CAPPS FLOOR COVERINGS

Company went out of business.

They said that they had to order the flooring and required a 50% down deposit. They said that they would contact us in two weeks to set up the install. After that we did not hear from Hal Capps. Which is odd because when he was trying to get our business he called us at least 50 times! So we contacted them to ask about setting up the appointment. Finally we they called us to tell us the flooring was in and that we should have all the furniture moved out of the living and dining room so they could start the removal of the carpet and install the floor. On Monday one person, a kid about 21 years old said he was the flooring installer, turned out to be Hal Capps son in law! That day he removed all the carpet and I had expected them to also start installing the floor. Then the call came from Capps who said there was a mistake, the floor was not actually in, it was in San Jose CA. But assured me that it would be delivered the next day. Thirty minutes later he called back to tell me the espresso colored flooring we ordered was out of stock! So we could either wait eight weeks or we could pick another color wood. We did not want to wait so we picked another colored wood. He said it would be delivered the next day. Four days later it showed up. The son in-law started on the following Saturday morning installing the floor in the living room. With 25 % of the floor done he runs out of glue. Said he would not be able to come back till the following Monday. On Monday he returned and got 50% of the living room done before he ran out of wood! He had to get more wood delivered!!! They ended up finishing the living room the following week and started on the dining room and again ran out of wood. Hal Capps, at that point said he did not agree to do the dining room?!! That is the reason why he ran out of wood. In short, I made him repair the new tiles his installer broke and finish the dining room floor then kicked him out. We hired another flooring installer(Dean) to do the stairs. He did a WONDERFUL JOB and finished the stairs in one day! Never again will I used Capps Flooring, thinking about the experience still upsets me.

Completed work as arranged, very clean and tidy. Excellent service.

THE PRICE OF THIS JOB WAS JUST GREAT. IT WASN'T AS EXPENSIVE AS I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE. I ALSO LIKED THE FACT THAT THE WHOLE CREW KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING.

I WAS COMPLETELY NOT SATISFIED WITH THE COMPANY OR SERVICE. THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD COME BACK AND FIX THE MISTAKES THAT THEY MADE AND THEY NEVER DID. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM AGAIN.

THEY ARE A GREAT COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE AND PERSONABLE. I ENJOYED TALKING WITH THE MEN WHO DID IT BECAUSE THEY WERE VERY EASY TO GET ALONG WITH.
