They did a great job

The electrician was polite, knowledgeable and fast but thorough. He explained what he needed to do the job, including new parts, switches, etc. and he was time efficient. I do think when reviewing cost estimates, it should be mentioned that travel time for parts and supplies that are not on the truck is counted as part of the hourly fee. Overall, it was a very good experience and the job was well done.

Monte responded almost immediately to my Home Advisor quote request. He is a sole owner, so he does all the appointments and all the work. I was able to schedule an appointment very quickly, at my convenience. It was a simple case of installing a new lighting fixture in place of an old, non-functioning one. He made it clear on the phone that it would save me money if I had the fixture there for him when he arrived, and so I purchased the light at Orchard Supply in advance. He told me that he charges $175 just to come out, but thought that if I had the fixture, it would not cost more than that. While that seems extreme, I was quoted $300 for a service call by another company, so I think that is just what electricians go for in our area. He has a sweet, quiet dog that he keeps in his truck. Monte arrived promptly. He was courteous and friendly and completed the job quickly. I would definitely hire him again.

Monty the electrician was helpful in simplifying the problem with the homeowners and PG & E. But PG & E person didn't appear to be helpful. Monty was helpful throughout the repair process.

I thought he was a bit unconscious as he clipped pieces of wire letting them fly; even one dropped into the toilet and he could have cared less. I paid too much for what he provided.

Monte did an excellent job

Monte was punctual, friendly and a professional. Over the phone, after I described what I wanted done, he quoted me a price. When the job was completed, he honored the phone quote! (No hidden costs etc) He did a professional job in installing the fixtures. He left the work area clearer then when he arrived. I would highly recommend Monte for your electrical jobs.

Monty was alert to find an electrical problem which could have been life threatening and corrected it. This was in addition to installing and wiring a new outlet.

He went out of his way to make sure I got the project done in time despite delays/challenges. I would definitely recommend MC to anyone in the area.

MC was a fantastic electrician to work with. He looked at the work and explained why the remodeling electrician was wrong and offered a solution that was a good value. Other bids for electricians were almost twice as much. His straight talking can put people off since it is very direct but it is a just the facts approach that led to savings in both time and money. He rewired an outdoor patio and installed new grounded outlets. Would recommend again.
