Matthew did a great job. He arrived early, charged a very reasonable price (I got a much higher quote from another vendor), cleaned up (shredding wood is messy) and was very pleasant and easy to work with. The shredded stumps will make great mulch for my yard. His grinding machine needs 36 inches clearance, which meant he had to remove the gate on my fence, but he replaced it when he was done. I appreciate vendors who will communicate via email, which he does. I would hire Matthew again without hesitation.

Mr. Matthew Morgenstern came out to our residence and did a first rate job. He removed a Nopales Cactus tree stump, by grinding the stump straight out of the ground. He then used a blower to remove all of the debris, which had blown on to the side walk. He left the place cleaner, than when he first arrived! In addition, Mr. Morgenstern first came to us and made an estimate. He was punctual and well under the price quoted by Atlas Tree Service, which refused to send an estimator. The guy's name is Matt. I like him very much. We had a little bit of problem at first getting in contact with each other because the company that gives the e-mail or left me a voice mail was not functioning properly, but after we got through that, he was fine. He did such a wonderful job. I had a stump removed by somebody else. This guy knows what he is doing so much better than the other guy.

I called them for a quote and they came out during the day to check out the work. Called back promptly with a price so we set a date for the work. They came out as scheduled and removed 2 big oleander stumps and another tree stump. They did not damage any other nearby plants and the wood chips were mostly incorporated into the dirt where the stumps had been - no mess at all. I would definitely use them again.

I had to leave a message and he called back late that afternoon. He was available the next day and offered to do the estimate without my being present. But I wanted to be present and had to schedule for 2 days later. He arrived exactly on time. I'm glad I was present because I needed to show him criticle features of the yard that impacted the work. The stump is located in a confined area. He is unable to remove the stump without also removing a mature Japanese Aralia that was in the path to the stump. If I was willing to sacrifice the Aralia, he quoted a price of $150 to grind the stump and surface roots down to 14 inches. He has a 1,000 lb grinder so he needs adequate access for his equipment. As far as stump removal goes the price is excellent. Other companies quoted $200 to $300.
