"Our equipment is state of the art and although some of it is not brand new, none of it is beat up. It all performs to the highest standards expected of our trade and the National Air Duct Cleaners Association and comes into your home clean and in proper working order. This particular service vehicle had our company door magnets stolen and are being replaced. The technician was on the phone with the office, but I wasn't for 30 minutes, that's a long time to be talking to someone. The customer said he was sick and didn't want the job done that day. We put everything back as it was and left the home as instructed, without performing any actual work. This was the second time he reset. I think this complaint is more of an identity failure issue more than work performance related, since we did not even perform any work in the home. He is receiving a refund, no questions asked."
The owner of this company, Ed, called me to setup an appointment after I purchased the Big Deal. He was very courteous and friendly. On the day of my appointment, his business partner, Richard, came to perform the service. He came within the given time window. It was raining that day and he made sure he wiped the wheels of his equipment before he brought them inside. From our conversation, I found out that he's been in the business for over 20 years and it shows because he answered all my questions and concerns with such knowledge. He did a great job cleaning my vents. I could actually hear debris(!!) passing through the big vacuum duct connected to the negative suction machine outside as he cleaned the inside of the vents with the motorized brush. The work was finished under 2 hours. And before he left, he made sure he cleaned up and vacuumed the floor at the areas that he has worked on - which I really appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this company and would hire them again in the future.
Ed came promptly in the time frame he had given me and went to work cleaning and sanitizing the air ducts in my house which had had an invasion by mice. He and his team were professional and polite, doing a great job and not trying to sell other services.It was a great use of my money.
They were very easy to work with in terms of getting estimates, scheduling follow up appointments, etc.
They did the work on time and within the agreed to budget.
"I don't know what really happened on this job. We received no complaints from the client. I do know that she had to reset twice, due to scheduling conflicts and family members being sick. I checked and the lifetime filter was delivered on 03/22/12. We did everything promised in our Deal as we do for everyone who purchases it. Our Deal doesn't say we will remove the 'motor' in the FAU (not advisable and completely unnecessary). We clean the INSIDE of the FAU (where it gets dirty from dust accumulation). This particular Deal had nothing to do with exhaust fans or the dryer vent (but I know some other AL vendors do). All of our techs are middle-aged like me and look it. Very rarely is there damage removing a vent register. If there is WE WILL REPAIR IT! I'm not aware of a 'missed' vent or ever going back to clean it. I was not aware that there were communication problems or quality issues on this job or had I known, they would have been resolved immediately."
Angies list should have a test run with anybody they use for the Deal of the day. They should also make sure the service company can handle the work and capable of completing the jobs they do tak on.
"WHOA! We don't have any record of this customer at all. This has to be a mistaken identity. I have no idea what this is all about and we NEVER 'farm' out work."
"Thank you for giving us A's and B's in Quality, Professionalism and Punctuality. May I refresh your memory though? The original appointment was rescheduled, due to a mechanical malfunction on our service vehicle . I apologize for that. But we didn't really COME BACK TO 'FIX' DUCTS (makes it sound like we did some damage). A lot of your ductwork was in need of repair work, which we performed that same day, to your satisfaction."
