WESTSIDE DOOR & MOULDING

We ordered a solid wood door from the company and planned to have our contractor do the installation. The salesman Mr. Jamie Wizenberg was very friendly and professional. The door was delivered on time. However, when the time came for the installation a few days later, we found a discoloration of the wood at the bottom of the door. When I notified Jamie of the problem, he was very helpful and gave me a replacement door free of charge and the company even delivered it for free. I was feeling a little desperate when the problem occurred, for the time table for the remodeling was tight, but Jamie and the company's quick response put me at ease. The door was beautiful and we are very happy that we used Westside Door and Moulding.

The levers had to be special ordered and I was told it would take a few days to a week for the product to arrive. The levers arrived promptly and are beautiful and functional.

We Needed windows replaced-Went to Westside to look at the products they offered-Retturned home and then went TO WESTSIDE WEBSITE to find a professional and local window installers-and from there it was all down hill-The company PLS Builders owned and run by Peter Jones (a one man show with many aliases we find out) was to come out and measure the windows and help with the order-He came out and seemed like he knew what he was doing-took measurements and a down payment to order the windowsSo after a few revisions on the exact order-Peter Jones said he ordered the windows from Westside-(they both had worked together)After 4 weeks and no call from Peter-I called WESTSIDE to confirm the order-Low and behold NO Windows were ordered-I asked them why Peter did not place the order and WHY THEY RECOMMEND thisterrible guy who is incompetent and basically took our check for the window order and did not follow thru-Cashing the check and taking the money-$2300.00 !When I talked to the owner Howard-he said he could do nothing about it-THEN why was PLS Builders listed on the recommendations as an window installer on their web site?Anyway we did not like Westside and feel they did not help with getting our money back nor oweing up to the fact that Peter Jones stole our money and WAS listed as a professional window installer- We would never have hired him if he was not on their list !! Howard Maybe you can give us back my $2300.00 that Peter ran off with-I sure hope Howard is not doing business with this rip-off Peter- We have not received our money back from Peter and had to order new windows and find a new installer-and are out $2300.00

I ordered 2 custom sliding glass doors and was told it would take approximately 8 wks. The windows actually came in several days earlier and my construction project wasn't ready for the installation. I asked for the windows to be held for 1 1/2 weeks and Westside was happy to do it. Once I was ready for installation I asked for the windows to be delivered a week apart from each other because I live in a condo and there is no storage. Again Westside was happy to do it. The delivery was on time for each of my windows on each of the deliveries. Once unpacked one of the frames had a big scratch from the manufacturer and I called Westside to find out how this is handled - they immediately called me back and advised that they called the manufacturer and I would hear from the manufacturer directly and if there was any problem to contact Westside again. The manufacturer called me the next day and their warranty team came out two weeks later with a new part and installed it. I was EXTREMELY happy with my experience with Westside and would use them again.

Juan came and measured the windows, and they were delivered and installed in in a few weeks. When they were installed, I noticed that there was excess calking material oozing along each of the eight panes of glass in both windows. I pointed this out to Jaun, and he said that this was easily removed, and that my painters should do it. I let it go. My painters have now spent several hours trying to strip the calking away with a razor blade, which has proven to be very difficult. When I phoned Juan and told him about it, he said that all of his windows come in this way, and that it was the responsibility of the painters to clean them up. (My painter said that he has worked on many new windows, and this is usually NOT the case.) Juan absolutely refused to do anything about cleaning up the windows and was unhelpfull and rude on the phone. I strongly recommend NOT using this company!

Not enough time to waste more on these guys.

We are please with the doors. They are very high quality (and should be for what we paid). Of course, they came unfinished, so we had to have them stained, installed, and hardware added separately and at an additional cost, which made them quite costly. They do match well though, which was the goal.

I was told that I could get discount quality doors from them. I ordered doors, but received the wrong ones, the style did not match what I had. There was a misunderstanding. I had to pay for the doors in full before they would deliver them, and thus see if they were the correct doors. Upon delivery they also only had one man. He could not lift and carry the doors, so he had to go back and find another person to come with him to deliver the doors, thus a few more days went by. They had assumed that I would have a crew to take them off the truck. I did not have a crew, as I was only putting in French doors. Also the quality of the doors was not any better than what I could have gotten at a local hardware store. Yet the price was a lot more.

While I had heard great things about them, they didn't live up to the promise. Windows arrived in the wrong size, and they refused to accept responsibility for their errors. Then, when I questioned the delays in receiving the replacements, they were exceptionally rude, and it took months to sort everything out.
