I called West Coast chief repair on a Monday morning they were here in less than an hour completed the repairs quickly answered all questions completely very courteous and did the work that was required I would highly recommend utilizing their services

Communicating with this company was the greatest pain, they sent a tech over to check out my broken gas stove top and he made an estimate and told me I would receive a report within the next 24 hours, with replacement models attached. I called every day for the next 10 days, and while I receive an estimate that told me my cooktop needed to be replaced, I never received information about what to replace my cooktop with. With such poor customer service, communication, and turn around time, I will never use this company again,

I made a blunder by contacting West Coast Chief Repair for a refrigerator repair based on Home Advisor recommended list of pros. They sent a Service Technician to my house but he was totally clueless about why the water dispenser was not working. He did not even bother to open the refrigerator or check the water dispenser dashboard to see where the problem might be. He just told us that he needs to check with his Supervisor to see what might be the problem and would then give us an estimate. He left after that and called me after three days and gave me an estimate of $375 to fix the problem. How do we know that his estimate is real if he had no idea where the problem was and who knows what he is trying to replace or whether the replacement parts would be functional? And then I get billed $45 for his 2-minute visit and when I called them to explain his abrupt visit and complete lack of expertise, they threatened to report me to a debt collection agency if I did not pay up right away. I did pay them to avoid ruining my credit history. Horrible experience and I would never ever suggest anyone hiring them ever.

I liked that the tech, Serge, made sure to order replacement parts from the manufacturer so I got top quality replacements. He made sure that the repair would be a long term fix. And he was professional and courteous. I really appreciated how friendly and respectful everyone I dealt with was. I was a no-stress fix!

This company called me quickly and scheduled appointment the next day, which I appreciated. However, the technician looked at my wall furnace and said ?that?s Mickey Mouse,? speaking of the installation of the furnace. He said that it was not installed correctly, was unsafe, and shut the gas valve. He had concerns about the venting (which he never actually checked) and said that a wall thermostat could not be installed. I asked him to elaborate, but he again just repeated what he had already said. He then paused and said I could replace the entire furnace for $2300. Now it was obvious that he just wanted to make money on an unnecessary replacement. I paid the service call fee of $45 and that was that. Lb Then the gas company arrived a few days later (first available appointment), checked the venting of the furnace, inspected the rest of it and said it was fine, working & venting properly. He said that a wall thermostat could be installed with a small replacement of a certain part. These guys are just looking for a big payday by recommending replacement of systems that are completely unnecessary. Do not bother considering their service. Dishonest.

See below for my Original Review. This is an addendum/update to the original. The company has since refunded me 30 percent due to my dissatisfaction with quality and pricing. As a result of the repairs I had floor damage due to the technicians faulty installation of a water hose. Also parts pricing was over inflated. The 30 percent refund which I promptly received via mail brought the total cost for the repairs into the realm of "fair". Kudos to the company's pro-active and prompt response upon seeing my "less than stellar" reviews. A representative called and "heard me out" regarding my poor experience. Scheduling, customer service, promptness, etc. were all good. My issues were and still are the lack of trouble-shooting, inflated parts pricing and faulty install by technician. I know that sometime **IT happens so am giving this company a little break on that. This is my ORIGINAL review: Price Gauging!, Fear Tactics!, Poor Installation!, NO trouble-shooting! Refrigerator: Two Issues. Water Leak & Frig was too cold/freezing. Water Leak: Replaced plastic hose with metal mesh hose. (AFTER I diagnosed the problem. Tech insisted problem was "internal plumbing" NOT the frig. I persisted and upon deduction/trouble-shooting we found pin hole leak in plastic hose. Four days later....still leaking! Pulled out frig and discovered technician did NOT sufficiently tighten Hose connector! Major leak with floor damage! Tech used "fear tactics" to say Hose Connector AND Water Valve needed to be replace! $150 for part (was going to be a nice guy and NOT charge for labor!). I went online after part was ordered (still waiting for call that part has come in) and discovered part costs $57....PRICE GAUGING!? I removed hose connector, added teflon tape and replaced/tightened....NO leaking! FRIG is TOO COLD/FREEZING: Tech said temperature control/damper needed to be replaced. (NO other possibilities explored. I asked TWICE if tech was "confident" this was the problem/issue....he firmly stated "yes"). Part was ordered. Estimate $450.00 quoted for parts/labor. Four days later tech came back to install. $400 for part/labor. ($50 reduction for cash!). I went online after the fact and find part available for under $60!. Install/labor took less than five minutes! $400 for parts/labor!? PRICE GAUGING!? Also the "fear tactic" method of convincing customer to purchase parts not needed. NO trouble-shooting was done....no looking to see if condensor coils need cleaning or if fan needed cleaning etc. After four days of letting frig "settle in" with new temp control/damper control.....NO change! Frig still freezing! I went online for tutorials and found list of possible reasons for frig freezing! Went through the suggested "trouble-shooting" items such as Clean Condensor Coils, Clean Compressor/Condensor Fan, turn Freezer control to higher temp...and VOILA!..... temp is holding steady now at 37-3

"Do not hire this company", they tried to change me $460.12 to repair my ice maker, I paid them the $35 service call fee and called someone else. The other companied charged me $177 for the same work with parts included. I asked John Leu to put my ice maker back the way he found it and he said he did. When the other company came, they showed me that he did not hook the ice maker back up at all. Always get a second quote, because they grossly over charge and they will tell you that it is because they have to get the parts from the manufacture, however the refrigerator is over 15 years old and the manufacture does not sell those parts anymore, so you have to get after market parts. They called me to check on the service and I told them about what happen and they agree to refund my $35. I will wait and see if that happens, if not then I will let everyone know.
