She is very meticulous in her work, got the job done in one morning which included install, filling the nail holes and painting the molding and feathering the walls below the molding. Friendly, outgoing and easy to work with. I will be working with her in the future to finish the rest of the crown molding in our home once the remodel is finished. I am very happy with the finished product. You will be happy you called her!

+ 0 moreVicki was the most awesome worker that I had ever hired. I can't fault her professionalism or her skills in any way. She is very skilled and takes tremendous pride in doing a perfect job. She also works very fast and and is super focused. She is committed to making sure you are happy and satisfied which is hard to find in so much help today. She was also very reasonable considering we had many difficult corners. The last improvement to our house was carpeting in one room and a hallway using home depot and the installer had to do it over 4 times!!! Two times it was home depots fault. Working with Vicki was like a breath of fresh air after that fiasco. I love the way my loft and hallway now look. I can't wait until I can afford to hire her to begin crown moulding!

Description of Work: Vikki Simons is a reliable, quality-focused licensed and bonded General Contractor with a passion for installing crown molding and custom molding. She was the 5th phone call we made and the only one who returned our phone call after hearing the message we left stating we were in the market for someone to put crown molding throughout our home and install some custom window casings around two large windows. She arrived promptly at our first scheduled meeting and after listening to what we wanted gave us a fair estimate cost of our project. Vikki has a strong knowledge of residential construction/ remodeling techniques, tools, equipment and materials. Vikki told us what her timeline would be and she held true to it. She was punctual and reliable throughout the project. Some of the work was completed before she arrived minimizing the time she needed it be in our home. She personally completed the install on time. She was genuinely commented to her craft and it shows in the beautiful work she does. Now, as we look up at the striking crown molding and out the skillfully encased windows, we are glad those other contractors did not call back! We were very impressed with Vikki Simons’ work ethic, skill level, dependability, organization skill, job knowledge, and her delicious banana bread. Vikki works hard to satisfy her customer and she satisfied us! We would definitely call her again as well as recommend her to anyone who values craftsmanship.

Even then, she helped me tremendously by providing tips and suggestions. I could tell by her suggestions that she is very meticulous and pays attention to details. + -1 moreVikki is very professional and does excellent work. She has a wonderful demeanor and really pays attention to all details. She is a perfectionist when it comes to her craft. Vikki installed crown moulding in several rooms of our house and actually did some additional caulking to help us out with some painters that didn't pay much attention to detail. Vikki does all the necessary prep work and is really willing to put in the extra effort at any time. It was a real joy to work with her and we love the results. All paints matched, you can't really find seams, all corners were cut perfect and it just looks great. Her quote was reasonable and she always accommodated our schedule. I only wish there were more craftsman like her.

+ 0 moreI contacted Vickie for an estimate and Tom Pearson and Steve Hoffman showed up for the work. They looked at the work needed and gave an estimate after a couple days as promised. Promised me an installation day and were on time with excellent quality woodwork. Installed custom maple cabinets to an island expansion, custom maple cabinets to kitchen perimeter, toe kicks, decorator end panels, skins on panels, etc. Solid wood was used for all the work and price was excellent. They accommodated my request of a Saturday installation and cleaned up everything before leaving. Very polite and pleasant gentlemen as well. They have done an excellent job and will definitely hire them again if need be.

+ -1 moreI contacted Vikki regarding the work I needed in a bedroom in my house. She got back to me right away. We scheduled a time for her to come out and give me a price quote. She worked it around my schedule, which I greatly appreciated. She came out, looked at the space and asked me what I was interested in doing. She listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and offered her profession advice. She quoted me a price and told me how long it would take to do the job. She came out at a later date, did the work and finished in the time she said it would take. I'm SO impressed with the work that Vikki has done!! She is very professional, kind, and efficient. She's also very detail oriented which is so important with wood work. It's so hard to find someone that does an amazing job AND is fair. The quality of her work is impeccable. I'm hiring her back next month to do some baseboards in the same room. And honestly, I'll only use her in the future for this type of work. Vikki is amazing!

I'm so rarely ever impressed with work performed on our house but this time I'm completely satisfied. Vikki does all the things you ask for when you have work done on your house. She's: - On time and works long hours - Cleans up everything at the end of each day - Clearly communicates everything to you about the job - Clearly states the job costs ? and reasonable for sure - Master of her craft ? I can't find ever the smallest issue Vikki is a craftsman and really knows her stuff. I can see why she stays so busy and her referral business must be huge. I for one will be calling on Vikki to do some more work for us and will be telling all my friends and family to use her as well. AWESOME job Vikki ? your the best!

Vikki responded to our call promptly and made an appointment to bid the work. She showed up on time and quoted a very fair price. I like to think I demand high quality, though I confess I have been called picky more than once. My philosophy is that one should show up on time and provide excellent service at the agreed upon price. Like many of you, I have struggled to find trades who live those principles. Rest assured that Vikki does. We scheduled the work and she was at our door as promised each day, offered constructive suggestions and did excellent work. She does the work herself with the care and attention to detail that one would hope for from a professional woodworking craftswoman. She kept her work area clean as she moved through the house. All around, an excellent experience. No doubt, I will her Vikki again and I recommend her without any reservations.

+ -1 moreMy wife and I wanted some crown molding so we looked on Angie's List. We preferred a local company and the highly recommended name of VS Woodworks came up. We talked to Vikki Simon and made an appointment to get an estimate, assuming Vikki was part of the staff. Actually Vikki does all the work herself. She has held a general contractors license since 1995. We agreed on a price and set a date. Vikki arrived on time in her pick up loaded with materials and equipment, including a very professional looking cut off saw and several ladders,all of which she unloaded herself. At 5'1? and age 55, Vikki must be the original energizer bunny. She worked straight through for each of two days without any breaks, not even lunch. On week-ends she often participates in the 5 & 10k runs. The quality of her work was outstanding and we were delighted with the results especially considering our high ceilings and the difficult angle cuts required.

+ 0 moreVikki started with a price quote that was lower than we expected for the amount of work that needed to be done. The quality of the work is outstanding. Our home has a lot of unusual corners and vaulted ceilings that required extra expertise and skill. There were no brush marks in the paint, the seams on the crown molding are invisible and the whole job looks wonderful. She showed up on time each day and worked long days by herself to complete the project in the time that she had estimated. We would use her services again and would be happy to recommend her for any crown molding project.
