Jose Zamora does excellent work and thus is much in demand. He had a three month backlog when I contacted him to quote the job. Now I understand the backlog is about 4 months. He runs a very professional operation and will send you a detailed contract to sign, along with his quote. He bid our work at about $10,000, which was comparable with the other quotes we received. I went with him because of the excellent recommendation he had on Angie's List and Yelp. Once he started, he and his helper put in full days and completed the job on time. Very hard working guys and excellent craftsmen.
Description of Work: We had 500+ sqft of pavers put in, plus had a 15'x80' strip planted with Rosemary with drip irrigation on it.

Description of Work: Jose and his crew did a great job with my landscaping project. He is always on time, returns phone calls and communicates well. Jose only works one job at a time so he gives your project his full attention. Jose owns heavy equipment that few landscapers in the area own. That means he did not have to rent equipment to get the job done.

Zamora showed up on time and I explained that I wanted a strip of concrete removed from my driveway to improve curb appeal and allow for some privacy between neighbor. He listened to my concerns and asked great questions about project. After thinking it over he gave me his opinion on doing the job would actually not be a good idea. We are selling our house and being that his wife works in real estate he knows what people are looking for. The job I wanted done would turn buyers off. I appreciated his honest opinion even though it meant that he lost out on doing a job. I wish I could've hired him! My parents used him to install a concrete and brick driveway in town and he did a fabulous job for them. Really hard working.
Description of Work: Zamora promptly returned phone call and we scheduled estimate. He showed up on time and gave me some great advice about the job I wanted done.

All went very well......the work took 2 days.....I now have an attractive driveway apron.
Description of Work: Installed pavers on driveway apron (26' x10') after removing asphalt. I talked with 5 contractors and received bids ranging from $3200 to $5500. Jose's bid was originally $3383 but I added some extra work when he was on site. I chose Zamora Landscaping because he expressed confidence in how to handle some elevation changes in my driveway (this problem seemed to perplex some who provided bids), he provided a reasonable bid, and answered questions that were in conformity with how AirVol Block (company who sold the pavers) said were industry standards for laying pavers. I also liked that Zamora provided a fixed price bid while the others were all time and materials (t&m) which has the potential to get out of hand. I checked four of his references (on phone and in person) and they were all very happy customers.

They removed all of the existing material, leveled the yard and did a beautiful installation. The project was a delayed by a big rain storm early in april that flooded the yard, but Jose did a great job completing the project as soon as the yard was ready. Every step of the process was exactly as it should be, from the initial meeting and estimate, all the way through. We even made a few changes along the way and there were no additional charges. Every charge was detailed on the estimate and the final bill was exactly as promised to the penny. Jose did all of the work himself with one additional worker and their attention to detail and communication throughout the project was excellent.
Description of Work: We had Jose Zamora transform our back yard from a neglected plot of concrete patio and poorly maintained grass into a beautiful finished yard of pavers and planters.

I had a retaining wall that was falling down, and was greatly concerned that it would not make it through another rainy season. It had no drainage and wasbarely holding back a hillside next to my house. Jose understood my concerns and drew up a bid right away. It laid out exactly what would be done in great detail and accomodated my special requests. I was impressed with the throughness of the contract that was sent and signed before he started. The dates that I requested were also accomodated. There was only a two-man crew, but I was astonished at the steady speed with which they worked, while carefully attending to every step of the process. A level trench for the footing was dug, a good sturdy foundation was poured, rebar was set, and the blocks were laid with great precision. Then grout was pumped in to make the wall very solid, and gravel placed behind the wall to aid in drainage through the supplied weep-holes. Finally, the original fiill that had been removed was replaced, and they were even able to save a Gardinea that had been planted behind the former retaining wall! I would highly recommend Zamora Landscape and Constuction, and I am going to use them to fix a fence in the back as soon as they are available. I hope this review does not make them too busy :)
Description of Work: Zamora Landscape and Construction tore down an existing retaining wall that was failing, and built a new one.
