August 5, 2015: HOMEOWNERS READ!!!!! This bad contacting scam will now be heading to court, the Merced CO DA's office is filling criminal charges against Mark Cordes, AKA Mark Foutch, Marcus T Foutch for numerous charges. PLEASE contact the Merced Co District attorney's office today and speak to an investigator. We will not stop until ALL parties involved in this scam are prosecuted and stripped of all professional licenses they hold or will ever attempt to hold. DO NOT TRUST THEM. If they have scammed you, please contact the CSLB to file your complaint. UPDATES 3/2015- ALL HOMEOWNERS AFFECTED BY ANC CUSTOMS PLEASE READ!!!!! We are now moving into full legal proceedings with this scam. PLEASE, if any of you have dealings with ANC Customs contact the CSLB immediately or the Merced County District Attorney's office and file your complaints!!! Our losses now total over $24k. Update July 2014!!!! We have removed the finished sheetrock from entire bathroom and found major electrical and plumbing code violations. They created a junction box to patch wires too short to reach the main 3 switch/outlet. The junction box has at least 3 safety violations, as the rest of the outlets they rewired. Any /all of these is a fire hazard. FYI----There were multiple buried junctions boxes, anyone of them could have caused a fire. The shower wall plumbing they created revealed pipes that were not even soldered, which would have caused flooding. They left live wires on the ground, did not replace old wall insulation with new, as they said they did and I paid for. If I could upload images, you could see all the wires behind the "finished sheetrock" looks like a cats paw game. Thank God, I did not allow ANC Customs to finish this project! 10/2014 ATTENTION ALL HOMEOWNERS THAT MAY HaVE HAD WORK DONE BY THESE PEOPLE: HAVE IT INSPECTED, especially the electrical. The junction box they buried behind the finished wall is one of the most illegal things you can do. My house would have burnt down. How can these three people sleep at night knowing their work can burn down a home, families hurt or worse? Don't let these people get away with the damages they have caused to several homes. File your California State License Board complaint today, our investigation is about to begin, the state needs your complaints. Please file today!
Description of Work: ANC Customs, Mark J Cordes and Joan M Cordes are frauds, scammers and thieves. They were hired to do a remodel project, all work they did was not to code, terrible workmanship. We are now at a proven loss of $12,000 and will most likely loss another $11,500. By the way, Joan M Cordes is a mobile notary, Joanie's Mobile Notary--I would seriously question the integrity of this woman. Our legal system is involved.

I would never use this company again. It was a joke. The shortcuts we found out about should have never happened.
Description of Work: Had to have the contractor come back multiple times. 1 time do to losing power to a receptical they installed. Found out a wirenut burnt and no box where the wires were connected. Not done by code. Another time they had to come back because the vent for heat and a/c the lines were kinked and had no airflow. Another time they had to come back because we found out they left a lot of lumber and trash under the house which could have created a termite issue.
A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! Jacob Cordes, Marcus Foutch & "wife" Joanie Cordes are all a fraud! Only hire if you want your property ruined! Terrible workmanship -flooded my home during a leak repair. see photo? several lights look like this. hire at your own risk!! I'm paying rent & mortgage thanks to these CLOWNS!
Description of Work: In the beginning MARK seemed very knowledgable. He and JACOB came out to inspect my property and gave me a bid that seemed fair. I had just purchased my dream home a foreclosed home that had a lot of work to be done but great potential. The bank issued him half of the $$ to get this project started. Run new elcetrical in the entire house, get the plumbing going, install carpet in 2 rooms, install AC unit system, vanityai
Started good. Origional quote was $10,000 which I had no problem with. The project was to take about 4 weeks. They ran into an issue with Lead paint which ended up costing them about 3 days labor. When putting up barrier to remove the Lead paint the barrier was held up with 2x4's that poked 2 holes in the bedroom ceiling and 2 more in the hall ceiling that wasn't being worked on. Later I found out they were going to cover up my origional insulation on a exterior wall which in the quote had a cost to replace it. I had to bring it to their attention to get them to replace it. During the remodel which ended up taking 6 weeks instead of 4. I saw 3 to 4 employees get fired from their employment (not my issue I just want my job completed). During construction it noticed that my attic fan wasn't working and due to having a injured back at the time I asked if they could replace it. I was told the fan itself was about $100.00. I said ok. Later I found out my quote had jumped from $10,000 to $10,500. They said it was due to rewiring the fan. My bathroom exhaust fan (less than 1 year old)got shorted out due to their wiring , which they did replace. On top of the quote I still paid for all the paint and primer to cover the work that was done, the closet doors and metal trim for the shower edges. Per the quote I purchased all the tile for the shower, the floor and the vanity top. As the contract stated when each of the 4 checks were requested I had the check for them within 1 to 2 days without failure. The first 2 checks were actually paid together to help cover the permit. When things were finally coming to a close and we were doing inspections as we were asked to do, they started demanding their final check before they had finished the touchups. We were told if I didn't pay them in full they were going to contact their Attorney and start processing, was told 3 or 4 times. I still had the final check delivered to them on the second day. Also it was noticed the new $200 toilet I paid for in the quote had a chip in it, which they came back out and patched and the new vanity that was purchased had a chip in the cabinet in which we noticed. (Though the quote said they were going to build and didn't) They installed it without letting us know that it wasn't built but bought.. They told me to make a list at end of each day, then his wife came and told us that we shouldn't be doing that even though they told us to. Also when contract was signed Mark told us he would give us receipts, (should have put in contract but didn't, we trusted him) and at the end of the job his wife said they don't do that. So we didnt get receipts. Don't be mistaken bathroom is alot nicer then it was originially, just had alot of issues.
Description of Work: Made new closet on a different wall, 1/2 of origional closet was removed & the remainder made into a linen closet. Bathroom was completely gutted, toilet moved from 1 wall to another, shower was expanded and had bench seat installed and 30" door was installed. Repaired part of sub floor that was rotted,, installed tile shower, tile floor. Store bought vanity and tile vanity top, recessed lights in ceiling and mirror with hand made frame. Also Put light in new closet and replaced attic fan.
