Django and crew were professional and delivered excellent service. Met us at the nursery to help select type of plants we liked. The removal of our old lawn and installation of new one proceeded over one week as planned. The crews worked efficiently and left the site clean each day. Our lawn now looks great and achieves the clean look we wanted with hummingbird friendly plantings.

IMS has been providing weekly yard maintenance service for a month. So far we are happy with their service. The two men work quickly and efficiently to remove the many leaves from our yard. On the first visit they trimmed the bushes and vines as requested. I believe their price is competitive. IMS also has an owner who will work with us to install updated landscaping in the future.

The owner, Alberto, was knowledgeable and seemed to understand that I wanted all the weeds and remaining grass removed from the planting areas. He explained it would take some time to kill and remove the grass as the roots were deep. After a few months, I asked the workers why the grass was still there, seemingly unchanged and they said they could not dig it out but would have to kill it slowly. By November (10 months later), the grass was still there. The appearance of the entire yard started to deteriorate and weeds were everywhere by this time. Other workers started commenting that it looked like I need some help with the yard work and giving me their cards. They were surprised to hear that I had a service. The condition of the yard was almost as bad as when they started the previous January. I notified them that I would be discontinuing service as of January 2013 along with my November payment. They did not return after that for regular service during December and made no attempt to find out why I had cancelled. It was probably obvious if they drove by the house. I now have a very competent gardener and the yard is back in shape.

After trading messages for them to come to trhe house for an estimate they never called back.

Owner is great and very polite, and we walked through the entire garden together pointing out things that we wanted done and explaining how we wanted them (how much to trim, what to rip out, etc). He then translated our needs to the 2 people who actually perform the work. After 2 full days of clean up, things looked overall great, except that some items were missed and others overdone. We've requested to keep all small trees that grew from a seed since we wanted to replant them and we had only about 10 of these. 2 fruit ones were very rare and got ripped out. To buy these, it would cost at least $200 given that they were ~4 years old. A green wall separating us from neighbors got cut in height against our wishes. It'll grow back quickly, but demonstrated weakness in following directions. Next to that green wall is a medium-sized rare pineapple guava tree which got trimmed a little for no reason. This is a slow growing tree. Three long green walls were cut to where the road/walkway begins, leaving an ugly view of dead branches or just empty spots. There is a lot of space next to these plants and we've asked the workers to cut the width but to a point where we'd have green leaves vs. branches showing after the trimming. We also noted that the trimming doesn't have to be as far back as where the sidewalk begins. We've planted 2 small bushes to extend the green wall which got cut after specific instructions not to do so. We mentioned to the workers that we'll be adding some posts to tie the branches to have them grow up. Some garbage was left on the lawn (some paper and plastic wraps). Some items we wanted ripped out went untouched and the workers were very accommodating at taking care of that during their next weekly visit. If you get this company, I suggest you don't leave out a single detail of what you'd like done. The workers came back to take care of some unfinished items, including getting leaves from under several bushes. They did that on 2 out of 3 bushes, but didn't even touch the huge pile of eucalyptus branches on top of a bush that is about 3ft high. I would expect the workers to think a little outside the box and clean something if it's an area they are already working on. Similarly, the leaves under a big tree were cleaned up but the weed not taken out. As part of weekly maintenance, the lawn grass was trimmed, but the dead fruit that was on it was overlooked, although it's part of maintenance to clean that. There were other smaller things like this, but the instructions were not followed. Punctuality is also not there. Since some clean up was needed after the initial maintenance, I needed to walk the workers through the garden again before leaving for work. They gave me a 1 hour window, which they missed by an additional 45 minutes. All communication was done with me leaving voicemails and the company calling me back within 24 hours. When I called to cancel the service, I left a voicemail and never heard back on confirmation. It's been a week now. Hope this help

G**** came to do an estimate. He gave me exact pricing for weekly and bi-weekly garden maintenance service. I even asked him to break it down if they only do the front lawn. He was professional and seemed easy to work with. I got estimates from 4 suppliers. I was looking for the best value and I really don't need it to be maintained weekly. IMS was the only one that did the bi-weekly service for $90. All other suppliers were $120 and above and someone even quoted me a ridiculous price of $400-500. So I decided to give IMS a try. 2 people come to the house bi-weekly. They do a great job cleaning, mowing the lawn and pruning the bushes. They even told me if I had a new plant, they can plant it for me. I'm pretty satisfied and would recommend them to anyone.

They do an excellent job! Very reliable, prompt and professional. The best yard service we've ever had. Highly recommended! We are very happy with them.

It was a good price. But again the price relates to the size of the backyard and the kind of work they are doing on a monthly or weekly or biweekly basis. So there are number variables. But I think it was a very good price that they gave me. I truly like the owner of the company who came. He is a very nice person. I currently have the landscaping done. But I do think that I might want to stop the present person and have IMS do the work for me. So I do need to hear other people’s opinion of them. I was pleased with the way the estimate was done and its presentation. I am thinking of using him in the future.

Excellent work, very thorough! This is without doubt the best the yard has looked in the 20+ years we've lived here. The weekly care, after some adjustments, is working very well at keeping things trimmed and clean. The guys work hard and I am impressed.

The entire process went fantastically well. As part of the quoting process, they listened carefully to what we were trying to do and what the challenges were. They presented a plan with a suggested budget amount so that we could be sure that we were on the same page. Ultimately, we went with their first suggestion. Through every step of the process, IMS kept us informed and followed through on all of its commitments. They cleaned up after each day's work, not inconveniencing us in anyway. They did an absolutely fantastic job and the yard is beautiful. The new plants, ground cover and lawn are thriving and are growing in nicely. The front lawn, where they reworked the sprinkler system has never looked better. We also hired them to do the weekly maintenance and their work to date is terrific.

They were responsive and extremely professional. They obviously understand gardens and they have the landscape and garden skills. The person that came out worked very diligently. He wore a uniform and he was clean. He worked the whole time. Every time I walked by the area, he was just working away. They did a beautiful job and it is the nicest thing that I've ever had done. I am in a condominium and it is a very small yard. I only need somebody once a quarter so I always end up going out and grabbing somebody and they end up doing a cut and hack job and charge me all kinds of prices. These people are willing to work with me on a quarterly basis to come by and keep things trimmed and do things like, if the sprinklers need to be fixed, they fix those. They are outstanding. Their price was reasonable. They did tell me it would take a while and it took two weeks for them to get to me but they are busy. I will definitely continue to use them.

Alex and his crew are the best. They're extremely responsive, very resourceful and flexible, and just do great work. I'd hire them anytime.

It goes very well. They do a good job and I have recommended them to others. The people that come out are hard workers and the owner does a good job of managing them. There is a systematic program so they deliver the services that are needed at that time of the year.

I paid $280.00 for the initial clean-up and I pay $90.00 for their bi-weekly service. They have great customer service. The owner is very knowledgeable. They are very organized. They are very professional and customer service oriented.

I have contracted to do a bimonthly service in my yard. Their price is really good. They show up on time. They are professional. They do a good job for me. I would continue to use them in the future.

They were very nice. It was a difficult choice as to which company to go with. The company I finally chose seemed to be a little bit more focused and full of ideas compared to IMS Landscaping & Maintenance. They quoted me about $490. It was a little bit less than the company I went with, but not significantly. Alberto was the fellow who came out. He was really great and I liked him very much. If need be, I would contact them again.

We pay about $85 a month. I really like them and they are very hard working. They were putting extra hours in the beginning. We had a specific project for them to clean up an area. They worked late to get it done. They did a very good job. The neighbors commented on it. I referred them to the neighbors. I am not sure if they hired them or not. I do not hesitate to refer them. The person who helped me is Alberto. He coordinates what they do. We have had some issues at times about miscommunication or difficulty communicating. It was never a problem with this group. I have had gardeners who have stopped work without any notice and never came back. They are very reliable and do good work. They do not hack through the job. When they are doing a clean up, they do a very nice job with good quality. They leave things looking very very nice without having to do extensive redo's. The quality of their work has been consistently good. I would hire them again without hesitation. We have good work done by a number of people. I think I would feel the best about IMS Landscaping. I would not hesitate to recommend them. That is what makes me so anxious to give a referral about them.

Alex came out right on time to give me the estimate. On the scheduled day two gentlemen showed up punctually and did a great job.

We just started with them, but I would say that so far, they have been very consistent with their work. The owner explained that they go through a seasonal check list and that everything gets done on a week-by-week and a month-by-month basis. So far that's working great and everything that needs to get done is getting done.

From first contact through the end of the job, they did a great job. They answered all calls quickly. When changes had to be made they were responsive. They were prompt, did quick, quality work and cleaned up thoroughly. I hope to work with them again.

The additional clean up to meet the standards of San Jose went very well. The did exactly what was required and they were inexpensive and quick. For the front and back landcape they didn't finish right away. I had to call them back. The job was adequate, but still inexpensive. They were personable both times.
