+ -1 moreRobert was very punctual and available. He got back to me when others had not. The work was very well done and very professional. Very good work. I thought it was a little on the pricey side. It seemed like I paid for it being a small job and kinda last minute.
Description of Work: Recently I've used Robert's Handy Service for construction. He did some brick laying for me. I just paid him for a job yesterday.It was like a day and a half of work. Mostly concrete works, cinder blocks, and brick laying. it cost about 900 bucks.

+ 2 moreI got Robert's card on my door in Redondo Beach. Robert came right out to estimate the work. He is not licensed but very knowledgeable and he speaks good English. He said he's built many houses and he seemed to know the code and what was necessary structurally. I told him that he could do however much he was comfortable with. I emphasized that I needed the pony wall removed within the next 4 days so new hardwood floors could be laid. Robert said he'd call the following day with an estimate broken down by project and that he could remove the wall. I didn't hear from him for two days so I called him. He apologized for not calling and said he'd show up Monday morning (the next day) to remove the wall. He never showed up or called. I frantically located someone else to do the work and my flooring contractor was aggravated. I never heard from Robert again.
Description of Work: I was moving into a new house and had several major and minor repairs and changes to make. The majors were removal of a loft in the garage and construction of a new loft and erection of garage cabinets. I needed a pony wall removed, electrical re-routed, and pavers installed. I also had a long list of minor items.
