ALVARADO STEVE CONSTRUCTION & ROOFING

I live in a 70 year old house with a tile roof. I've never done anything to the roof in the 7 years I've lived here. At the end of last season's very short rainy period, I noticed a small leak in my dining room. It promptly stopped raining (the drought) and I put off worrying about it this late this summer. I got Steve's name from a friend of mine who was familiar with him. Coincidentally, I also received his name from another contractor I used to replace my backyard fence. Steve came to my house promptly as promised, looked at the problem area and suggested that some of the tiles on my roof needed to be re-positioned and my room valleys cleaned. He gave me an estimate which was reasonable in relation to another I received. (As another reviewer noted, it is Steve's practice to give a variance of a couple hundred dollars). I hired Steve to do the job. On the day set for the repairs, Steve and his team appeared as scheduled and completed the work promptly. They cleaned up after themselves. He ended up charging me right in the middle of the range he gave me, and he explained why he needed to come up a bit from the low end of the estimate. The only minor complaint I have is that the young man that Steve uses to do the clean up seems not to know about our blue recycling bins as he put trash in the recycling I later had to remove to the proper bin. But not a big deal. I am very happy with the work Steve did and would use him again. Additionally I would add that he is a very nice person, personable and happy to explain what he is doing and why.

Had a new roof installed 4 years ago, and during the summer some how we ended up with a bullet hole right in the flashing. We didn't discover this until we noticed leak. This was during a rain storm, so our repair was hastily done. Once done we forgot about it until we noticed that the edging along the roof was warped. This was caused by the repair we did. The repair was beyond my capabilities. I contacted Steve after reading reviews in Angies list.He came over promptly and gave me an estaminet with about a $300.00 variance just in case he found something more once they started the repair. I approved the job, they showed up on time with all the materials required and completed the work as promised. Steve held to the lower price quoted and I was very satisfied.I have a few more projects coming up, and Steve will be the first person I contact.

They did a good job, but they are a little pricey. When I called about the problem, they came immediately.

Steve Alvarado was very professional and helpful. He was on site 90% of the time working alongside his employees. The job was completed in less than 3 days. I was very satisfied with the job.
