by ACE painting. Alex, the owner did give us a list of prior satisfied customers for reference with his bid without our asking. The prep work of cleaning, caulking and patching was done very meticulously . Over the years I have done some paint repair on smaller exterior areas of the house,so I can appreciate the quality prep work. The crew was on time every day from start to finish and kept the site clean after leaving. We had our home painted a couple of years ago and this job is done better than previous one. Alex, the owner, was very accomodating. He did let us try a trim color he did not think would work but just because we asked him to try before choosing the ones he suggested. Work was done on time as planned!
