Everything went according to plan

We got off to a rocky start since Murphy's law the service truck on the first day we were scheduled. But, Ed the owner offered us a quick turnaround date for the rescheduled appointment and compensated us for the missed appointment with some much needed extra service. We had a lot of dust and construction debris in our ducts from remodeling home. Richard, the technician was personable and professional. He explained the entire process as he moved along, which was very reaauring. He also respected our home enough to wear booties to protect the floors and he made sure the heavy equipment was outdoors rather than dragging through the house. Also, the antibacterial they ran through the system was fragrance free and eco friendly. Another air duct cleaning company told us the Simple Green they used would blow through the ducts for two days before it aired out, and they charged twice as much for the same service. It took a few hours to complete the job and we really appreciate that he took the time to be through since I have respiratory sensitivity. Air Duct Pros was a great value and we would use them again. On a personal note I would like to applaude Ed for hiring a disabled vet. My brother retired for the Air Force after 22 years and it is a blessing that he was also able to find a company such as yours that recognized his experience and was willing to extend an opportunity to those who served.

The job took longer than estimated but that was because of the extra repair.

The overall experience was a good one. I bought a special deal but wasn't ready to schedule right away. Someone from the company called a day or two after I bought the deal and when I said I'd need some time he was gracious about it. When he hadn't heard from me in a month he called again to check in, which I was grateful for as it got me back on track. The work went smoothly. I can't remember the name of the guy who came out to do the work, but he was very nice and friendly with me and my overly protective dog. I am satisfied with the work that was done although it took longer than I expected. I think the whole thing probably would have gone a lot faster if we hadn't chatted so much!

I found it strange they showed up in just a plain white van. There was no sign or advertisement for Air Duct Pros.

I had the Angie's list coupon that covered 10 vents and 1 furnace (as well as cleaning of the clothes dryer), and from the time I made the appointment I knew the exact cost for the additional furnace and 17 vents. There were no surprises on the final bill. I arranged for the service tech to come out 2 days after I called, and I was given a 1-hr range when to expect him. The technician, Richard, gave me a call in advance of the 1-hr window to let me know that he'd be here toward the back-end of the window b/c he'd been held up on the prior job. I really appreciated this proactivity; it's not something most service providers do in my experience. He showed up as promised, we walked through the house together to count the vents, and he clearly explained his process for doing the job and how long he expected it to take (4 hrs). It took slightly longer than we expected because almost all of the vents had been painted shut, and that slows down the process of removing them (the pain has to be cut carefully with a razor to keep things looking clean). Richard was extremely professional, hard working, and a pleasure to have in the home for as long as he was here. He explained everything he was doing. At the end, he gave me a lot of great advice on removing unnecessary filters we had that were making the system work harder, and he gave me a thorough tutorial on replacing the filters in the furnaces. As an added bonus he helped us with a central vaccum system in the home we had never used *and* he vacuumed the small basement where the furnace to the point that it was cleaner than it was *before* he came. I will definitely use again in 4 years, when it'll be time to do another thorough cleaning. And in the meantime I can now change the filters on my own. Very, very satisfied.

The owner of the company is nice and responsive. He was thorough and answered all my questions via telephone and email. This is what was supposed to be completed: Removal, cleaning and re-installation of up to 10 air vent registers Agitation & vacuuming inside all air ducts under negative HEPA filtrationClean Sanitizing and servicing of the inside of furnace Cleaning & vacuuming inside the intake or cold air returnInstallation of new furnace filter Sanitizing & deodorizing of the entire HVAC system with organic sanitizer to remove all harmful microbial and odors Free dryer vent cleaning Unfortunately, the quality of the work provided by the technician did not mirror the quality of the customer service provided by the owner. The work was completed in less than an hour. While performing the service, the technician seemed rushed. This is what was completed: Vent covers were removed and the technician inserted the vacuum into the TIPS of the vents. The vents were not brushed out or agitated in any way to loosen or dislodge any debris, accumulated dirt, allergens, pet hair, etc. Vent covers were re-installed. This service was an Angie's List Deal, so only 10 vents were covered. We had 2 additional vents, so the technician charged us $25 extra for each vent. We were required to pay this in cash. When asked for a receipt, the technician told us to get it on Angie's List - that he could not furnish a receipt for the additional vents that were paid in cash. Of course, no receipt for such additional payment or service is available on Angie's List. Again, the owner is very professional and responsive. Conversely, the technician sent out to perform the service did provide thorough service.

I used the Angie's List Coupon for the duct cleaning service. I emailed a request for a service appointment to Ed Mack. Companies who promote services using the Angie's List coupon need to have the following information because they don't know which coupons Angie's List members buy. Ed needed the following information: When was coupon purchased and under what last name. City/ location of job residential or business type of structure: single story or multiple approximate square footage of structure After 3 emails we finally were able to set up an appointment. Ed called me on the telephone number that I listed on our correspondence. He told me what days were available and I was able to select one that was within 3 days of our conversation. Ed was patient and answered all of my questions pertaining to the requested service. He was not sure who would be assigned to come for the job, but he gave me 3 names that would most likely be assigned. On service day, Charles and his assistant showed up at the appointment time of between 10am to 11am. I left my driveway gate opened for his truck so that he can unload the large equipment. They need to have several electrical outlets available for their equipment. He performed the job as described in the coupon. Charles gave a lot of recommendations to maintain my ducts and filter. And he said that my filter was not very dirty, but he would replace it if I wanted it. However, he explained that the type of filter that I bought was much better than the one he uses for the service. Charles just did some minor cleaning of my filter and told me that it should be good for another 3 to 4 months since I don't use my A/C heating that often. As I wrote earlier that he noted the problems I was having with my dryer duct, and that repair was not part of the contract/coupon. He was very patient and explained what I could do to repair it myself that would cost less than his service fee. I appreciate his honesty and professional opinions regarding my situation. He even told me how to clean out my own dryer duct monthly so that I won't have to call them out often. Charles was very pleasant to work with. I will be using their services in 6 - 7 years when my ducts need to be cleaned. I am extremely satisfied with the service performed and the coupon deal was excellent.

I received a prompt acknowledgment of my Big Deal purchase. The serviceman arrived when scheduled and did a thorough and professional cleaning of my air ducts and furnace. I was very pleased with the service and would use Air Duct Professionals again.

The services were performed and extra services were given with no pressure to purchase. The services did take a while to perform which in actuality seemed appropriate. The service provider was great and I will be using them again.

They were on time. Very professional, clean and thorough. My HOA had the ducts cleaned a while before and these guys found a newspaper from 20 years ago in the heat intake vent! So they did a great job cleaning up after the other fellows. They were neat and left the place as nice and as clean as it was before they arrived!

It was quite a while ago, so I don't remember the detalls. But overall, I was very happy with the result and felt my circulating air was cleaneer.

Efficient, professional, and even adjusted the vent to allow more external air flow.

I have a combination of 7 air vent registers, 5 returns and my filter location is on my roof. So, I knew there was more to do than the Deal outlined. The service tech was friendly and did not make a mess of my house, so that was great. My only gripe was that instead of evaluating the job and giving me a rate to do it correctly, what happened was he cleaned the vent registers and left a few of the very dirty returns for me to discover after he left. It would have been better if he gave me an opportunity to pay for the additional work. Also, he did not get up on the roof to install a new filter... but I suppose I'm not so annoyed by that. It is a pain. Overall, really nice guy and the deal was great. I had been quoted $700 for the same job, earlier in the year. The high quote included more sophisticated gear (a sealed vac line from a truck vs. a small portable vac from this job) but honestly, I just wanted to save some money, so this was the way to go. If they were to offer this deal again, I would probably take it. If Angie's list had an A- that would be my true rating. I felt like I got what I paid for, but it would have been better if the job had been completely done.

They did a good job but the vent alarm kept going off and they stayed quite a while to fix it. They moved the flexible vent pipe around until the alarm stopped but it was still very sensitive. After they left we had a lot of trouble with false alarms. However, it turned out that they were not false alarms, there actually was a minor blockage caused by the edges of part of the hard pipe were bent inward. After I replaced that pipe, the false alarms stopped and its been working very well ever since. I guess I would have expected them to identify the actual problem, but its working fine now.

Owner came with his son. They were very professional, friendly, on time, and thorough. They gave a lot of feedback on the condition on the attic and ducts which I appreciated. We just bought the house and heard from neighbors that the previous residents did not keep up the home so I wanted to start fresh. Air coming out of the ducts smells much better. I would definitely use them again.

Pretty Good except they ordered the wrong size air filter. However, when I followed up with the owner of the company he resolved the issue immediately.
