+ -1 moreMr. Hallmark did a very good job. Between his workmanship and my painting, people have actually commented how good the door surround looks now. I am docking him from an A to a B on Professionalism only because he leaned my door up against a stone wall with the result that the paint on the outside of the door was slightly chipped. If he had used a towel as a cushion, or even just leaned it the other way, it would have been fine. I would hire him again for similar work, making sure to provide any needed extras like a towel.
Description of Work: The wooden surround of an exterior door needed replacement due to water damage. The work involved taking down the door, removing the old, rotted wood, replacing it with new custom cut wood, and replacing the door. Sanding, priming, and painting was not included, so the price seemed a little high, but was still reasonable. (I haven't had any similar jobs done in the past so don't know what's a typical price.)

+ -1 moreThe double door was very leaky. Jim did an excellent job of fixing the leaky door. After he left notice that he did not filled up all the nailed holes in the door jam. Left him a phone message to come back to do the work but never heard from him again.
Description of Work: Installed new threshold, weather strip, door bolts and adjust the doors. $550 labor and $145 for parts.

+ -1 moreHe did a great job - the door works wonderfully now and there are no gaps around the edge. He was good-natured, professional, came early, worked quickly, and cleaned everything up afterwards.
Description of Work: Jim Hallmark came and fixed our back door which was dragging and had big gaps all around it. He removed the door, trimmed the top, raised it up, but in a new threshold and door bottom, changed out the deadbolt and put in weather stripping.

Description of Work: Redid hinges on the door and adjusted so door would close correctly. Door was coming apart and re-glued door.
