Airway Heating & Air Conditioning

Well, I had purchased a 20 point maintenance/inspection for my air conditioning unit and was told that the condenser would ultimately need to be replaced. This was fine, because the unit wasn't starting/working on it's own due to the fact that it was an old unit. Scott and Joe somehow got the old unit working, albeit in a MacGyver sort of fashion, IE, screwdriver to kickstart the condenser's fan and motor. This was great because it held me over a few days during a really nice heatwave until they could change out the unit. They swapped out the unit on a ridiculously hot day about four or five days after the inspection. The Unit definitely needed to be swapped out and the house has never felt as good as it does now. Didn't realize how much the old unit was failing us until Scott and Joe changed it out. It works great and a month later i've had absolutely no problems with the AC system. I would go through them again if and when I have to.

Scott and Joe called to say they could come earlier than originally scheduled which worked out fine for me. They were both very professional. Scott answered all of our questions and made suggestions. Price was very reasonable and we would certainly call them again. This was actually the second time we used their service, last time was our thermostat and heating system. That was why we used them again and were just as pleased this time as last time. We would definitely recommend them to others.

Team arrived on time and were courteous and informative. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and gave me some tips to extend the life of my system.

Okay, I usually don't write reviews, however, the service I received from Scott and his staff was so incredible I was compelled to tell others. Scott and his staff were so professional, considerate, and made a lasting impression with me that I would recommend them to everyone I know and those I don't. He was very knowledgeable and gave me an excellent price on a new a/c unit. He worked all day and followed up with me to make sure I was 100% satisfied (which I was). I would highly recommend using his company if you want professionalism and excellent prices. Look no further...Scott and his team are the company to use!!!

Showed up on time and was able to quickly repair a broken central AC/furnace that another tech I'd called said he couldn't do. Serviced AC unit once it was working an added freon. All the work was done quickly and professionally.

As always Scott was on time and provided great work. He assessed the situation, the issue was not the vent but that the unit needed to be cleaned. He and his associate cleaned and checked to insure more Freon wasn't needed. Everything is working great and it only took about 30 mins. Would recommend to anyone in need of HVAC work.

We had a 12-3pm window. Scott and company arrived just before 1pm. I explained that the units (we have 2) were working but it didn't feel as cold as previous years. They went right to work. During the inspection they immediately found the condensate drain was plugged and was causing condensation to revert to overflow and that was why water would drop on my head when I went outside. Thank God that was found before it caused drywall damage or insulation damage due to the condensation build up. They continued with the maintenance and found both units low on refrigerant and both duel capacitors low on microfarads. I asked what one was most crucial to fix right now and Scott explained that the coolant was what was needed most. I decided to have him add the refrigerant and reschedule for after the first of the month to have capacitors replaced. The cost of the maintenance was $118.00 for both units and the cost of refrigerant was $200.00 per unit. Total cost $518.00. The cost quoted to replace the capacitors next month is $150.00 per unit. I was very happy with Scott's professionalism and the time he took to explain to me what he found and why it is important to do preventative maintenance. Not only will we have them back to finish the work on these units but will have them come to do the P/M on our heating units as well. I feel comfortable in saying that I believe we will use this company for all our heating and air needs in the foreseeable future.

I was pleased with Scott & Joe with Airway Heating & AC. They arrived when promised and performed the tune up. They were professional, personable and very thorough. I actually enjoyed a service call! They pointed out a potential dangerous problem and all was repaired & replaced before they left. Have not had a service performed on our AC for several years and since the service call our AC seems to be working more efficiently.

Work was done thoroughly, professionally and competently.

BEWARE! Scott and assistant were on time and at the end of an otherwise "everything is OK" service, they told me the fan motor was bad (blades were spinning in the wrong direction) and it would be $475 to put in a new one. The new one spun backwards and they recommended replacing the whole outdoor unit (for $3000). Two consultations later followed by a service call from Tony of Danny's Appliances, the two wires that had been switched on a capacitor were set right and the fan worked as it should. Tony charged $50 (on a late Saturday afternoon call) and was spot on. Airway was either scamming (the opinion of two HVAC contractors that were consulted) or totally incompetent for someone who claimed to have been in the business for 19 years. We got them through an Angie's List deal offered on Groupon, so be verrrrry careful.

Explained everything they were doing, allowed me to see what the results of the tests were.

It went GREAT. They performed a 20 point preventative inspection on our central air conditioning. They found nothing wrong with it. Showed us all the equipment readings and explained to us what is considered to be normal. Also explained to us the air conditioning process.

Wonderful service. Scott was the third bid I acquired. I contacted two other companies associated with Angie's List and received A ratings. One of the firms originally listed the quote as twice as high and tried to "sell" me on additional products and services. Scott came In and stated the exact product I needed, no more, no less. and offered a price I received with a third quote. His detail of quote was clear and informative. What really convinced me to select Airway and Scott, was his ability to establish a comfortable relationship with his customers, professional, yet friendly and humorous. His communication was always prompt and direct. He arrived on time, worked diligently, as did his co-worker, Joe, explained clearly the activities taking place, and cleaned up. I would definitely looking to have HVAC work done to contact Airway Heating and Air.

Well, this is an old house and to my knowledge the A/C had been there 30 years or more. The furnace had been replaced 10 yrs. ago. The house had been a rental for 25 yrs. Although the A/C was still running I decided to replace it because I was renovating the rest of the house. I needed the old condenser removed from the side of the house so I could have a new concrete pad put in. So, Scott from Airway came out and removed it. As soon as the concrete was cured he brought out the new condenser and installed it. However, it didn't work as it was supposed to. Scott investigated and found the old evaporater wasn't working up to par. He and his employee had to scrape it with a WIRE BRUSH to get as much of the gunk out as they could. Turns out the people who had lived there the last 6 yrs. had been running the furnace and A/C WITHOUT A FILTER. People were supposed to move in the next day and we were having some really hot days. Anyhow, Scott got it cleaned out enough so it would work a few days so the people wouldn't have to move into a hot house.Then he brought out a new evaporater. He installed it and it would not work! It was a lemon. He had to go pick up another one. He and his partner workd all day getting the new evaporato up and running. I really felt sorry for them. It was hot in that garage and he had other committments that he couldn't get to. He stuck to it and got it all fixed. I would definitely hire him again. In fact, I am going to have him service my A/C here at my home.

AC quit working on the hottest day of the year. Called Scott, he was able to squeeze me in and found the issue. After he repaired that, he cleaned off the coils on the ac unit outside for no charge. Gave me an upfront estimate, and gave me advice on a future issue I may need to address. Polite, friendly and knows his business. I could tell right away this is the right guy to work on your ac or heater system. I do recommend this highly professional and trustworthy company

He kept me updated as to arrival time and was let me know about each step and got my approval beforehand. He was not only very professional, but very thoughtful and considerate! Much appreciated :)

Called Scott at 10:15 this morning. He arrived at 11:00am as promised. Discussed non operation of the air conditioner. Scott inspected the unit and determined that insects became stuck and burned in the contacts.While the contact unit was still useable, I had the option to replace or live with the vibration of the burned unit. I chose to replace it. There was no pressure from Scott. Contact unit was replaced without incident and he checked the unit for proper functioning. Scott also pointed out an improper drain pipe and explained how to repair it. It was a pleasure to have Scott do the work for us. We will certainly use Airway Heating and Air Conditioning in the future, and recommend Airway to our friends.

I called Scott on Monday to schedule a service call for my HVAC system in my rental. He scheduled for Tues morning. He and his partner arrived at my house exactly on time, which was important to me as I live 2 hours away, and began checking out the system. After a thorough cleaning of the unit, he checked the temps, pressures, air flows, and functions and pronounced it in good shape. I couldn't be happier. You can not find a more professional, prompt, courtious, knowlegable, and fair HVAC contractor anywhere. I would highly recommend.

I called Airway at 10:30 AM and explained that our heating system was not working. Scott scheduled us for 3:00 PM that afternoon. He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem, gave us an estimate and performed the repair. Our heater was up and running by 3:30! While performing the repairs Scott noticed that the blower fan was very dirty and he cleaned it for us at no additional cost. I would describe Airway 's service as professional, high quality, friendly and fast at a reasonable price. I will definitely call Airway the next time I need HVAC service.

Everything went well. They were done in less then 2 hours.
