They are local and we have known them for years. He came by several times to try an isolate the problem. He finally figured out what it is. He didn’t push anything on us. He was just finding the best least expensive way to solve the problem. The price has always been very reasonable. He had come here once or twice when we weren’t here and we didn’t even know about it to try different things. He gets tied up in other jobs and there were times when he was late or came in the next morning.

I have been using The Comfort Man for about ten years. They do all of my maintenance and servicing. He is very nice and reliable. He is very popular so I do have to wait in line for an appointment with him. He is usually punctual, but there have been times he has gotten caught at another job and had to move my appointment. He is very honest and inexpensive. He never overcharges anyone. He does a very thorough job when he comes out and really looks at everything.

The very first time we used it, it failed to cool the house and we were stuck at 80 degrees for the 1st few hours. The lowest we could ever get our air down to was 78 degrees. We immediately called Kevin but our calls were ignored and It took 2 weeks and several no shows before he finally came back to the house. Then he suggested some more duct work was needed (turned out there was no duct in kitchen and he hadn't noticed that when he bid the job) he tried to charge me more money to do the repair work! I refused to pay him a penny more, and he begrudgingly agreed to do the work. To cut a very long story short, a year later and many many frustrating phone calls, threatening letters etc. and the air still doesn't work properly. He now tells me I should be satisfied with air temp that won't go below 78 degrees. He thinks that is a comfortable temperature, and that there is nothing more he can do to help me. I got a 2nd opinion who found a large number of installation errors ranging between basic sloppiness to downright dangerous, for example safety shut off temperature probes not installed and left dangling and a whole host of other things too technical to get into here. The worst part of this whole experience has been the days spent waiting around for him to show up, scheduling screw ups with his staff, and him trying to *expletive* me into believing that I should be happy with a non-working air conditioning system.
