Storm Electric

I was referred to Storm Electric by another electrician who was booked for two weeks in advance. My 'emergency' was lack of lights in the kitchen. I am at my folks house and completely unfamiliar with the lighting set up they have. Norm responded to my call immediately and then 'talked' me through several possible scenario's. I have a 100 year old craftsman home. I had several different electrical issues that I asked them to fix. They installed in-wall lighting at the top of my stairs. This involved tapping into an existing electrical switch for power, then fishing the wire to the various points where the lights would be. They notched the drywall and drilled across several studs to reach the final location of the light. They had to work around the structural members that support the top of the stairs. I also asked them to remove some knowb and tube under my living room. They entered the crawl space and traced the wire back to where it had been joined to more recent wiring. They replaced the knob and tube and fished the line up the wall to the electrical outlets in the LR and reconnected the outlet. Because of the challenges with knob and tube, they tested every single outlet and light in the entire building after they cut into the KnT. Finally, they traced down a fault with some additional lighting. (not related to the KnT work). Those lights were installed by the previuos homeowner. I'd tried to fix them myself. I am familiar with the electrical code, but was not able to solve this issue, but they did resolve it. (The existing wiring for those lights was very "creative".) Their work was clean and professional. They vaccumed up after all of the drywall cutting, and screwed the drywall pieces back into place. (I'd agreed to do my own plaster work.) All of the electrical lines are run neatly and fastened appropriately to the framing.
