Aaron showed up on time, pulled oven out, and fixed it in a half hour. Diagnosed the problem immediately and remedied it. Bet he wasn't even here a half hour. I'm in love!!!

Description of Work: Got them through AHS. Did have to call when they didn't call me within the 24 hours. Guy came and didn't have the part to fix the dryer. So he had to order it (heating element I think). After a week I called and was told he was on his way. He did fix it but they dryer has a grinding noise now when it turns. But at lest it works.

This provider was available 24/7. He came out that evening - the mother board needed to be replaced. I paid with my credit card for the $100 visit, and he instructed the tenants how to survive until he could get the part. He called on Monday, told me he would have the part on Tuesday and gave me the full amount remaining to be charged to my card, when the installation was complete; I agreed, allowing him to make installation appt. directly with the tenant. During dinner on Tuesday, he installed the part and then tried to call me for payment (which I thought I'd already handled) and refused to leave my tenant's home until he received payment when I was unavailable. I thought I had already agreed to the charges and provided my card, but he made my tenants pay him before he would leave. Very awkward. I understand that the misunderstanding was partly my fault, but he should have been much more clear (I didn't even know what time he was meeting my client, so how could he expect that I would be available to him at that time?). He was available when I needed him and seems to know his stuff, so I recommend that if you use him, be very clear about the details up front.

With my first visit with the owner at the tenants home, I diagnosed that the refrigerator needed a main board and that when I come back to do the repairs, That all I needed was a credit card # over the phone so that way it would be convenient for the owner to not meet me at the tenants house..The Owner agreed to this..Now [removed member name] swiped her card on my machine on the 1st visit & I had no physical record of her credit card #, (As I did explain this at length with [removed member name] before this review)..I also explained to [removed member name] that since this is the 1st time doing business with me that I will call her when I am done with the repair at the tenants house at the tenants convenience So that way, [removed member name] knows that I am honestly done with the repairs, and the refrigerator is working again, So [removed member name] can feel good about Paying me for the repairs over the phone....My only instructions were to do the repairs at the tenants convenience (which I did ) & to call [removed member name] (owner) when I was done to get paid with a credit card over the phone so that way [removed member name] wouldnt have to leave the comfort of her home....I was really trying to make this convenient for [removed member name]....What happend was is that [removed member name] left her phone off the entire evening...So I asked her tenant to try and get ahold of [removed member name], The tenant texted [removed member name] and called her multiple times...Still no answer...Again the tenant tried to get ahold of [removed member name] husband, and [removed member name] husband didnt know why [removed member name] wasnt answering her phone either...I was very patient and proffessional this entire time..I just dont know [removed member name] and My concern was that (oh know, I put in this very expensive part & the owner wasnt holding up her part of the bargain by freely being available so I can get paid) So while i was waiting, [removed member name] husband called back to the tenant & couldnt get ahold of [removed member name] husband didnt have any way of paying me over the phone....So now we are in a pickle, What do we do....This has happend to me before Good & Bad experiences....& the only way that this would work( to secure payment) is if the tenant could just write me a check for the balance on this job and then when [removed member name] made herself available, I could either return the check to the tenant after [removed member name] gave me her credit card over the phone, or [removed member name] could just reinburse the tenant...with the paid receipt I had left the tenants...The tenants had no problem with paying me for the repairs and knew that [removed member name] would reinburse them...Now I dont know, I just met her, & just meeting someone doesnt gaurantee that they will pay me for the work once I am done....I tried to make this job as convenient as possible for her, I tried to build her trust by not writing down any credit card numbers, & just swiping her card...I wanted this customer to know that I can do a good job and that she can trust me when she is not around & I am doing repairs at her tenants home.....1st time experiences are very important, & I did my best...[removed member name] did call me, & I spoke to her about this experience before typed out this review... did apologize that she wasnt available, also acknowledged that she left her phone off the entire evening....I proffessionally & at length reminded [removed member name] of our conversation at the tenants home, concern was that she didnt want to have to meet me at the tenants home and just wanted to pay with a credit card....The only part that didnt realise is that no one wrote down her credit card # it was swipped in for Security and Trust purposes...& wasnt available when She needed to be so that I can recieve Payment...My bells & Whistles went off when I was at the tenants house and [removed member name] Husband couldnt even get ahold of [removed member name].....So, Apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused [removed member name] because she was unavailable...I was really trying to make this very convenient...The refrigerator is working great, the tenants were very pleased that I was able to be at there house in the evening for there convenience, and they didnt lose any food & the tenants husband is a manager at a tire store that now He will earn my business...Every experience helps me become a better service tech....The only way that this could have been prevented is if I would have received payment over the phone before doing the work., so that way if [removed member name] was unavailble to let her know that I was completed with the work, I know that I was paid....& also come up with a back up plan with the owner & I have done this before....If the owner is unreachable (like this case) the tenant will just pay us and the owner will reimburse them....That way it gaurantees payment.....I will (going forward with tenant owner repairs like this) make sure that if the owner doesnt want to pay me in advance and if he is unavailable, that the tenant will make sure that I get paid and the owner at his convenience pay his tenant....I appreciate this review....I apologize again to [removed member name] for any inconvenience.....I will just work harder at being a better tech.....Thankyou...

We called owner on 12/20/13 early AM to fix our Washer Machine which was not spinning the clothes properly on final spin left clothes wet, and he said he would send someone out or he would be out to fix it within that afternoon. He ended up sending his father whom started to take apart our dryer and we had to stop him and tell him we called about our washer not our dryer, he looked at then said he did not know how to test these newer washers and asked to take our washer service manual and then insisted we pay a $55.00 Diagnostic fee which for a Diagnostic we never got? He said he would come back same day or his son would to fix it. Never came we called and told his son (owner) what happened he said he would be out the next day to for fix it and meanwhile he would talk to sears explain issues with washer to find out what part may need (never gave us a price of estimated part and any other installing fees) he came out on 12/21/13 still would not give us a price and he put in the Actuator which we priced at sears as well which cost $56.90 he charged us additional $100.00 for part + $60.00 for labor to put in additional to the $55.00 "diagnostic" we never got = $215.00. Washer does work but we did not plan on spending that much money and would of liked an honest quote not just charge us for what they assume we can afford, What if I did not have they money? What would they of done?
Description of Work: Never gave me a diagnostic, they went to Sears and asked them what kind of issues they had on our specific Washer Type and they assumed that was issue after charging us twice for one service call on Day after we needed our Washer fixed.

On behalf of Prolite Appliance, I do appologize for any miss communication during the repair process, this is Holiday rush hour season, I had a flood of calls, & I usually go out on these repairs, but because of My busy schedule,I sent out my dad...of Course he is an old timer & on this paticular model he did not know how to do repairs..But I was contacted and new right away what needed to be replaced...I drove out to the parts house and picked up their last part on this washer during crazy holiday traffic, So this customer can wash clothes on this christmas holiday & I did the necessary repairs..All worked great...As I understood before I left, the customer was pleased and happy with work done...I did not know the experience with what happened with my dad..I would have refunded the customer the 55.00 disability discount diagnosis fee if He would have asked me, because of his disspleased experience with my dad...As far as the part is concerned, this is the price that I charge, the availability was immediate, during the busiest time of the year, There was only one left at the parts house, & no one had to wait 7- 10 days to have washer fixed...I warrantied the part for 90 days...I really am doing my best at taking care of this customer..& I will personally call this customer and bring over the 55 dollar disability discount fee today... I am not perfect, & I really do work hard at trying to take care of all my customers...I work hard at being honest & upfront with all my customers...I will work even harder at making sure this type of experience doesnt happen again...I want all my customers to be happy...Thats why I am going to personally deliver & refund the 55dollar disability diagnosis fee....

I called on a Saturday and Aaron came right over to diagnose my clothes dryer that was not heating. He had to order the non typical part and came back after hours the following Monday and got it working. We are grateful for his attention to detail and our time frame.

We had a broken i.e. maker for about a year. We had another service provider come in to fix it last year. He came about 4 times with parts, ect. He never fixed it and it was an expense. We called PROLITE. When Aaron came over her kew exactly what was wrong! He came the next day with the parts and our ice maker is working! Also he advised us about how to prevent breakdowns with our refrigerator.
