+ -1 moreDuy showed up on time and was able to properly determine the sound comes from water get into exhaust hose as the crawlspace was flooded. He's very courteous and wore shoe covers whenever he stepped on to my hardwood floor. He then performed the maintenance - which is over due. Because of the cost, I did not have them come back for yearly maintenance after the units are installed in 2013. We did clean/replace the filters every now and then.
Description of Work: Heard water running sound whenever my heater runs.

+ -1 moreVery professional and efficient. All staff and employees performed well. Installation team always used shoe wrappers indoors. Arrangement of required ductwork test was completely arranged by A Plus and utilized an excellent testing provider.

+ -1 moreWe purchased through Costco and A Plus is the vendor that Costco subcontracted to. They did a great job and stuck to their original quote, and even though my house was FAR more complicated than they had anticipated and quoted (lots of additions to the house structures, with two separate crawl spaces). They were very professional and I recommend them.
Description of Work: I arranged for a replacement of my furnace, installation of central A/C (didn't have it before) and replacement of all the house's ductwork.

+ -1 moreI was telephoned by someone giving the impression that they were connected with Palo Alto Utilities and offering to assess the state of my gas furnace (it is more than 20 years old) and advise on possible upgrades. I agreed and scheduled a time for them to visit. They arrived about two hours late (after about one hour, they telephoned to say that they were running late), and then did an extremely cursory inspection of the system, without even going into several rooms, or even counting the number of heat vents! They proposed to replace the gas furnace, but would not provide a proper written quotation for the work. When I asked for one, I got only three lines written on a blank sheet of paper, without company letterhead, date, signature, or validity dates. They offered no literature or specifications of the unit they proposed to install. The piece of paper they gave me clearly would have no legal validity (it could have been written by anyone). Needless to say, I will not have this firm perform this, or any other, work.

Description of Work: This company evidently works through PG&E (that's how they got my phone number). An Appointment was set up for June 11 at 12 Noon with a confirmation at 11AM. They did not call until 11:20 am to my cell which I wasn't able to respond to right away). Their call bypassed Caller-id. They also called my home phone and left a message, again blocking caller-id. But they did leave a call-back number, 934-0733. They called at about same time as cell. I called back within 10 minutes of their cell call and got a messaging system recording. The message I left asked them to keep the original appointment and call back. They did neither! I waited until 1pm. No callback. I received a reschedule call the next day! I told the person who called that I wouldn't do business with a company that didn't have the courtesy to return calls. I also don't like companies who block caller-id! This tells me they have something to hide! I did a reverse lookup on Google to find the company name. This company failed my initial criteria and I'm not likely to give them another chance.

+ -1 moreThey gave me a very detailed quote which I liked. They did everything they said they would do, and did it in a very timely fashion. It was done in about a day and a half. The heater has been working wonderfully. The train has been very good too.
