Wayne's Junk Removal

Wayne was the consummate professional, coming into a messy house and helping us clear it out. We originally planned to haul much less, but went for the 20' truck instead and basically packed it to the brim. He was strong, organized, put a plan in motion and incredibly respectful. It felt good to know Wayne was willing to donate and recycle as much as possible, as there was sentimental value to some of the things we had to let go of. He promptly mailed us a receipt for his services and he's also sending us an itemized receipt for our donations. Wayne is a good guy, with a good attitude. It's clear why he's a favorite on Angies' list. He knows how to do the job and is sensitive to the needs and wishes of his clients. Great guy.

Very good, thorough work. I definitely will be using the service again. Concerning the "B" rating for punctuality, note that Wayne did call to update me on arrival time.

Wayne came out promptly and provided a competitive cost estimate and was able to start work within days. He and his crew were professional, hard working, and thorough. We added some other large items to be hauled away and all in all had a very good experience. The work was done without causing any damage and the driveway and other areas were left very clean. I would use Wayne again and would recommend him to others.

I called Wayne at the last minute after another party had postponed hauling away all the junk left over after the sale of a 3k sq ft house. He quoted me a price over the phone, showed up on time, and efficiently and cheerfully packed everything from old Christmas ornaments to cinder blocks in his truck and left just ahead of my appointment with the real estate agent.The day was another stressful deadline for me, and what a relief to deal with someone who is so reliable and good humored. Hire this guy!

Wayne came and did what he said he would. It took a couple trips, due to my miscalculations. After a little recalculation, he completed the job! Wayne and his crew did a great job on the clean up. He exceeded my expectations!

We choose Waynegrow from Angie's List, I called and my call way returned later in the day. I explained the nature of the items we needed to have hauled away, Wayne gave me an estimate and said he could come two days later. We set a time and he arrived right on time with a helper and proceeded to do the job very efficiently.

Wayne gave an estimate over the phone after I gave him measurements of the furniture and he was super flexible schedule-wise. On the date of our scheduled pick up he called to say he was running a bit late which I appreciated. He and his worker came and carefully and strategically removed the piece without any problems. .. And he was a really nice guy. I will use him again for sure.

It went extremely well--as it always has with Wayne. Fast, careful, and friendly. He's great.

The work went good. He did what he was supposed to do and there was no hassle. He just came and got it done. You have to just make sure that you talk him through what you want.

This was a really horrible job and a feared I would not find anyone to take it on. We had 3500 tons of concrete slabs in our yard which once served as a garden walkway . The slabs were disintegrating. Adding to the problem was the access stairway to the lower yard -- a very small stairway. I got lucky on Angie's List by zeroing in on vendors who would haul away cement. Wayne's Junk Removal came up first and based on the other reviews I contacted him. Phew, am I glad I did. I sent him an email with photos. He responded that evening saying he would soon be in our area and take a look personally. He came two days later, looked at it, gave us a firm quote, and booked the job for the following Tuesday. We got the job done from start to finish in 5 days. Readers should note that Wayne took the cement slabs to an LA County Recycling Center for disposal. Wayne came with two fellows, a truck and a sledge hammer. They had to break up the slabs to carry them up to the truck. It was a five hour job and not fun - everyone was of good cheer about it though. Wayne personally worked on tidying up the area on completion. They arrived on time and left on schedule. I emailed Wayne with a list of what I needed done. He responded that night with some questions about the size of load he would need to put in a truck. We agreed to meet today (6/4) at 5:30 pm for an estimate. He arrived promptly and went over everything I needed done. We agreed on the price. He and his workers quickly completed all tasks, stopping periodically to confirm where I wanted things put. He supervised their work closely (working with them as well) making sure everything was done properly. They worked for approximately 1-1/2 hours, cleaned up dirt dropped in the driveway, and were on their way.

Wayne was a pleasure to work with. I tried a few other junk guys first and they were frustrating to work with (slow, disorganized, not smart). As soon as I spoke with Wayne I knew he was different and he didn't disappoint. He and his crew work hard and accomplish a lot. They are really pleasant guys to have around. They were always very positive and nice even when confronted with a really awful mess. I basically presented Wayne and his crew with a huge and unappealing job and they took care of it in an organized and professional way. They worked fast but thoughtfully (they found a few treasures in the junk and set them aside for me). They were careful to separate out recyclable materials as they worked. They always cleaned up when they finished for a day or completed an area. I really can't say enough good things about Wayne. I was pretty desperate when faced with the clean-up of a huge mess and he really came through for me. No matter what type of job you are faced with I would suggest calling him to discuss it. He is a smart, hard-working, honest person, and he has good people working with him.

We contacted Wayne via email and he promptly responded. After a couple of emails with more details and a picture of the job Wayne submitted a very reasonable quote. We decided on a day and even with the risk of rain he kept to that date and time. He and his associate, Nicky, showed up perfectly on-time and they were both instantly likable and professional. I showed them the job which was spread in different areas of the property. They had a couple of clarifying questions and then they immediately got started. In the beginning Wayne gave me a time estimate of how long the job would take and he nailed it. During that time period they hauled heavy flat stones, old lawn furniture, and other debris up a flight of stairs to his truck. They even dug some out of the dirt where the stones had sat for so long. It was grueling work but neither of them complained or even took much of a break for that matter. At the end of the work I walked the property to inspect the work and they had gotten everything perfectly as discussed. They then swept the driveway area and made sure everything was satisfactory which, without question, it was. I had sprung some last minute add-ons on them when they arrived so the quote went up, but only very slightly and again very fair. During the whole process, from email to finish, both Wayne and Nicky were courteous, professional, and very pleasant to work with. We're very pleased and would definitely use them again.

One of my tenants was an extreme hoarder. When she vacated, there was literally a ton of stuff to dispose of, including trash, food, medication, household chemicals, electronics, and a variety of other items. I received one estimate for $600, and that person made no mention or sorting anything. I think they intended to take it all to the dump. Wayne outlined all the stops he would make after the cleanout - the Sheriff's station to dispose of medication, donations, hazardous waste, recyclables, then the dump. As you'll see, he charged $5 less, for a more detailed and professional job. Also, Wayne didn't just bid the job and send someone else to do it. He was there, working alongside his two helpers. He takes pride in his work, and he's environmentally friendly, too!

It went okay. They were very responsive. I wouldn't recommend them. They were a little vague in their pricing. The price depends on the size of the truck. In layman's terms, it's a little difficult to know what the price will be. I was under a time bind, and I needed a service. They were able to come out in the next day or two.

They were punctual and polite and cleaned up well after a near flood in the kitchen. However, instead of removing the water hose properly from the refrigerator and turning off the water supply, they cut it and the water started flowing. I would think that someone who does this for a living would know that. Thank goodness we had buckets and towels and kettles to receive the water from the water line.

Very punctual, professional, and courteous. Hauled away a huge pile of junk in a very quick amount of time. Took everything I asked them to take -- and they even recycle things that can be recycled.

Wayne came when he promised, he was polite and game for the task at hand. He left the place very clean, and I would use him again in a heartbeat (hope I don't need to though!) and I would recommend him highly to anyone who can use his services.

I emailed Wayne on 12/23/10 and he was able to come out to do the job the next day, Christmas Eve. Due to the recent heavy rains, the awning covering my French doors had collapsed, with a huge amount of vines and vegetation entangled with the awning. It took Wayne and his assistant Nicky a little over two hours (and several power-saw blades) to completely remove the awning with all the vines. They were punctual, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. I recommend them highly!

I had called 3 hauling companies off of Angie's List and Wayne was the first to contact me via e-mail. He met me at the house and accepted the very difficult task of cleaning out my uncle's house after living there for over 50 years. This problem was compounded by fact that he was a hoarder and other disgusting issues, such as rodent problems, mold and food spoilage. Wayne and his crew didn't hesitate taking on this job and over the course of 4 days, they hauled away 14,000 pounds (7 tons) of belongings, appliances, furniture and garbage. It took over 4 loads, using his 28 foot truck, to complete the job. Wayne also made sure to sort those items as needed and dispose of them appropriately - scrape metal, hazardous waste, etc. His 2 helpers, Nicky and, sorry I can't recall the other person's name, were great as well. Nicky made it a point to set aside some pictures that he found while cleaning the house and brought those to my attention, while the other crew member bravely battled any rodents left in the house and the backyard. They were also courteous and friendly to the neighbors, answering questions and explaining the situation my uncle's friends. At the end of the job, Wayne provided me with the names of exterminators and gardeners that he had used so I could finish preparing the lot for sale. It was a good overall experience for me and I would strongly recommend his services to others.

Very well. Wayne was very responsive by email and phone. He had one helper who was very effectie and professional as well, and they got the job done within 15 minutes of the estimted time [ok... the fact is, I kept adding stuff. They assured me it was ok]. They showed up, sorted what was going from what wasn't, asked when they weren't sure, and stuffed a two car garage into a truck in less than an hour. He emailed the receipt for easy records and sent a nice thank you note for the business.

They couldn't have been friendlier! They were prompt, worked hard and did everything I asked. It was a tricky job because some of the metal pieces were holding up portions of my land and they had to be careful not to take out the wrong pieces. They did a great job and I would use them again.

Arrived a little later than promised (because previous job ran longer than expected), got right to work and finished promptly with everything removed as promised.

Everything went on schedule, on price, and he speaks English.
