+ -1 moreThe job was performed satisfactorily and promptly however the cost was almost double the estimate. When I asked why I was told that the additional $617.00 was for the new 280 feet of 3/10 gauge, 220 Volt wire that was used when installing the new pipe. I then asked what was wrong with the old wire. Nothing really was the response, we just thought you would want new wire. So now I'm stuck with 280 feet of rusty galvanized pipe that I can't use and 280 feet of wire that I could have purchased for 1/3 of what I was billed.
Description of Work: I was given a quote of $750.00 to replace a 280 foot galvanized pipe in my well with the equivalent length in PVC plastic. After the work was completed I received a bill for $1267.31 which was in addition to the $100.00 deposit already paid in advance for the estimate.
