The company is owner operated. The guy is really good. I got him out of the phone book. He happened to be the very first ad under Electricians. His ad actually caught my eye so I got him and I really was pleased with his work. The ad stood out in the yellow pages. The majority of the ads are just yellow. There are a few colored ads. This one had a red lightning bolt that divided the rectangle and then it was black and white so it just stood out and it was local. That's another reason I used him. I like to try using local people. He has been in the business for 26 years as an electrician. He does give senior discounts and he does both commercial and residential work. I liked his honesty about what the work would entail. He felt there were certain things that were going to be a little more difficult based on the slope where the roof had started. He actually went up into the eaves before making the quote for me. He actually inspected the area to work in. He made certain recommendations on the types of switches we were going to use. The one thing I noticed was he was really a perfectionist. When we had the drop lights put in, he wanted to make sure that they were lined up with the room and that they both were exactly the same height from the ceiling and so on. He did a good clean-up. I would use his services again in the future without a doubt. He has already made a recommendation on how we can trade out our drop lights or our candle lights in the kitchen which are now CFCs into dimmers. That's something in the future we might use. I have already talked to neighbors about him. He is a gentleman too. We have 2 accesses to the attic and one there is a firewall and he really couldn't have gotten through so he said he had to go through the closet and go all the way across the attic to access the front of the house for our kitchen. He was almost right on in terms of how many hours it was going to take. He said the job would take 6 hours and I think it took him 5½ hours to do it. Although he probably has an hourly rate, he gave me a quote for the whole job. Had he gone 7 hours or so I am pretty much sure that we would have paid whatever his quote was.
Description of Work: AC Electric installed a fan, lights, and some teardrop lights in the kitchen about a month ago.
