Description of Work: Removed old flooring and installed Mexican tiles in the family room. Jose and those helping him were very punctual and very professional. The result is lovely. I'd refer Jose to my friends in a heartbeat.

Description of Work: The crew was terrific they were punctual, respectful and cleaned up each day when they were done. Jose communicated with me whenever there was a question or concern. It was a true pleasure to have a true professional handling my project. We had him install an entryway and custom staircase. Don't waste your time with anyone else.

Description of Work: Jose first laid terracotta tiles on two patios and a balcony. He also laid tile on a Living Room fireplace, grouted stairway riser tiles, and sealed tiles in three bathrooms and a kitchen. He also poured lanings for two sets of French Doors.

 + -1 moreJose's work was superb. He was prompt, reliable, and extremely diligent. He suggested a pattern for laying out the floor tiles that was beautiful and was meticulous in ensuring that the glass mosaic tiles on the tub surround were installed aesthetically with a border where the wall meets the tile. I received estimates from over a half dozen contractors and tilers, and Jose's price was by far the best and one-third the price of his nearest competitor. Those who really know about tiling know that mud floats cost more because of the labor and time required, but even others who use backerboard (an inferior method) were charging more than Jose. In addition, I am a woman and several of the other contractors from whom I received estimates were chauvinists who didn't appreciate the fact that I was knowledgeable about the work I wanted to have done, except for Jose. Jose was absolutely great to work with. His work is not only top-notch, but he is also extremely personable and wonderful.
Description of Work: Jose installed glass mosaic tile in our tub surround, and travertine tile on our bathroom floor. He was excellent. He takes real pride in his craftsmanship and his work was absolutely beautiful. Jose installs tile by using a mud float, which is a far superior method of tile installation for tub surrounds and shower stalls, especially if your walls are not square and you are using high quality tiles like glass mosaics. Jose is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and unlike others who gave me estimates, he did not try to cut any corners. He deserves a POH award.

 + 0 moreI can't say enough positive things about this experience. Jose and Oscar were always prompt, and the one time they were delayed, they called to let me know. They were pleasant throughout, cleaned up well each day, and even considered what time would be the best to cut the tile (w/the noise) for my neighbors. Jose seems to have LOTS of experience and is knowledgeable. He was patient in discussing a couple of options with me about how to lay out the tile. The results are wonderful. I will call him again.
Description of Work: Jose and Oscar installed a porcelain tile floor in my combination powder/laundry room. To do that, they removed the old linoleum, removed the toilet, put down a concrete base, laid out the tile, grouted, and sealed. Most of the work took place on a Saturday and Sunday, but they came back during the week one evening to grout the tile.
