BETTY BLUE AGENCY

On December 26, 2015 Maria from Betty Blue came to my home to collect her fee for providing us a housekeeper. She was supposed to bring the housekeeper with her. We had already interviewed several housekeepers, so we knew which one Maria would be bringing. When Maria arrived, she said the housekeeper was busy that day and since it was the holiday season and the woman wasn't going to start work until January 4, 2016 it wasn't an issue. On January 3, 2016 we received a phone call from the housekeeper stating that she was sick. I spoke to Maria at the agency the following day, Monday. She said the woman was extremely ill and she'd report to work once she was well. On Wednesday, January 6, 2016 I again spoke with Maria at the agency, the lady was getting better so we agreed to have her start on Monday January 11, 2016. On Saturday January 9, 2016 I again spoke with Maria at Betty Blue to confirm the lady was starting on Monday January 11, 2016. She assured me the lady would arrive at my home by 8:00 AM Monday January 11, 2016. Well, that didn't happen. After the woman was more than 20 minutes late, I called the lady and it was at that time she informed me she was again sick and that she had spoken to Maria at Betty Blue and Maria was aware that she wouldn't be showing up for work. I told woman don't bother showing up, after all I don't want an irresponsible employee. I then called Betty Blue to complain and got a machine. More than an hour later I have yet to get a call back even after leaving a second message. When was somebody going to call me to inform me no housekeeper was coming to work today? SEVENTEEN days after receiving my check for the agency fee I have yet to have a housekeeper to show up and do one minute of work. In the meantime, the clock is ticking on my warranty and Maria can't even call back to apologize and send me a responsible worker. I feel as if I've been conned. This is the LAST time I'm using Betty Blue and I've been using them for YEARS, in fact the housekeeper that works two days a week we got from her 20 years ago. However, the reason we contacted Betty Blue again is that housekeeper is getting old and she has health issues and said she'd stay until we got somebody else.

Good. I've called them a few times and they always send good people. The first person they sent wasn't a great fit for me. The second person was great but she is also a nanny and isn't available all the time. When I moved, I called them again and they sent a third person who was really good.

When I booked the maid service they quoted me $20 an hour and I gave them my CC. I thought they were holding it for security. They still billed me after I had already paid them for the job. I gave the maid a fairly generous payment that was $70 for 3 hours and then I saw a charge for $100.00. I was double charged.

We used them once before and the service was acceptable. This time, however, they quoted a price that seemed much higher. When I asked them what was different from the last time (why so much higher for the recent other job) they told me that this time I needed to pay an "agency" fee of $50 and that the person actually doing the work would receive $100. Paying an "agency" fee of 33% is really unreasonable. They told me that was their only profit margin. I challenged that and asked if they were paying their cleaning person $25 per hour, which of course they are not so it's not as though there is no margin for them in their price. Unfortunately for them, their $50 agency fee just lost them a good repeat customer. My company will look elsewhere for a reliable cleaner for repeat business. Some company's just don't get it. You can't just charge whatever you want and just assume people will pay it especially in this economy.

I was misled over the terms of this transaction. I asked for a one-time service, was asked for a $50.00 credit card deposit (no problem) and was not told I was supposed to pay the cleaner directly. When I called to inquire about payment, I was told they had set up an on-going account for me at a cost of $100.00, and I should set up my next appointment for the service. After much discussion, I agreed to the original $50.00 deposit and sent a check directly to the cleaner for her service. I believe to charge $50.00 just to send a cleaner to the house was totally unnecessary and unprofessional. I will not use the Betty Blue Agency again, although the young lady did an excellent job.

House cleaner showed up on time. Did a beautiful job! I requested someone that was detailed and took their time. I have had bad experiences in the past where the cleaner raced through my home, broke objects and put holes and dents in walls and furniture. This representative from Betty Blue was great! Asked her to wipe out the refrigerator and she cleaned the entire refrigerator;shelves and bins! I have asked her to return every two weeks and feel this was the best experience I have ever had with house cleaning. She even took her shoes off. I can not get my husband to do that! Yeah!!!!

Irma showed up on time, was meticulous, and did a fantastic job. She is very pleasant and we have asked her to come back on a weekly basis.

The maid arrived on time. I didn't get to ask her about her experience as I was in a hurry to leave for a trip, and also because I assumed the cleaning job is simple enough. As I was going in and out of the house, she started cleaning up the kitchen, but I saw that she was cleaning EVERYTHING with Windex, from kitchen counter, stove top, sink, etc. I was stunned! After 5 hours of cleaning, she finished the entire bottle of Windex, and I had to wipe the kitchen again with water, just to make sure I won't get poisoned by Windex later.

Great. Maria is thorough & a attentive. She's not defensive about receiving instructions. She even told me to let her know if she's not doing something how I want it. I highly recommend this company. What I didn't understand at first is once they send you someone, you deal with that person if you want to continue, not with Betty Blue. Sometimes I would call the agency, but wouldn't hear back from them. It would've helped if they explained this up front.

She was able to take direction. She wasn't fast, but was easy to work with. The price was good and she was friendly. The cost is for 5 hrs.

I spoke to Lucy to set up our appointment. She asked if I had the cleaning supplies or did the person have to bring them. I asked her what I would need to supply, as I don't know what they are accustomed to using and what they have found to be the most effective. I also asked about the price. I could never pin her down. She kept saying it would be OK, not to worry. She said she would call me back. I never got a call, and in the chaos of the move, never thought about it again until the appointment. Lucy sent Sara out to my house on the appointed day and time. She was pretty much on time and spoke very little English, but was willing to work with my broken Spanish. She had no cleaning supplies and ours had gotten packed. So I scrambled around to find some and finally did. She cleaned straight for probably 8 hours! Never took lunch. Was fabulous.

It went fantastic. She worked all day and was very meticulous and did a fabulous job. I would definitely use this service again, even for something other than cleaning windows. Very honest and hardworking!!!

The person who was assigned to come and clean our house did not show up at the specified time. Because she was late, I called her and was informed that she had a situation come up and was unable to clean our house. At first, I was quite annoyed that this had occurred, especially since we were expecting company in-town the next day and she hadn't called to inform us that she wasn't coming. However, I called the agency and they arranged for an emergency appointment with another cleaner. Despite my annoyance, I was very impressed by their responsiveness to the situation and their ability to send out an alternative cleaner. The emergency cleaner came later that afternoon and cleaned our place, so everything turned out alright in the end. She was a nice lady, but she didn't bring any cleaning materials with her--perhaps because it was an emergency situation. I ended up going out and buying the materials needed. Her cleaning was satisfactory and the price was pretty reasonable.

After my initial call I received a same-day call back and set up a cleaning. One of the things I really like is that it is one person (instead of an ever-changing team) and you make the check directly out to her (rather than the company). Marta came to my home as scheduled and cleaned all day while I was at work. When I came home with my kids at about 6:00 pm I was surprised to still see her. She told me she'd been at it since 9:00 am. My house was embarrassingly in great need of a cleaning. She wrapped things up rather quickly so we could eat dinner. After she left I got a close look at everything. I was and am impressed at the level of detail. Yesterday I contracted for her to come clean every 2 weeks. What a relief to have this chore off my plate and to trust that it will be done well!

Mariam was here for approximately four and a half hours, worked the whole time and was very pleasant. This was a one time deal because my regular cleaning lady couldn't come and was $70.00 instead of $60.00 for regular service. I would definitely use Betty Blue again and request Mariam. Cookie was very responsive before we had the work done and sent someone out quickly (2 days notice requested). When we called for a follow up however, it took 3 calls from us before she responded. Otherwise, very satisfied.

THEY'RE AN A, VERY GOOD. YOU CAN CALL THEM AND TELL THEM EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED IN YOUR HOME. THEY WILL HOOK YOU UP WITH THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE RIGHT NEEDS FOR YOUR HOME. THE PEOPLE WERE GOOD THAT THEY SENT OUT. THEY ALWAYS WORK HARD TO ADDRESS CONCERNS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE ABOUT THE SERVICE.
