The repairman called forty minutes prior to the actual scheduled time to confirm the appointment and to get approval to arrive early (within the next five minutes). Approval was given, however, fifty minutes later the repairman still hadn't arrived which resulted in my calling him directly to see where he was. He stated that he had arrived at the given address but no one was home. It turned out that he had mis-read his own writing and had went to the wrong house even though he did indeed have the right address written down. Okay, but he should have then called me back to verify the correct address considering that he had just confirmed with me fifty minutes earlier. He didn't. He eventually arrives about 20 minutes after the originally scheduled appointment time. The repair to the duct, which is located in the crawl space under the house, is completed within the previously stated sixty minute estimated repair time. After completing the repair, the repairman notifies me that he has completed the job, makes a recommendation concerning the heating plenum chamber, takes payment via a phone call to his office, and then departs. After the repairman departed, I entered the crawl space to inspect his work. The repair is impossible to fully inspect due to limited space and the fact that the far side of the new duct work is abutted up against a cement slab. Regardless, the repair seems adequate and I was satisfied with the work. However, immediately upon entering the crawl space, I was dismayed to find that the repairman had left the moderately large box, (approximately 36 in by 8 by 8) which had contained the replacement ducting. In addition, he had left two pieces of the old 5 or 6 inch diameter sheet metal duct work (approximately 3ft each) in the crawl space as well as some discarded sealing tape and duct instruction page. Finally, he did not re-bolt the crawlspace door to the house like he had originally found it.
Description of Work: Replaced approximately six feet of sheet metal heating duct that had been rusted through in the crawl space under the house.
