It’s all about trust. We live on the East Coast, and our Marin County family home needed a kitchen remodel. We were looking for a contractor we could trust to look out for our best interests. We were fortunate to find Roger Huntress and Mt. Tam Construction. Roger handled everything including several things outside of his responsibilities. He truly wants to help. The Mt. Tam Construction team is professional, they respect your home, and keep a clean work site. The job started on time and finished on schedule. The finished kitchen is exactly what we wanted and within our budget.

It went very well and what you see is what you get. They showed up, worked hard, asked questions and there were no surprises. Roger worked with me to come up with design ideas and helped me pick out almost every thing I needed for the job. Nice and simple.

Roger and his team did a great job on my bathroom remodel! They were dependable, responsive and efficient. Roger was a pleasure to work with and always had quick solutions for issues that came up. I will go to them again for any home renovation project.

Another remodel, another job well done by Mt. Tam! This one was certainly not easy, and required all kinds of extra work due to our own style preferences, and the existing framework. Roberto, Isa & co. are true masters of their trade, and it REALLY helps that they can handle everything themselves instead of hiring out specialists which takes more time & money. Roger is an idea guy, and continues to think of new improvements / enhancements to your project; don't be surprised if he comes to you with something! Best advice I can give is to take him up on it if your budget allows - the adjustments were completely worth it, and priced quite fairly. The crew is in demand, so the project went on a bit longer than we'd hoped, but if you can be patient and want quality work, this is the team to work with.

Roger, Roberto & team were excellent. Of the 8 different contractors I spoke with, Roger had the most innovative way to accomplish what I wanted to get done, without trying to push any upsells and be cognizant of cost (we just bought the place so budget is obviously important). The team arrived promptly on Tuesday, and by mid day Wednesday were cleaning up after a job well done. I'm not a builder myself, but am fortunate enough to have been exposed to what quality work is...This is quality. Most builders don't want to do the small gigs, but guess what, this is how you win business. We are looking forward to having the team back to do our master bath in 2021!

We are very pleased with the end result. Roger was very attentive and gave good advice on the initial design. Roger has an experienced and detail oriented work crew. They moved a major support beam, added electrical, extended plumbing in our slab and added windows. The crew were very respectful of our home and yard where they stored their equipment. They kept everything neat and organized. Roberto reviewed all tile, trim and paint choices with us. He even FaceTimed us while we were vacationing to get input on the shower niche!!!

When I purchased this home over 10 years ago I knew that one day the teeny tiny master bathroom with a small shower would need to be upgraded. Finally the dream has become a reality with the help of Roger at Mt Tam Construction and his crew. I like that Roger and his group focus specifically on bathrooms because this means they really know them inside and out. The crew was friendly and attentive to detail, making sure that everything was placed just where I wanted it...which was important in this small space. They also cleaned up thoroughly each day. Roberto did a great job of working with me on the tile placement in the shower, offering suggestions based on his expertise and it all turned out looking great. Roger's estimate of time to complete was accurate and he was always willing to do whatever it took to make sure I was happy with the end product. All in all, a great experience.

The completed project exceeded my expectations in quality and was finished ahead of time! Roger and his crew understood the needs of the school and were attentive to the safety needs of the children as well as being respectful of time constraints (no loud work during nap time). They always arrived on time, cleaned up the site daily, and were appreciative of, responsive and kind to the very excited and curious children. I would definitely call them first for other similar types of work.

Perfectly! Roger is very easy to work with and completely open to the requests and ideas of the clients. The job was bid accurately and completed in a competent and timely manner. His carpenters are exceptionally skilled and in addition have very good taste in terms of how things should be done to bring about the desired effect. This job consisted of removal of old tile, tearing out carpeting, redoing a shower, and installing large carrara marble tiles with heat under them. They installed a free standing stone tub as well. All perfectly executed and artistically installed. My wife and I could not be more pleased with the result. It was a pleasure to work with Roger and his crew and he is definitely on my "will call again list" for any future work. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

The job went very well. Roger and his crew stayed on top of it even when the counters and cabinets were delayed by other vendors. They found innovative ways to handle problems that were not anticipated, when they arose and found and administered outside subs when needed, getting bids to help with the budget. Roger did a "labor only" bid as we provided cabinets and counters. I am not sure I made the right choice to do that - but it was expedient and Roger went with it. Rogers charges were reasonable and we reimbursed costs of hardware items that he got. If I were to do it again, I would probably ask for a complete bid - but that was my choice. Roger was always responsive and available when I had a question. He always gave me an idea of where he was on the job and what we needed to do. Ron L

Roger and team were GREAT!!! Roger went out of his way several times to make sure the project ran on time, was the best it could be and even added in some things I hadn't thought of on his own (no cost). We redid the floors, lighting, paint, fixtures and vanity (which required plumbing work) in our hall bathroom and it took a little less than two weeks. He even helped us save the height measurements we had marked on one wall for our 3 kids by finding the perfect size board to transfer it to before we had to paint over it. There was a snafu with our tile delivery (tile company's fault) and Roger drove all the way to San Leandro to get it for us so we wouldn't stall on the work. He stayed in constant contact and was incredibly responsive. I would absolutely hire him again. Anyone would be lucky to get his time and team for a project.

Great, I love my new bathroom it’s exactly what I had hoped for! The crew that worked on the project were wonderful. I had never hired a contractor before and they helped me make good choices and guided through finding the resources I needed for the products I needed to get. My favorite thing though was that everyone treated my dogs very kindly and gently.

Everything went extremely well. Roger, Issa, and Jose did an absolutely outstanding job on the bathroom: the water damage was repaired, the bathroom repainted, new LED lights put in, a new floor vent installed. It looks just great- the best room in the house right now! "Above and beyond" is what comes to mind. Roger and his team were prompt, courteous, informed, and helpful. We would definitely recommend Mt. Tam Construction to anyone.

Roger responded to our first inquiry promptly. Within a week, we completed a walk thru and prioritized our projects. Roger helped us envision a staged remodeling approach, aiming to meet our style preference and to increase our home's value. He provided reasonable estimates, and also helped us modify the projects to fit our budget. Roger guided us through the process and provided us with multiple options to address unexpected issues. He was always available for consultation. Roger and his crew completed their work diligently and thoroughly. We have referred Mt. Tam Construction to our friends and colleagues due to their value and quality.

I am very pleased with the results. There were a few challenges but everything came together in the end and I am very happy with it. They crew did a great job and were very respectful. I am planning another project with them.
