The experience was great! The initial visit was informative and productive. The scheduling was courteous and accommodating. The installation crew was professional, polite & punctual as advertised. They answered all of our questions, offered options, and ultimately got the job done in a timely fashion. We love our new HVAC upgrade. It has truly made a difference!

I recently bought a foreclosed home and was not sure of the condition of the heating and air conditioning unit. So I called Gallaghers Plumbing Heating and Air to see if they could check the heating unit out. Gallaghers was more than happy to come and look at the unit and they seemed genuinely happy to have spoken to me. I made the appointment for them to come out for the next morning. Right on time the next morning they showed up. After looking at the heater, the technician told me that I had a couple of leaks in one of the lines coming from the heater. The line that had the leaks would allow carbon monoxide to leak into my house. The technician informed me that I would need a new heater. My heater was installed the very next day. All of the technicians were very friendly and professional. I am very happy to be a customer of a company that is quick to respond to a potentially dangerous situation.

When the 2 man installation crew arrived the first thing one of the two said that the system will not fit in the attic as the salesman said. One hour of walking around, and around my house several times they convinced me that the system needs to be installed below the house in the crawl space. So now they are working and I asked one of the two crew members " should'nt the building permit be posted out in front of the house? His response was that "its in the packet". When the crew returned to work again I once again asked about the building permit, only to get the same response. "Its in the packet". So just for kicks I called the county building dept. and found out that no permit has been pulled for the job at my address. A permit was eventually pulled. The job was completed, I was given a very brief lesson on operating the system, and they were gone. They never called for a final inspection by the county building inspector. A year later the county called me at home and asked if he could come by and do a final inspection to close the open permit.The inspector was out the following Monday and and asked where the main unit of the split system was located. I told him that it was under the house. The inspector immediatly Red Tagged the job. Reason being, that the heater is a propane. Propane is heavier than air. Although they did install a catch pan with a drain pipe through the foundation of the house, in Shasta county it was not legal. The county wanted a engineered drawing of the "catch pan" and then passed the installation. So, with the crew members lying to me about the system not fitting in the attic when in reality it would, i come to the conclusion that its was easier for them to crawl around below the house instead of the attic knowing that it was illegal in Shasta County, then lying again about the permit being pulled for the job.Kenneth R. He went up to the machine, and tinkered around for it a bit. He said it's old, it needs to be replaced, and it needed to be updated. Then, they sent someone to sell me a new one. He tried to let me sign a contract to buy a new machine right then and there. It was kind of a high pressure sale.

They are responsive; they come out when they call.

They are punctual. Their prices are wonderful. They do great work. We had a problem with the air conditioner when they were putting it, but they came right out. They are right here when we call them. Their service is prompt. I would use them in the future.

They installed a completely new heating and air conditioning system; they did the ductwork and everything. The job done was excellent. They were honest and ethical. They did not even wear shoes in the house; they put little booties. They cleaned up after themselves. Everything they said they would do, they did and I had no problems with anything. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

They were in and out in two days. Everything is working fine. They did fine. They were very polite. They were clean and neat. They offered a financing plan.

I have a contract where they come in twice a year to check the unit, before summer and before winter. They are so friendly and clean. They put booties on their feet and they are very conscientious workers.

You probably won’t want to deal with them. The guy was supposed to come out to look at the system and maybe fix any small problems, but I think he is mainly a seller of air units. I get things every week or so telling me that I should buy something; I get tired of those.

They tried to intimidate them into the deal, saying the price was only good for one day. I was not happy with this salesman, he was very pushy and the price was at least double than the other prices we received. I had to ask him to leave.

I was so impressed by their service that I opted to join to submit this weighted report for them! We have a service contract with them and a home warranty so I did not grade the price.

Conversation went down hill real fast. They had me needing to buy NEW heater without even walking out the door !!!!

I would not recommend them to anyone. I was very unhappy with them.

This service was part of an annual inspection contract. It started well and ended badly. After the service was completed the tech started a hard sell on a new HVAC unit. He told me the unit needed to be replaced, and repairs would be cost prohibitive. I told him I didn't have time to discuss a new system and that I'd give it some thought. He continued pushing the issue. I told him I had to leave, and did so. My wife was there to sign the paperwork for the current service, and the tech had the gall to try an push the HVAC unit on her. She ended up calling me at work to get the guy out of the house. By this time he and been pushing us to buy for 45 minutes! I had to tell him to leave over the phone, and felt like I had to leave work to make sure he left. He did leave, but he made us feel very uncomfortable.

A visit was scheduled, the sales rep did not show up, so after about 2 hours we called back (we were busy) and told that they were sending another sales rep. Little did we know he was about two hours away. Anyway the gentleman finally came by and provided a quote based on our square footage alone. He did not look at the crawlspace or walk around the house. He based the price on their standard stock units. We contacted Del Johnson Heating & Air in Paradise and got excellent service. Additionally Gallagher's continues to keep me on their mailing list despite numerous calls and a certified letter. I don't like to put down local companies but stay away from them.

when we had them replace our entire unit there were on going issues over a long period of time. both galligers and we were very frustrated as it seemed that the problems were never going to be straightened out.. the manufacturer was of little help in resolving the problems. galligers never abondoned us. they were at our residence continually. they would overcome one problem just to have another arrise. they were always pleasant and rapidly responded to our requests. finally, after many trips to our home, the person in charge ordered us a whole new unit from a different manufacturer. they did this without the cooperation or support of the original manufacturer. since that time they are preforming the standard maintaince checks for us and the new unit is working wonderfuly. although we feel that the new unit should have been installed much sooner than it was, we feel very appreciative to galligers for their stick to it. their customer service is excellent, their people very professional and their customer loyality outstanding
