They were very helpful, and nice. They didn't really get everything all the way clean, and the stairs were still really wet. I had them come back out, they did re-do the stairs and they said it was the best they could do with the rest of it. I'm waiting for a second company to come to fix it.

My friend shared the experience with me and the bill. They responded to the initial call and when they came to look at it, they said it would cost $350. When they returned the next morning and the gentleman said that he had made a mistake and that it would cost about $850 for a proper job. The minimum, which was to pull the carpet back and take out the pad underneath that, was soaked through and started to really smell but they took that out and at that point we said, that is it, goodbye. So they didn't end up finishing it and we also didn't pay them $850 to do it either. We called another person through our realtor, who finished the job for us. They were very nice and it may have been a case of inexperience. I don't even know the person who gave us the first estimate was the same person that came out but there was a very wide discrepancy and we both reacted to that; it was kind of a date and switch. I don't think if that was the intention, it may have just been a miscommunication or a person not understanding the extend of the damage, but it didn't match and it didn't work in our favor either. They continued to be very cooperative and very pleasant throughout. It was kind of a dreadful experience and the timing couldn't have been worse to a flood a bathroom, and a bedroom swimming out into our family room the week before Christmas. It kind of put a damper on things. I don't think that I would call them again. I think that part of the problem may have been that they weren't coming from here; I think they possibly work out Fresno or Bethesda or something and so that factors into the cost too.
